  • Patent number: 11788294
Abstract: A vibration and sound deadening treatment applied to the exterior of downspouts or other gutter pieces which quiets any sound generated when water or other weather contacts the downspout. When placed on the exterior of the downspout, especially near turns in the spout, sound generated by rain and water moving through the downspout is dampened by reducing or removing completely the vibrations generated by the rain and water. This prevents the need to place anything inside of the downspout that may wind up clogging the spout and drain.

  • Patent number: 11788301
Abstract: A plank and plank system for covering a wall or other surface is provided. Each longitudinally extending plank comprises a generally planar front façade and a back member. The back member comprises multiple plateaus interspersed with channels. Each plateau provides a flat surface that will be adjacent to the wall/surface when the plank is installed and onto which, optionally, a strip of pressure sensitive adhesive tape may be applied. The channels provide a predetermined location and predetermined holding capacity to regulate the location and amount of construction adhesive to be applied by a user. In an aspect of the invention, the channels also provide a degree of flexibility that allows the plank to adhere securely to the wall and that allows the depth of the plank to be greater than conventional wood wall covering panels.

  • Patent number: 11781614
Abstract: Described is a system for transmitting a flexural wave acting on one structure to another structure. In one example, a system includes a first structure having a first property and a first end and a second structure having a second property and a second end connected to the first end of the first structure. The first property is different from the second property and may be related to the material and/or geometric properties of the first and second structures. A mechanical resonator is connected to the first structure at a distance from the first end of about a quarter-wavelength of the frequency of a flexural wave acting on the first structure. The mechanical resonator matches a first mechanical impedance of the first structure to a second mechanical impedance of the second structure to allow high transmission of the flexural wave acting on the first structure to the second structure.

  • Patent number: 11773582
Abstract: An adjustable hangar for attaching an elongate beam to a structural building member includes a lower module and an upper module that are engaged with one another in a vertically reciprocal manner. The lower module includes a pair of parallel side panels spaced apart from one another and a lower beam support web. The upper module includes a top panel opposite the support web and a pair of opposite side members. The upper module further includes an upper support flange substantially parallel to the support web. In one embodiment, the upper module side members engage with the lower module in a vertically slidable relationship and define a beam receipt channel therebetween. When a beam is installed in the receipt channel, the upper and lower modules are adjusted vertically to trap the beam between the upper panel and support web with the beam circumscribed by the hanger.
