Abstract: An information processing device includes a touch panel that detects a first user input, a communication unit that communicates with a portable terminal which detects a second user input, a data obtaining unit that obtains content data including an operable object, a display output unit that outputs a content image which displays the object, and a control unit that controls an operation of the object displayed in the content image, wherein the control unit executes a first operation of the object if the first user input is detected by the touch panel, and executes a second operation of the object if the second user input is received from the portable terminal by the communication unit.

Abstract: Systems and methods for conducting an instant messaging communication session are disclosed. A method may include displaying an instant messaging user interface that includes a message composition region for composing an instant messaging communication. The method also includes receiving a selection of media for insertion into the instant messaging communication by receiving a reference to the media. The method may further include generating a link comprising an address of the selected media. The method also includes creating a selectable control with the link embedded therein in the user interface, and detecting selection of a selectable control. The method may further include displaying a video player region within the instant messaging user interface in response to the detected selection of the selectable control, and accessing a network element to play the media within a video player region in response to the detected selection of the selectable control.

Abstract: Described is a poll-based system that provides an on-line and mobile network of users and products, goods and services that are determined through polling each of the users. The system compares, in real-time, the current user's polling responses to identify which most similarly match the answered questions to that of the user. As the user progressively answers questions, the system updates the matching and presentation other users and of products, goods and services. Thus, as the user answers polling questions, the selected answers are compared against the selected descriptions of other products, goods and services, or general questions, to generate a likelihood of match between the users, and also each of the products, goods and services. The profiles of products, goods and services that have a likelihood of match within a predetermined threshold are then presented, including links within the profile for specific purchases.

Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) device can access a library of applications or user interfaces (UIs) designed to control a set of devices. The AR device can determine which UI to present based on detection of a device to be controlled near the AR device. For example, a user wearing an AR device may look at a thermostat placed on a wall and a UI to control the thermostat may be presented to the user. The determination that the user is looking at the thermostat may be made by correlating the gaze tracking information of the user-facing camera with the location of the thermostat in an image captured by a world-facing camera. Determination of the location of the thermostat in the image can be performed using image recognition technology. The UI can be selected based on a database record pairing the UI with the thermostat.

Abstract: An example information assessment system includes communication circuitry; storage; and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to control the information assessment system to at least receive, via the communication circuitry, content from multiple users relating to a particular topic; determine, for the content from each respective user, an orientation value reflecting a sentiment of the content; store, in the storage, the content from the multiple users in association with the orientation values; and in response to receiving a request for information about the particular topic, generate a visual map reflecting the orientation values associated with the content from the multiple users.

Abstract: A customizable web site access system is comprised of a software program incorporating both a composing portion and a performing portion. The composing portion of the software program is used to create a presentation. The presentation includes a list of URLs for display, a desired sequence of display of the URLs, and a duration of display of the URLs. The performing portion of the software program operates to load and display the presentation to a user of the web in an automatic slide show presentation.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed to provide host-independent resource monitoring for distributed networks. The method includes determining, from a set of jobs, one or more jobs to execute that monitor the status of resources within a distributed network. The method determines one or more environments in which to run the one or more jobs, and instantiates the one or more jobs with one or more environment variables for the determined one or more environments such that the one or more jobs are configured for operation in the determined one or more environments. The method accordingly displays, using a graphical user interface, a job environment matrix including a list of the set of jobs in conjunction with a running status of each of the jobs in each of one or more environments. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: There is provided a graphical user interface that displays information on a plurality of different types of content on a single screen. The graphical user interface includes an overview display area and a detail display area. The overview display area displays an overview of the information on the content in chronological order, based on time information for the plurality of the different types of content. The detail display area displays, in greater detail, the information on the content that corresponds to the time information that is selected in the overview display area. Scrolling the information that is displayed in the overview display area causes the information on the content that is displayed in the detail display area to be scrolled.

In some embodiments, a criterion may be received from a user of a publication system. A database associated with the publication system may be searched based on the criterion. Search results retrieved from the database may be displayed on at least one side of a 3-D interface object. At least one control may be displayed proximate to the three 3-D interface object. The control may be used to navigate the 3-D interface Object.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for displaying a map. The method provides a first display area to display a map, and a second display area to overlap a portion of the first display area to display (i) a field to receive a search parameter and (ii) a set of predicted locations to view on the map. The second display area is moveable over the first display area in order to decrease its size to allow a larger portion of the map to be displayed in the first display area, or to increase its size to allow a larger number of predicted locations to be displayed in the second display area. In some embodiments, the second display area overlaps a bottom portion of the first display area. In some embodiments, the method is implemented by a map application that executes on a mobile device. The set of predicted locations displayed in the second display area in some embodiments include addresses harvested from applications executing on the mobile device.

Abstract: A device receives provides content to a client device via a dual-panel user interface that includes a first panel and a second panel. The device receives, from the client device, information indicating a user interaction, and processes the information, with a first model, to determine a question based on the user interaction. The device utilizes natural language processing with the question to determine an intent of the question, and processes the intent of the question, with a second model, to map the intent of the question to a content answer to the question. The device adds additional user information, associated with a user of the client device, to the content answer to generate a personalized content response, and updates the first panel with the personalized content response to generate an updated first panel. The device provides the updated first panel, via the dual-panel user interface, to the client device.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a video and audio sentiment analysis system. The video and audio sentiment analysis system can capture video and audio of workflows while a game developer is working on a game development tool. The video and audio sentiment analysis system can use speech-to-text transcription to log requests and suggest help for a game developer. The video and audio sentiment analysis system can capture the recordings for a time period before the error occurs to provide the support team with a recording of the steps that led to the concern. The video and audio sentiment analysis system can package the video stream, transcription of audio, and user interface recordings to the development team such that the support system can replay the scenario of the user to get a full picture of the user's actions and concerns.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharing presentation data, interactions, and annotation information between devices. The method includes: converting the presentation data into at least one image; transmitting the at least one image to the second device; displaying an image from among the at least one image on a screen of the first device, and transmitting image identification information about the displayed image to the second device; adding annotation data to the displayed image, based on a user input; and transmitting annotation information about the annotation data to the second device. The second device displays an image corresponding to the image identification information on a screen of the second device based on the image identification information, and the second device displays the annotation information on the image displayed on the screen of the second device the annotation information.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems that provide for session storage in a remote access environment where a service application is remotely access by a client application. Session storage is in-memory, private local data store that uses key/value pairs to associate data with a particular session where data in the private local data store associated with the particular session is synchronized with the service application using a protocol over HTTP/S and WS/S. Also disclosed herein is an inter-widow communication mechanism that provides for a multi-window architecture where interconnected windows of a client application concurrently display information. This can be extended to use the private local data store, which enables the display and synchronization of content from a remote service application on a client device in a multi-window architecture.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for personalized adaptation of Virtual Reality (VR) content based on eye strain context. An initial eye strain context for a user while wearing a VR headset to view VR content in a User Interface (UI) is determined. A UI adaptation and an intensity of the UI adaptation is identified, where the UI adaptation is any one of an object velocity back and forth adaptation, a rotation movement calibration adaptation, and an object position adaptation. Modified VR content is rendered in the UI by applying the UI adaptation based on the intensity of the UI adaptation. An updated eye strain context is determined. In response to determining that the updated eye strain context indicates that eye strain has decreased, a priority weight for the UI adaptation is increased and the UI adaptation, the intensity of the UI adaptation, and the priority weight are saved in a user profile.

The at least one processor is configured by executing the instruction to calculate a distance traveled based on collected sensor information received from a plurality of sensors in response to detecting movement of the electronic device, to divide the calculated distance traveled by a specified reference unit, and output a specified object to a region including at least one reference unit point.

Abstract: An item sharing machine is configured to receive share requests in the example form of allocation requests submitted by requesters for an allocable region of a graphical user interface. The allocation requests specify numerical values accorded to the allocable region by the requesters. The item sharing machine determines a distribution of the numerical values and, based on the distribution, generates an allocation plan defined by configuration parameters for the allocable region. The item sharing machine is configured to repeatedly update the allocable region based on the allocation plan by cyclically and selectively linking the allocable region to different computers of different requesters based on the allocation plan. The allocable region accordingly becomes linked to computers of different requesters at different times, and the item sharing machine is configured to cause one or more user devices to present the allocable region linked to such computers at different times.
