Patent number: 11809417Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium has instructions executed by a processor to receive from a network connection different sources of unstructured data. An entity is formed by combining one or more sources of the unstructured data, where the entity has relational data attributes. A representation for the entity is created, where the representation includes embeddings that are numeric vectors computed using machine learning embedding models, including trunk models, where a trunk model is a machine learning model trained on data in a self-supervised manner. An enrichment model is created to predict a property of the entity. A query is processed to produce a query result, where the query is applied to one or more of the entity, the embeddings, the machine learning embedding models, and the enrichment model.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2021Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: Graft, Inc.Inventors: Adam Oliner, Maria Kazandjieva, Eric Schkufza, Mher Hakobyan, Irina Calciu, Brian Calvert

Patent number: 11803590Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may initiate audible play back of a book in response to an instruction from a user. While the book is being audibly played back, the computing device may determine (e.g., in the background) that a content of a recently played back portion of the book matches one or more interests associated with a user, initiate a search, and receive search results. The computing device may re-rank the search results based on the user's interests, pause play back of the book, and audibly read out the re-ranked search results. If the user asks a question, the computing device may pause play back of the book, perform an additional search, and read out loud the additional search results. The computing device may resume the audible play back of the book after the user provides a resume play back instruction.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2018Date of Patent: October 31, 2023Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Arockiaraj Durairaj, Chetan Somaiah

Patent number: 11775602Abstract: Advances in technology and the availability of low cost sensors have led to an unprecedented growth in the volume of spatial data. Unfortunately, the time required to evaluate even simple spatial queries over large data sets greatly hampers the ability to interactively explore these data sets and extract actionable insights. While modern hardware (such as Graphics Processing Units or GPUs) are increasingly being used to speed up spatial queries, existing solutions have two important drawbacks: they are often tightly coupled to the specific query types they target, making it hard to adapt them for other queries; and since their design is based on CPU-based approaches, it can be difficult to effectively utilize all the benefits provided by the said hardware. To overcome these issues, spatial data are represented as geometric objects and a set of composable operators that operate over these objects are defined.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: New York UniversityInventors: Harish Doraiswamy, Juliana Freire

Patent number: 11775603Abstract: A source system receives an indication to suppress a listing associated with an entity, wherein the indication is based at least in part on a confidence score from the source system indicating that the listing is a duplicate of a representative listing. A list of a provider systems that provide search results including the listing associated with the entity is identified. A first provider system is searched for a first listing matching the listing associated with the entity. The source system receives from the first provider system, a provider-supplied external identifier associated with the first listing. A request to suppress is transmitted to the first listing from a search result generated in response to a search request submitted via the first provider system.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: Yext, Inc.Inventors: Howard C. Patent number: 11762821Abstract: The present disclosure describes a service which provides primary in-line deduplication. A streaming application program interface (API) may allow for streaming records into a storage system with high throughput and low latency. As part of this process, the API allows user to add identifiers as a field used for data deduplication. The deduplication service keeps a moving window of the identifiers in memory and does in-line deduplication by quickly determining whether data is a duplicate. Keeping only deduplication keys in memory reduces the cost of running the service. Moreover, the real-time nature of the moving window approach allows for storing deduplication information alongside the data and accessing it immediately on read. In this regard, read after write consistency is supported, and costs are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2022Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Pavlo Padinker, Pavan Edara, Bigang Li

Patent number: 11693876Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for efficient shared bulk loading into optimized storage. One example method includes identifying a data set on a client to load to a server. Load steps that can be performed either on the client or the server are identified. Values for load factors are determined. Load rules are determined that are based on load factors and are for determining processing locations for the load steps. A processing location of either the client or the server is determined for each load step, based on the load rules. Load steps that have a processing location of the client are executed on the data set, on the client. The data set is transferred from the client to the server, over a network. Load steps that have a processing location of the server are executed on the data set, at the server.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2020Date of Patent: July 4, 2023Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Stefan Noll, Jens Teubner, Norman May, Alexander Boehm
