Abstract: An appliance includes a driver to drive a load, the load requiring AC power or DC power. A power supply receives one of external AC power, back-up AC power and back-up DC power and outputs at least one of AC power or DC power to the load. An operation mode of the home appliance is one of normal operation when receiving external AC power, normal operation when receiving one of back-up AC power and back-up DC power during a power interruption, and a power save mode when receiving one of back-up AC power and back-up DC power during the power interruption. The power supplies a first power level when there is no power interruption, a second power level when there is power interruption and a third power level when there is power interruption and the power save mode is selected, where the second power level is between the first power level and the third power level. The power save mode is automatically selected when the second power level falls below a reference power level.

  • Patent number: 10177690
Abstract: A device and method of producing electrical energy by gravitomagnetic induction utilizing Nano-features fabricated on an object surface of an object is presented. The Nano-features may include Nano-bumps and Nano-pits. One device version includes a computer hard disk, a piezoelectric glide head and/or a GMR read head, a typical hard drive's electronics, wherein defects are fabricated on the disk using a Focused Ion Beam (FIB) by depositing requisite number of nanobumps of specified height, and etching equal number of nanopits of specified depth a few mils or mm apart on a pre-decided radius. By spinning the nano-features disk one produces an associated magnetic force utilizing a GMR read head for producing power by the presence or the absence of matter on an object that is in motion relative to the GMR read head.

  • Patent number: 10171075
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for biasing a high speed and high voltage driver using only low voltage transistors are described. The apparatus and method are adapted to control biasing voltages to the low voltage transistors such as not to exceed operating voltages of the low voltage transistors while allowing for DC to high speed operation of the driver at high voltage. A stackable and modular architecture of the driver and biasing stages is provided which can grow with a higher voltage requirement of the driver. Capacitive voltage division is used for high speed bias voltage regulation during transient phases of the driver, and resistive voltage division is used to provide bias voltage at steady state. A simpler open-drain configuration is also presented which can be used in pull-up or pull-down modes.
