Abstract: The present disclosure describes an interactive menu display system providing retail establishments with a flexible electronic menu display that enables presentation of a large number of menu items by incorporating, among other things, a menu-item scrolling feature. The display system can be configured to subdivide a display system to include fields, such as physical portions of a display unit, or individual display units, that are designated for predetermined categories of menu items, and within those fields, the menu items may be sequentially displayed, such as in a scrolling, paging, or other step-wise fashion. The display system can also include a menu configuration user interface designed for the owner or manager of the retail establishment to conveniently and efficiently update menu content, layout, and other configuration settings. The display system can be configured to update the menu display in real-time based on updates to menu content and settings.

Abstract: A method, system, and article of manufacture for recommending items for a room. An image of a room is received, a box image is fitted to the image of the room. Information is extracted from the fitted box image and is used for recommending items for the room. The image is a color image and extracting information is done by extracting color histograms from the fitted box image. The color histograms are used to determine items that match the color scheme of the room, the lighting of the room, and/or the decorating style of the room.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for providing an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) on an interactive mirror display responsive to user interest. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include identifying an item of interest to an individual in a retail store and accessing detailed product information for the item from a product database. The method may further include generating the interactive GUI using the detailed product information and causing the interactive GUI to be presented to the individual on the interactive mirror display.

Abstract: A method of providing network access includes entering network access information into a merchant device at a merchant location. The information relates to a request from a customer to obtain network access. The method also includes causing the information to be transmitted to a host computer system from the merchant device, receiving a payment from the customer, receiving activation confirmation from the host computer system at the merchant device, and providing a presentation instrument to the customer. The presentation instrument may be used by the customer to obtain network access. The method further includes using the presentation instrument to settle a transaction with the customer for merchandise.

Abstract: Items, such as produce items, may be placed in containers, imaged, weighed, and stored for subsequent retrieval. Images that depict the items and attributes associated with the items may be presented to customers via an interface. Upon receiving an indication that a customer has purchased one or more items via the interface, a container that includes the one or more items is retrieved. The one or more items are removed from the container and packaged for delivery to the customer. The resulting empty container is refilled with new items, which are then imaged, weighed, and stored.

Abstract: A presentation device carries out a product presentation of a product. The presentation device includes a support element which is designed for placing on the head of a user, on which two display units are situated for stereoscopically displaying graphics data in front of the eyes of the user. The user is to be able to view the product at home without computer hardware specially purchased by him/her. For this purpose, the presentation device includes a memory for storing model data of a digital representation of the product, a simulation unit designed for simulating a relative position of the user with respect to the representation, and a rendering unit designed for generating the graphics data. The rendering unit is designed to display a stereoscopic view aimed at the representation from the simulated relative position, by the graphics data.

Abstract: Various examples of methods and systems for providing reminders for products in proximity are described. In one implementation, a method may receive information related to a list of one or more items available for sale at a physical store, wherein the list is associated with a user. The method may also receive information related to a location of a user device associated with the user. Based at least in part on a distance between the user device and at least one item on the list of one or more items, the method may further providing an indication to the user device that the user device is proximate the at least one item on the list of one or more items.

Abstract: One example embodiment relates to a method that comprises receiving marketplace listing information from a user, the marketplace listing information including a listing title, and accessing a plurality of character patterns for attracting attention to marketplace listings. The method includes analyzing, using one or more processors, the listing title to identify at least one of the plurality of character patterns in the listing title. A request for a new listing title is generated based on identifying at least one of the plurality of character patterns in the listing title.

Abstract: An intelligent shopping guiding system comprising a guide robot and a workstation computer is disclosed. The guide robot is coupled to the workstation computer, preferably over a wireless system and information between the guide robot and the workstation computer is transferred via wireless communication. As the front-end equipment of the shopping guiding system, the guide robot interacts with the customer and provides assistance and guidance to the customer to enhance their shopping experience. As the back-end equipment of the shopping guiding system, the workstation computer builds, stores, and maintains a customized message associated with a customer's unique ID number. The unique ID number is associated with the customer's personal characteristics such as, for example, biometric information, physiological, or other information suitable for identifying the customer.

Abstract: In embodiments of identifying the end of an on-line cart session, an analytics application captures user click inputs on pages of a Web site, where the user click inputs include adding one or more items for purchase to an on-line cart associated with the Web site. The analytics application then utilizes a predictive model, as well as user and session features of the on-line cart session, to predict whether a previous user click input is the last user click input associated with the on-line cart session, indicating an end of the session. A notification can then be provided that the on-line cart session has ended based on the prediction of the last user click input associated with the on-line cart session. The analytics application or the marketer can then retarget a user associated with the on-line cart session, such as with a message pertaining to the on-line cart session.

Abstract: A computerized method of detecting product description inconsistencies, comprising receiving from a seller a product description comprising one or more attributes of a product offered for sale on an online marketplace arena, extracting automatically the one or more attributes by analyzing the product description using one or more language analysis tool, analyzing automatically the one or more attributes compared to a plurality of attributes of one or more other products of a same class as the product to detect one or more inconsistencies of the product description with respect to the one or more attributes and outputting the at least one inconsistency.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for presenting information related to a product offered for sale in response to movement of the product. An example method includes receiving a movement indicator from a tag associated with the product. The movement indicator indicates movement of the product. The movement indicator includes an identifier. The method further includes identifying, in a tag data structure, a presentation device associated with the identifier, and causing information about the product to be displayed at a presentation device located proximate to the tag, whereby the consumer is able to perceive the information about the product.

Abstract: A computer implemented system for e-commerce includes a server hosting a system management domain, and a number of domains. A first domain provides a first website displaying a plurality of products for purchase using a first shopping cart provided by the system management domain. A second domain provides a second website displaying a plurality of products for purchase using a second shopping cart provided by the system management domain. The system management domain may display on the first website a link pointing to a product displayed by the second website when certain conditions exist. When the link is followed to the second website, the first shopping cart is used for purchases at the second website.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for providing a centralized customer order processing system. A customer order entry may be received by a central server. The customer order entry may be routed to a local store server at an identified store location. Upon arrival at the identified store location, a mobile device of the customer may detect a proximity signal located at the identified store location, and a mobile application may be invoked on the mobile device. An order activation signal may be transmitted to a server, the order activation signal indicating customer arrival at the identified store location. The customer order entry may be activated at the local store server. The customer may arrive at the identified store location and pick up their order. Methods and apparatus are also disclosed for implementing the centralized customer order processing system on a mobile device.

Abstract: A kiosk apparatus, method and system of providing and distributing a plurality of items to one or more consumers is provided. Each kiosk in a plurality of kiosks may be configured to communicate with a kiosk management system to provide inventory data, which is provided to consumers such that one or more requested items may be reserved in a transaction. The kiosk may be further configured to interact with the consumer to retrieve the reserved items, where the consumer may use a portable device to interact with the kiosk, or the consumer may be prompted by the kiosk to enter account information and/or a generated code associated with the transaction provided by the kiosk management system. Then, a payment process is initiated with the kiosk management system or other entity, and when the payment process is verified, release the requested items to the consumer.
