Abstract: An impulse damper device, which is specifically provided for the construction or the dismantling of tall, slim constructions, in particular towers and preferably towers of wind turbines, in order to minimize or eliminate undesired vibration states, which often occur during the construction or taking apart and lead to large increases in the vibration amplitudes of the vibration system. The impulse tuned mass dampers are preferably provided for temporary mobile use, but, in principle, are also suitable for permanent use.

Abstract: An alignment tool and method that is easy to use during the installation of a base of a commercial storage rack over bolts extending up from a warehouse floor. The alignment tool comprises a cylindrical body having a first conically shaped upper end and a second lower end having a bolt receiving hollow opening therein. The opening extends up into said cylindrical body along a longitudinal axis of the body. The method includes placing the opening down over the bolts, with the conical top facing up, to protect the bolts and align the base as it is lowered over the bolts. The alignment tool can be easily removed, prior to bolting the base to the floor, such as with a removal tool through a hole in the alignment tool.
Abstract: The innovation relates to a pool covering system that is usable as a flooring surface. The pool covering system includes brackets that support beams spanning the pool opening. The beams provide structural support to cross members and flooring placed on top of the beams. The pool covering system does not require significant drainage of the pool and does not damage the pool structure during installation and use.

Abstract: A framing accessory includes a bead and a backing strip. The bead may comprise a first leg, a second leg, and a lip. The second leg may comprise a plurality of openings. Abstract: A structural member section is provided that may be comprised of horizontal top and bottom flange elements interconnected by one or more vertical web member. The top flange of the member is serrated such that a series of serrations protrude horizontally in at least one direction from a top of the one or more vertical web member or are cut-out from the flange of a rolled shape. In one embodiment, the serrated top flange and at least a portion of the web member are intended to be encased by a horizontal concrete slab or slab-on-deck assembly. The slab material is capable of encasing all exposed surfaces of and curing around each serration to transfer horizontal shear forces between the serrated top flange and the slab material such that the member and slab behave compositely without needing additional reinforcing located within the voids between serrations.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a duct support assembly. The duct support assembly can include a frame structure and a duct support. The duct support can be configured to be installed in a floor assembly between a first beam portion of a first wall frame and a second beam portion of a second wall frame and to provide a duct exit from the frame structure. The duct support can be configured to transfer a tension and/or compression load. Also disclosed herein are embodiments of a method of using a duct support to provide a duct exit from a frame structure. The method can include positioning the duct support in a floor assembly between a first beam portion of a first wall frame and a second beam portion of a second wall frame.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a three-dimensional lightweight steel framing system formed by bi-directional continuous double beams. The three-dimensional lightweight steel framing system comprises beams, purlins, columns, wall bodies, floor slabs and lateral resistant mechanism comprises of diagonal support or bracing, wherein the beams are continuous double beams, and the continuous double beams are formed by combination of identical or different continuous single beams, and the continuous single beams are respectively arranged at the both sides of the columns, and the single beams are kept continuous at the junctions with the columns. The three-dimensional lightweight steel framing system simplifies the production of the lightweight steel member, and simplifies the on-site assembly by using bolts and nuts.

Abstract: A system and method for managing one or more utility connections and utility lines (electrical, water, sewer, data, etc.) associated with a retractable building that may generally translate from a predominantly above grade position to a predominantly below grade position, and back again, is provided. The system includes a cable carrier with a fixed end configured with a first manifold bracket to receive the utility lines from the utility providers, and a movable end configured with a second manifold bracket to connect the utility lines to the building. During use, as the building is lowered underground, the system provides continual and uninterrupted utility connections between the utility providers and the building.

Each tile is generally rectangular in shape and has a first edge, and a second edge, the second edge being generally opposite the first edge. Each elongate support has an attachment portion and a support portion. Abstract: An anchoring system for anchoring curtainwall units may include an anchor base structure to be attached to the floor slab, a vertical anchor structure and a horizontal anchor structure. The vertical anchor structure may be connected to a lower portion of the upper row curtainwall unit and bear a load of the upper row curtainwall unit on the anchor base structure, thereby fixing a distance between the floor slab and the lower portion of the upper row curtainwall unit while allowing horizontal motion. The horizontal anchor structure may be configured to be connected to an upper portion of the lower row curtainwall unit, and to use the anchor base structure to secure the upper portion of the lower row curtainwall unit against horizontal motion while allowing vertical motion.

The vertical tubular bar defines a passage therethrough in communication with the air cavity through air cavity vents and defines passage holes aligned the side panel holes. Air circulates from the air cavity to the air space through the air cavity vents, the passage holes, the side panel holes and external air vents.
