Abstract: Example embodiments relate to the display of operating status information in a remote desktop session. In example embodiments, a client transmits operating status information to a server via a remote desktop session established with the server. In response, the client may receive graphics information including displayed status information inserted by the server based on the operating status information. Finally, the client may output the graphics information on an available display. Other embodiments relate to a corresponding server and processing performed in the server.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display screen provides drawing directions to guide a user to create artwork on a physical medium. The electronic device displays a first drawing direction for drawing a portion of a subject on a physical medium, and prompts a user for a user input indicating completion of the first drawing direction by the user. Upon receiving the prompted user input, the electronic device displays a second drawing direction for drawing another portion of the subject on the physical medium. The subject may be based on a computer-animated movie title. The first drawing direction may include a representation of a virtual host, which is also based on a computer-animated character from a computer-animated movie title.

The system includes an information-link device, an information-providing terminal, and a user terminal, each connected to each other via a network, and wherein the information-link device includes a link-code-management part, and a link-information-extraction part, the link-code-management part issues link codes in response to an information provider request, with each of the link codes having a predetermined fixed format, associates each of the link codes with a URL or a file storage location, and manages the associated link code and the URL or the storage location, and the link-information-extraction part extracts the URL or the location of the data file that has been associated with the link code, based on the link code sent from the user terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for behavioral modeling based on content genre and utilizing results for content recommendation and other network handling and storage of the content. Viewing events with respect to a content item are aggregated. An affinity is calculated based on the viewing events. Additional viewing events occurring during the delivery of the content item and associated with other content items are also selected. A sampling bonus is added to the affinity if these additional viewing events have a duration below a threshold and the other content items share a same genre as the content item.

Abstract: Non-limiting examples herein relate to generation and presentation of data analytics that provide managers of digital content with audience and content insights in real-time. A representation of data analytics is generated and automatically surfaced for a user through a user interface of an application/service. One set of examples of the present disclosure relates to processing by one or more computing devices for a service that manages client data of the application/service. The service that manages the client data may interface with an exemplary service such as a digital presentation service to obtain the client data, aggregate the client data, analyze the client data and generate exemplary read ratio data analytics, among other executed processing operations. Further sets of examples relate to processing that occurs by a specific front-end application/service that may be configured to automatically surface a representation of the read ratio data analytics for one or more user accounts.

Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein provide hosted third-party application experiences within storage service viewers. Users can store a number of files having many different formats (AutoCAD files, word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentation files, and many files having unique formats) at a storage service. Users can view and edit the contents of a wide range of file formats by the use of a Web browser. The storage service can generate a display page that is configured to access viewing and editing tools from one or more remote services. The display page can also provide controls for the storage service, e.g., Dropbox controls, while concurrently providing the viewing and editing controls for select files. The viewing and editing tools can be provided by one or more remote services, such as a website managed by a third-party entity, such as Autodesk, Inc.

Abstract: A system and method for managing and displaying data messages includes a computing device configured to receive stream data, assign data messages of the stream data to one or more display columns of a graphical user interface, and display the data messages in the assigned columns. The stream data may be embodied as short data messages such as text messages having predetermined maximum character length. The data messages may be assigned to the display columns based on meta-data associated with the data messages such as the author of the data message, the source of the data message, and/or the type of the data message.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented to facilitate caching of programming from broadcast and/or content streaming services to a user device for local playback. In addition, metadata can be provided to guide the user in selecting, caching, or playing the cachable content. In some exemplary embodiments, a receiver or other user device can automatically select the programming to be cached based on a user's historical topic interest and listening history. In some exemplary embodiments, the metadata can also include DRM information that can limit the ability of a user to playback the content, so as to comply, if necessary, with operative legal requirements related to usage of the content.

The computer then automatically defines a favorites set, taking into account the system parameter and the requirement.

Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are disclosed for error correction in text input systems that use time-dependent button presses. A frequent error type in time-based text input is errors due to inaccurately timed button presses. The result of mistimed button presses is errant button press types within a button press type sequence. An error correction algorithm identifies possible alternative button press type sequences based on the number of button presses in the sequence. The algorithm converts the alternative button press type sequences to alternative character sequences using the received button press value sequence. The algorithm compares the alternative character sequences and the presumed word with a library of known words to determine the word most likely intended by a user.
