Abstract: A method for producing a structural section of a vehicle comprises the steps of providing multiple separate skin panels of a fiber-reinforced plastic having an inner side, an outer side and a border running peripherally around the respective skin panel; arranging at least one stiffening component of a fiber-reinforced plastic on each skin panel, on the respective inner side; integrally connecting the respective at least one stiffening component to the skin panels concerned to form a structural component; arranging at least two structural components on a carrier, so that at least regions of the borders of the structural components concerned are in surface-area contact; and integrally connecting the regions of the borders that are in surface-area contact to one another.

Abstract: A tilt adjustable head attachment assembly for a clamshell style bucket for orienting first and second bucket halves at an angle relative to a length axis extending through an elongated and rigid attachment associated with a piece of power equipment, for supporting and manipulating the bucket. A frame has a three dimensional body, upwardly extending pillar mounts located at upper ends of the body and incorporating support shafts for receiving overlapping hinged locations associated with support arms for each of the first and second clamshell bucket halves. A platen is positioned pivotally arranged between the pillar mounts and includes an upper location engaged by an end projection of the elongated attachment.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for optimizing a satellite system considering a hard error stability and a soft error stability are disclosed. The satellite system optimizing method which considers a hard error stability and a soft error stability according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes acquiring hardware information of a processor which is loaded in the satellite system; acquiring workload information including a task which is performed by the processor; establishing a scheduling policy for the task based on the hardware information and the workload information; and quantifying a soft error stability and a hard error stability in accordance with the scheduling policy.

The bone stabilization system includes a bone plate having an upper surface and a lower surface configured to be in contact with bone, the bone plate having an opening extending from the upper surface to the lower surface. Abstract: A power supply device includes battery cells each having a rectangular external shape, a separator disposed between the battery cells, a pair of end plates that are disposed on respective ends of a battery assembly in which the separator and the battery cells are stacked, and a bind bar that binds the pair of end plates. The separator has insulating rib parts that protrude from both surfaces of the separator, and the insulating rib parts of the separator stacked on each surface of the battery cell are stacked on each other on a bottom surface of the battery cell. The insulating rib parts are stacked on each other on the bottom surface of the battery cell by inserting an insertion rib provided in one of the stacked insulating rib parts into an insertion groove provided in the other of the stacked insulating rib parts.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a magnetic head includes first and second magnetic poles, and a stacked body provided between the first and second magnetic poles. The stacked body includes a first magnetic layer, a second magnetic layer provided between the second magnetic pole and the first magnetic layer, a third magnetic layer provided between the second magnetic pole and the second magnetic layer, a first non-magnetic layer provided between the first magnetic layer and the first magnetic pole, a second non-magnetic layer provided between the second and first magnetic layers, a third non-magnetic layer provided between the third and second magnetic layers, and a fourth non-magnetic layer provided between the second magnetic pole and the third magnetic layer. A thickness of the first magnetic layer is thicker than a thickness of the second magnetic layer. A thickness of the third magnetic layer is thicker than the second layer thickness.
Abstract: A head encapsulation unit is disclosed which filters virus contaminated air. The head encapsulation unit does not require a fitting process since the primary interface between the head encapsulation unit and the user is the user's neck. The head encapsulation unit has an expandable seal that a user can insert his or her head. The seal is then wrapped around and places light pressure against the person's neck so that virus contaminated air that does not enter the inner volume of the head encapsulation unit and infect the user. A cap at the upper portion of the unit and the seal aligns the head encapsulation unit on the user's head. This head encapsulation unit allows for both medical personnel and infected individuals to better and more easily communicate than mouth covered filters, goggles and face shield while offering substantially more mitigation from spreading an infection or being infected.
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments that comprise obtaining a data budget associated with a communication session for streaming video content over a communication network from a video content server, determining a first portion of the data budget that is associated with a first segment of the video content, and obtaining quality information associated with the video content from the video content server over the communication network. Further embodiments can include identifying a first group of tracks for the first segment, and determining a first target quality for the first segment based on the first portion of the data budget and the quality information. Abstract: A multi-story building (200) is described for manufactured homes (212) such as container homes. The building (200) includes a ground floor (202), a number of intermediate floors (204), and a top floor (206). The building (200) includes a throughway (208) on the ground floor (202) that allows passage of a transportation vehicle (210) such as a flatbed truck carrying a manufactured home (212). The transportation vehicle (210) can use the throughway (208) to position the manufactured home (212) in alignment with a hoistway (214). A hoist mounted on the roof (216) can then be used to hoist the home (212) to a desired floor (204 or 206).

Abstract: The disclosed firing assembly for use in a firearm according to various aspects of the present technology may comprise a hammer configured to pivot between a cocked position and a firing position. The firing assembly may also comprise a hammer release assembly configured to releasably retain the hammer rearwardly in the cocked position. The hammer release assembly may comprise a housing axially connected to the firearm and a spring-loaded disconnector. In addition, the firing assembly may comprise a biasing component configured to bias the hammer and housing forwardly and upwardly, respectively. The firing assembly may further comprise a trigger assembly connected to the hammer release assembly via a trigger bar and configured to controllably operate the hammer release assembly.
Abstract: An elastic wave device in which a recess is provided on an upper side of a support, a piezoelectric thin film covers the recess, and an IDT electrode is provided on an upper surface of the piezoelectric thin film. A plate wave of an S0 mode or SH0 mode is used. A plurality of grooves are provided in the upper surface or lower surface of the piezoelectric thin film at a portion of the piezoelectric thin film that is positioned on a hollow section.
Abstract: There is provided a cobalt-based alloy product comprising: in mass %, 0.08-0.25% C; 0.1% or less B; 10-30% Cr; 5% or less Fe and 30% or less Ni, the total amount of Fe and Ni being 30% or less; W and/or Mo, the total amount of W and Mo being 5-12%; at least one of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta, the total amount of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta being 0.5-2%; 0.5% or less Si; 0.5% or less Mn; 0.003-0.04% N; and the balance being Co and impurities. The product is a polycrystalline body of matrix phase crystal grains. In the matrix phase crystal grains, post-segregation cells with an average size of 0.13-2 ?m are formed, wherein components constituting an MC type carbide phase comprising Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and/or Ta are segregated along boundary regions of the post-segregation cells.
