Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for providing a customized fitting room environment. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include identifying a garment being brought into a fitting room, and determining a garment type of the garment. The method may further include adjusting one or more environmental settings of the fitting room based on the garment type. Additional aspects of the present disclosure include further adjusting environmental settings based on various combinations of user data and a desired use case of the garment specified by the individual.

Abstract: A method, system, and article of manufacture for recommending items for a room. An image of a room is received, a box image is fitted to the image of the room. Information is extracted from the fitted box image and is used for recommending items for the room. The image is a color image and extracting information is done by extracting color histograms from the fitted box image. The color histograms are used to determine items that match the color scheme of the room, the lighting of the room, and/or the decorating style of the room.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for a catalog driven user experience. In use, one or more products to present utilizing at least one user interface are identified, the one or more products being defined in at least one product catalog including a plurality of products associated with at least one service provider. Additionally, user experience criteria information associated with the one or more products is received, the user experience criteria information including at least one definition of how the one or more products are to be presented utilizing the at least one user interface, the at least one definition of how the one or more products are to be presented utilizing the at least one user interface being one of a plurality of dynamically selectable definitions defined in the at least one product catalog and being associated with at least one of a plurality of usability properties.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for assisting a customer with purchasing a merchandise item in a store. Assisting the customer may include determining a location of a customer (i.e., customer device) in the store, identifying merchandise items located adjacent to the customer, receiving selection of a merchandise item for purchase from the identified merchandise items, receiving payment authorization information for the purchase, and initiating delivery of the merchandise item to the customer. Additionally, systems and methods are provided for inventory management in a store. Consistent with certain embodiments, computer-implemented systems and methods are provided for selecting a sensor, receiving a sensor identifier and a position of the sensor, receiving merchandise identifiers for merchandise items located near the sensor, and storing the merchandise identifiers in association with the sensor identifier.

Abstract: A device receives third-party boycott data associated with a merchant, and receives customer preference data associated with a customer of the merchant. The device processes the third-party boycott data and the customer preference data, with a machine learning model, to identify a boycott of the merchant that is predicted to be of interest to the customer. The device provides, to a user device of the customer, information identifying the boycott of the merchant and information that solicits the customer to indicate whether the customer desires to join the boycott, and receives, from the user device, information indicating that the customer desires to join the boycott. The device causes a transaction account associated with the customer to be restricted from a transaction with the merchant when the information indicates that the customer desires to join the boycott.

Abstract: A transcoding service is described that is capable of utilizing the excess capacity of the computing resources of a service provider. The customer of the transcoding service can submit a bid price for completing the transcodes. As long as the specified price exceeds the fluctuating price of the unused resource instances, the transcoding service will execute the job on the unused instance(s). If the price of the unused resource instances exceeds the customer's bid, the transcoding process stops. The transcoding service may pause the transcoding when the dynamically fluctuating price of the unused resource exceeds the customer's bid and then resume when the price falls back down. Users can specify constraints for transcoding, such as timeframes during which the transcode must be completed, a total price for completing transcoding or priorities of the media files. The system can automatically optimize the utilization of the resource instances according to the constraints.

Abstract: A method of design an article of furniture by consumer includes the steps of: providing a furniture customizing platform that the consumer is able to access the furniture customizing platform via an electronic device through Internet, selecting different barebone components to customize a furniture product on the furniture customizing platform; selecting different decorative elements for the furniture product, and generating a preview of a virtual furniture product with the selected decorative element. The decorative elements are interchangeably and selectively added-on to the furniture product to change an overall ornament design of the furniture product without disassembling the furniture product. Therefore, the customer is able to immediately change ornamental design of the furniture product by the decorative element without affecting the main structure of the furniture product.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes extracting a document object model (DOM) for a content page. The DOM comprises a hierarchical tree-based data structure. The method also includes traversing the DOM to identify, in the content page, candidate features of a product page. The method further includes for each of the candidate features, determine candidate feature attributes based on a respective context of the candidate feature in the DOM. The method additionally includes determining whether the content page qualifies as a product page based on whether the candidate features fulfill a required set of characteristics for a product page.

Abstract: A system and method for registering a user with a subscription service for a printer is described. A network-enabled printer can determine when a mobile computing device is brought into a sufficient proximity of the network-enabled printer. The network-enabled printer can receive account information for a user of the mobile computing device when the mobile computing device is brought into the sufficient proximity and transmit the account information to a remote provider in order to register the network-enabled printer and the user with the subscription service.

Abstract: A system that creates an environment (e.g., ecosystem) for using, transmitting, and storing data from a CEW and other equipment. The information from a CEW includes a log maintained by the CEW. The log may include information related to the operation, maintenance, software, and deployment units used by the CEW. The information may be used alone or in combination with other information received and stored by an evidence management system for managing inventory, generating use-of-force reports, incident reports, and/or providing information related to equipment, such as a CEW, to the supplier of the equipment. Sources of information provided to an evidence management system includes equipment suppliers, CEWs, other cooperating equipment, records management systems of an agency, a dispatch system of an agency, and third parties. A CEW or other equipment may also receive information for storing in the log.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of payment. The method includes receiving, via a digital communication network, guest data corresponding to a transaction. The method also includes securely storing guest identifying information in a guest database and determining, via one or more processors, a guest transaction total based on the number of prior transactions associated with the guest identifying information. The method also includes comparing, via the one or more processors, the guest transaction total to a predetermined threshold number of transactions and determining, via the one or more processors, that the guest transaction total is greater than the predetermined threshold number of transactions. Finally, the method includes, in response to the determination that the guest transaction total is greater than the predetermined number threshold number of transactions, removing a guest transaction option.

Abstract: In some examples, a service may determine delivery timings based on a delivery location and at least one local condition, such as traffic. The system includes one or more buyer devices and a plurality of courier devices that communicate with a service computing device over a network. The buyer device and the courier devices provide geographic location information to the service, such as based on input from respective GPS receivers. The service may determine local traffic information based on tracking the courier movement, and may determine predicted travel times from the merchant pickup location to the delivery location, and from the buyer order location to the delivery location. Based on the predicted travel times and a preparation time for an ordered item, the service may manage timing for preparation and delivery of an item so that the courier's arrival at the delivery location approximately coincides with buyer's arrival.

Abstract: A social gifting system is described herein that provides digital, personalized gifts that are both temporally and spatially relevant to a gift recipient. The giver can use a mobile application to select a friend, select a gift, and send the gift electronically to the recipient. The recipient can use a mobile computing device to receive the gift, provide a code or other redemption information to a vendor, and then receive the gift. The system provides new ways to make these types of digital gifts easier to redeem through point of sale integration with various common vendor systems. The social gifting system provides a proprietary process flow between the user and merchant staff that is set up for increased ease of use, speed, and simplicity. The social gifting system allows users to send highly personalized gifts in any form, and to bring the price point down.

Abstract: A method for guiding a user of an electric vehicle to a charging facility includes: searching for charging facilities existing within a predetermined distance from the current position of the electric vehicle; when a high-output charging facility and a low-output charging facility in a predetermined positional relationship with the high-output charging facility are searched, calculating the estimated value of a remaining charged capacity of a battery of the electric vehicle; calculating the estimated value of a charging time if charging the battery of the electric vehicle from the estimated value of the remaining charged capacity of the battery to a predetermined charged capacity at each of the searched charging facilities; and when the difference between the estimated value of the charging times at the high-output charging facility and the low-output charging facility is a predetermined value or less, presenting the low-output charging facility to the user of the electric vehicle.

Abstract: A virtual browsing experience may be implemented that allows a user to move a mobile device within a physical environment in order to control browser navigation to different items on an associated display. The virtual browsing experience improves the user's ability to recall where previously-viewed items are located in the virtual browsing environment. In some embodiments, a mobile device may determine its position and/or orientation in a physical environment, and when movement of the mobile device is detected, a user interface on an associated display may digitally navigate through multiple items according to the position and/or orientation of the mobile device. The position and orientation of the mobile device may be determined from position information or data obtained by a sensor device of the mobile device, and appropriate subsets of items can be determined for display based on detected movement of the mobile device.

The collections may be presented to a customer in a display also rendering the performance or in a separate display. The customer may select the collections and/or items therein for performing an action with the item, such as, for example purchasing the item.

Abstract: Interactive parking facilities may include one or more computer displays or other output devices for providing information to occupants of vehicles arriving at the parking facilities, and for providing information to workers tasked with delivering items to such occupants. A vehicle and/or an occupant may be identified at a parking space, and an ordered item associated with the vehicle or the occupant may then be placed in a staging area. Instructions to deliver the item from the staging area to the vehicle may be displayed to a worker, and information regarding the pending arrival of the item may be displayed to the occupant, on one or more computer displays. Thus, the fulfillment of an order may be triggered upon detecting the arrival of the vehicle at a parking space, and the delivery of the one or more items to the vehicle may be guided based on such information.
