Abstract: A multiple position easel mat or frame for photographs and the like includes a frame portion having one or more openings and a pocket which receives photographs, pictorial or printed material having configurations generally corresponding to the size and shape of the openings in the frame and a support portion which includes a pair of flaps having interengaging tabs and slots. The flaps of the support portion are configured to support the frame in either a vertical or a horizontal orientation to accommodate the orientation of the photographs, pictorial or printed material.
Abstract: A display device for mounting to the front edge of a store shelf provides a sealed environment for display of an object. Preferably, the object is in a constructed craft item which may be assembled from a kit which is offered for sale and is located on the store shelf adjacent the display device. The displayed object serves as a promotional vehicle for the kit. The display device includes a bracket for mounting the display device to the shelf and a product display case mounted to the bracket. The product display case includes a shelf construction upon which the constructed object can be displayed and a protective dome surrounding the shelf construction. The shelf construction may have a friction fit with the protective dome and can include a forward wall adapted to support the object to be displayed.
Abstract: An extruded plastic label strip for shelf front mounting. The strip is formed of relatively rigid but flexible plastic material and has a clear front panel joined at a bottom edge to the bottom edge of a back panel structure to form a continuous, upwardly opening label pocket. An overlay panel is joined integrally with an upper edge of the front panel and extends downward over the front thereof to form a downwardly opening continuous channel for receiving thin temporary information slips to flag special items. A narrow margin of soft plastic material is co-extruded to a rearwardly facing surface of the overlay panel in a region thereof forming a gripping throat. Primary pricing and information labels are inserted in the upwardly opening label pocket, while special slips, calling attention to special sales, new product items, etc., can be temporarily slipped under the overlay panel in a highly visible display orientation.
Abstract: The calendar of the normally folded type is displayed in an unfolded position on a backboard upon which is pivoted a frame. The frame has upper and lower openings defined by stiles and crosspieces. The back of the frame has a recess sized to receive the calendar in its unfolded position. The openings in the frame permit viewing of the upper and lower calendar sheets when positioned therein. When the frame is closed against the backboard, the calendar is held in position with access to both the upper and lower calendar sheets. The frame is easily opened for adjusting of the calendar sheets.
Abstract: A sign is provided having a rear plate (2) having at least two printed messages (5,6) and a front plate (3) arranged movably in front of the rear plate (2). The front plate (3) is arranged such that in its starting position it covers all the messages (5,6) on the rear plate (2), and that, by movement, it may be caused to expose at least one of the messages (5,6).
Abstract: A mounting system for mounting a sign, such as a sheet or a panel to a shelf system having a pair of support posts and a shelf extending transverse to the support posts, includes a display portion having first and second generally parallel, spaced apart runners connected to one another by a pair of spaced apart connecting members defining a sign receiving region. The display portion includes at least one of a shelf mounting bracket receiving region, a wall surface mounting bracket receiving region and a wall top mounting bracket receiving region. The shelf mounting bracket receiving region includes a pivoting element for pivotally mounting the display portion to a shelf mounting bracket for pivoting the display portion between a first position and a second position. The display portion is maintained in the first position by releasable engagement of the display portion with the shelf mounting bracket.
Abstract: A cavity is formed in the floor of a building for receiving the floor type advertising apparatus. A lower holding layer of magnetic material having an opening formed therethrough is located and secured in the lower portion of the cavity. An upper holding layer of magnetic material having an opening formed therethrough is attached to the lower side of a transparent layer and both the transparent layer and the upper holding layer are located in the cavity to allow the magnetic lines of force from the holding layers to removably secure the transparent layer and the upper holding layer to the lower holding layer in the cavity. A support layer is secured to the floor of the cavity within the opening of the lower holding layer for supporting an advertising layer.
Abstract: A collapsible border assembly (1) for a picture, clip-frame, mirror, glass pane or other object (2), comprises a plurality of corner pieces (3), adapted for detachable engagement with corners of the object (2), and a number of elastic elements (4,5) interconnecting adjacent ones of the corner pieces (3). In use, the elastic elements (4,5) extend under tension between the corner pieces (3), around the periphery of the object (2), to thereby provide a border for the object (2) of frame-like appearance. Such border assemblies (1) may be stacked one above the other to provide a stepped frame appearance.
Abstract: An organizing and scheduling device allows convenient organization of the multitude of notes, reminders and appointment cards which accumulate, e.g. in a home, correlating each reminder with the corresponding date on a calendar. The device includes a calendar, a color coded scale displayed upon a front surface of the device, and a set of flexible, multi-pocketed sheets behind the calendar. The coded scale includes a plurality of boxes of different colors, each box adjacent a week on the calendar. Each pocketed sheet has a tab disposed on lower edge, each tab being of a color corresponding to one of the colored boxes and horizontally offset from adjacent tabs to avoid complete overlap. The calendar and pocketed sheets are releasably bound together, and may be mounted upon a surface, e.g. of a refrigerator.
Abstract: A new and improved wood frame construction in which the artwork may be end-loaded into a frame in which three of the four sides are permanently interconnected with the fourth side being removable to accommodate the loading of the artwork into the frame. In particular the new and improved frame construction has a very narrow front profile making the frame quite attractive and comparatively unique in its appearance.
