Abstract: The disclosure relates to mineral processing, and more particularly to a copper(II)-ammonia complex ion sulfidization activator, and its preparation and application. A molar ratio of NH3 to Cu2+ in the active ingredient of the copper(II)-ammonia complex ion sulfidization activator is 2:1-4:1. The preparation method includes: dropwise adding an ammonia solution to a copper salt solution; and adjusting the mixture to pH 6-7.2 with dilute sulfuric acid to obtain the copper(II)-ammonia complex ion sulfidization activator. During the sulfidization flotation for the copper oxide ore, the copper(II)-ammonia complex ion sulfidization activator is added and mixed uniformly with the ore slurry prior to the introduction of the sulfidizing agent.

Abstract: In one embodiment, storage drive dependent track removal processing logic performs destage tasks for tracks cached in a cache as a function of whether the storage drive is classified as a fast class or as slow class of storage drives, for example. In one embodiment, a destage task configured for a slow class storage drive, transfers an entry for a track selected for destaging from a main cache list to a wait cache list to await destaging to the slow class drive. A destage task configured for a fast class storage drive allows the cache list entry for the selected track to remain on the main cache list while the selected track is being destaged to the fast class storage drive, thereby bypassing the transfer of the entry to a wait cache list. Other features and aspects may be realized, depending upon the particular application.

Abstract: An apparatus includes: a generation unit that generates a PWM wave based on a sound signal; and a processing unit that converts the PWM wave to a square wave. Abstract: Systems and methods taught herein enable simultaneous forward and side detection of light originating within a microfluidic channel disposed in a substrate. At least a portion of the microfluidic channel is located in the substrate relative to a first side surface of the substrate to enable simultaneous detection paths with respect to extinction (i.e., 0°) and side detection (i.e., 90°). The location of the microfluidic channel as taught herein enables a maximal half-angle for a ray of light passing from a center of the portion of the microfluidic channel through the first side surface to be in a range from 25 to 90 degrees in some embodiments. By placing at least the portion of the microfluidic channel proximate to the side surface of the substrate, a significantly greater proportion of light emitted or scattered from a particle within the microfluidic channel can be collected and imaged on a detector as compared to conventional particle processing chips.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an anti-miRNA delivery system, and more specifically, relates to a technique of using a cancer-targeting anti-miRNA delivery system including porous silicon nanoparticles containing anti-miRNA to which a cancer cell surface protein-binding peptide is conjugated, for use in treating cancer. As a result of intensive studies in order to use and apply anti-miR-21 oligonucleotides to the treatment of ovarian cancer, the present inventors confirmed for the first time that when porous silicon nanoparticles containing an anti-miRNA-21 oligonucleotide to which a specific cancer cell surface protein-binding peptide is conjugated are applied, apoptosis is induced in an ovarian cancer cell line and cell viability is reduced, thus, an anti-miRNA delivery system, which is the aforementioned conjugate, is expected to be usefully used as a platform for treating various cancers, especially for treating ovarian cancer.

Abstract: The invention relates to an inserter for an infusion set for intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutical substance, such as e.g. insulin. The inserter comprises a needle hub comprising an insertion needle and two spring units assuring automatic insertion and automatic retraction of the insertion needle. The inserter comprises a housing (1), a carrier body (2) carrying an infusion part (8), a needle hub (3), a first moving unit (4) bringing the carrier body (2) to a forward position and a second moving unit (5) bringing the carrier body (2) to a retracted position. Abstract: Techniques are provided for selection of machine learning algorithms based on performance predictions by using hyperparameter predictors. In an embodiment, for each mini-machine learning model (MML model), a respective hyperparameter predictor set that predicts a respective set of hyperparameter settings for a data set is trained. Each MML model represents a respective reference machine learning model (RML model). Data set samples are generated from the data set. Meta-feature sets are generated, each meta-feature set describing a respective data set sample. A respective target set of hyperparameter settings are generated for said each MML model using a hypertuning algorithm. The meta-feature sets and the respective target set of hyperparameter settings are used to train the respective hyperparameter predictor set. Each hyperparameter predictor set is used during training and inference to improve the accuracy of automatically selecting a RML model per data set.
Abstract: A method of monitoring and controlling a molding clamping apparatus in an injection molding or other molding process is disclosed. The method includes creating a target strain profile, receiving a deviation limit, receiving a change in strain relating to a mold while it is closing from a first strain gauge, identifying a deviation from a target strain profile based on the output from the first strain gauge, determining that the deviation exceeds the deviation limit, and adjusting the rate or force of clamp movement. The target strain profile may have a first portion relating to a clamp closing process, a second portion relating to a filling process, and a third portion relating to a clamp opening process. The first portion relating to the clamp closing process may include an intermediate portion relating to a coining process having an intermediate clamp force setpoint.
