Abstract: A comprehensive dry flood proofing solution to mitigate inland flooding risk for existing or new homes and small buildings. This family of integrated systems of the present disclosure each leverage the building's structure to offer practical and affordable flood protection for those buildings constructed with slab-on-grade foundations. This family of solutions includes pluggable weep holes, entry door/garage door/window protectors, wall appurtenances and penetration protection, house wrap and debris barrier system for wall protection and sewage anti-backflow protection. The components of the solution are reusable, easy to deploy, and do not detract from the building's permanent appearance. Furthermore, the solution allows for ingress/egress during flood events and can protect the building from standing water incursion up to 24? above slab elevation.

Abstract: A plank and plank system for covering a wall or other surface is provided. Each longitudinally extending plank comprises a generally planar front façade and a back member. The back member comprises multiple plateaus interspersed with channels. Each plateau provides a flat surface that will be adjacent to the wall/surface when the plank is installed and onto which, optionally, a strip of pressure sensitive adhesive tape may be applied. The channels provide a predetermined location and predetermined holding capacity to regulate the location and amount of construction adhesive to be applied by a user. In an aspect of the invention, the channels also provide a degree of flexibility that allows the plank to adhere securely to the wall and that allows the depth of the plank to be greater than conventional wood wall covering panels.
Abstract: A vibration and sound deadening treatment applied to the exterior of downspouts or other gutter pieces which quiets any sound generated when water or other weather contacts the downspout. When placed on the exterior of the downspout, especially near turns in the spout, sound generated by rain and water moving through the downspout is dampened by reducing or removing completely the vibrations generated by the rain and water. This prevents the need to place anything inside of the downspout that may wind up clogging the spout and drain.
Abstract: A gutter debris preclusion device for use with a gutter attached to a building, comprising a support structure being substantially rigid and having a recess with a plurality of apertures and a plurality of ribs; a screen having a plurality of apertures and being at least partially disposed on the ribs of the support structure; and, wherein a cross-sectional profile of the screen has an arc shape.
Abstract: A frame system for securing a glazing unit to a window portal includes an elongated primary mount extrusion, an elongated mount stop extrusion, an elongated first gasket, an elongated second gasket and a structural sealant. The primary mount extrusion is secured to the window portal. A mount stop extrusion engages the primary mount extrusion with a pair of ratcheting members. The first gasket and the second gasket define a passage therebetween and the passage has a width so that the glazing unit fits therein. A structural sealant is disposed so as to affix the glazing unit to an inner upper surface of the primary mount extrusion.
Abstract: There is presented a tower element, such as a tower element for a tower for a wind turbine generator, said tower element comprising a hollow, tubular element, a flange on an inside surface of the hollow, tubular shell, a unit comprising a platform and a fixation element, such as a plurality of fixation elements, attached to the platform, wherein the unit is arranged with respect to the flange, so that the flange prevents movement of the platform in both directions along an axis being parallel with an axis of the tubular element, and movement of the platform is allowed in at least one direction along an axis being orthogonal to the axis of the tubular element. There is furthermore presented a tower, a wind turbine generator and a method for providing a tower element.

Abstract: Described is a system for transmitting a flexural wave acting on one structure to another structure. In one example, a system includes a first structure having a first property and a first end and a second structure having a second property and a second end connected to the first end of the first structure. The first property is different from the second property and may be related to the material and/or geometric properties of the first and second structures. A mechanical resonator is connected to the first structure at a distance from the first end of about a quarter-wavelength of the frequency of a flexural wave acting on the first structure. The mechanical resonator matches a first mechanical impedance of the first structure to a second mechanical impedance of the second structure to allow high transmission of the flexural wave acting on the first structure to the second structure.

Abstract: An adjustable hangar for attaching an elongate beam to a structural building member includes a lower module and an upper module that are engaged with one another in a vertically reciprocal manner. The lower module includes a pair of parallel side panels spaced apart from one another and a lower beam support web. The upper module includes a top panel opposite the support web and a pair of opposite side members. The upper module further includes an upper support flange substantially parallel to the support web. In one embodiment, the upper module side members engage with the lower module in a vertically slidable relationship and define a beam receipt channel therebetween. When a beam is installed in the receipt channel, the upper and lower modules are adjusted vertically to trap the beam between the upper panel and support web with the beam circumscribed by the hanger.

Abstract: A support stand is used for removing, repairing, storing, and reattaching a feeder house from an agricultural combine. The stand is adapted to be raised and lowered with a forklift to position the stand adjacent to the feeder house during removal and to position the feeder house on the combine during reattachment. The stand includes a base, the base having a flat lower surface, the base being adapted to receive a lifting mechanism. An upright frame is mounted at a first end of the base, the upright frame being adapted to selectively attach to a feeder house on a combine when raised by the forklift into alignment with the feeder house.
Abstract: A system and method for installing the system of sheathing panels having building information applied to the individual sheets of sheathing prior to installation. Application of the building information is performed by printing the information directly on each sheet to form a rasterbated image of the building plan. The rasterbated image is then assembled as the surface of a building to provide a building plan integrated into the surface of the building. The information provided by the building plan can include, but is not limited to, plumbing information, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning information, electrical information, and framing information, including but not limited to information regarding the composition of walls, and placement, size and configuration of windows and doors.
Abstract: An inflatable structure has a top wall, a bottom wall vertically spaced from the top wall, and a vertical baffle having a top edge connected to the top wall, and a bottom edge connected to the bottom wall. A pair of top diagonal support baffles connect the vertical baffle to the top wall, each of the pair of top diagonal support baffles being connected to the top wall on opposite sides of a top edge of the vertical baffle, and spaced a distance from the top edge of the vertical baffle. A pair of bottom diagonal support baffles further connect the vertical baffle to the bottom wall, each of the pair of bottom diagonal support baffles being connected to the bottom wall on opposite sides of bottom edge of the vertical baffle, and spaced a distance from the bottom edge of the vertical baffle.
