Abstract: A hosts file manager is provided that displays a user interface with a list of selectable server groups. The list may comprise, for example, identifications server groups. Each server group corresponds to an IP address, and the hosts file manager has access to such IP address data. A user selection of a first server group may be made and received via said user interface. A computer's hosts file may then be modified to correlate a hostname with an IP address of the selected server group.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing a context interaction determination service. A context interaction determination service may determine that a user has selected a context-specific item in a contextual user interface, and may notify the user that a more specific context is available and provide additional information regarding the new context. A contextual user interface may be associated with a context, which in turn may be associated with a provider or providers of items. The context interaction determination service may determine that a selected item is associated with a particular provider and context, and that a set of previously selected items does not include any items associated with that context. The context interaction determination service may thus notify the user of the interaction with the new context, display a user interface or provider-specific criteria for the new context, or provide other information regarding the new context.

Abstract: An approach is presented for interacting with a messaging user interface. A presentation is caused, at least in part, of a messaging user interface associated with one or more messaging services at a device. Presentation of a user interface element providing a link to one or more communications sessions corresponding to the messaging services is caused, at least in part. Selection of the user interface element causes, at least in part, presentation of representations of the communications sessions as one or more overlay elements on the user interface.

The method may include obtaining a plurality of application data, the application data being associated with a role of a user and a plurality of applications, generating at least one tabular graphic representing a portion of the application data and at least one chart graphic representing the portion, the at least one tabular graphic and at least one chart graphic being interactive and selectable by a user, and generating and displaying a user interface, the user interface being based on the role of the user and including the at least one tabular graphic and the at least one chart graphic. In response to receiving a selection on a first filter location within the chart graphic, filtering the tabular graphic to display application data corresponding to the first filter location.

A method may comprise receiving a user request for content of a primary artist from a user media device, identifying a social connection between the primary artist and a secondary artist within at least one social network, and providing to the user media device a user recommendation for content of the secondary artist based on the identified social connection between the primary and secondary artists.

Abstract: A method for viewing a message is provided. The method may include the follows. A first touch operation performed on an icon of a message application is detected. A memory is coupled to the processor and stores an application comprising instructions to cause the device to display indications corresponding to a plurality of data transfer methods via the output interface module, receive a selection of one of the methods for use in making a subsequent data transfer, retrieve a graphical element corresponding to the selected method, configure the device for making data transfers using the selected method, and indicate the device is operable to perform data transfers using the selected method by presenting the graphical element in the interface of the application whenever the interface is displayed via the output interface module or by modifying an icon for launching the application to correspond to the graphical element.

When a touch-based interaction with a user interface element is detected, a position, orientation, and/or size of the gesturing user's hand and/or digit are determined by assessing factors such as the size and shape of the touched region on the touchscreen, the position of the user interface element relative to the edges of the touchscreen, the orientation of the touchscreen device, and other criteria. An eclipsed region of the touchscreen may be determined, and a starting coordinate for the animated visual feedback may be determined based on the eclipsed region. The animated feedback may be drawn for a determined duration, and may be reversed or erased if the touch-based interaction ceases before the duration is completed.

Abstract: A video display system for a vehicle includes a video display device disposed in the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera is disposed at the vehicle and having an exterior field of view and operable to capture image data. The field of view of the camera encompasses a blind spot of the vehicle. A control includes a data processor. The control, responsive at least in part to processing by the data processor of data captured by at least one sensor of the vehicle, detects an object present exterior of the vehicle that is in the field of view of the camera. Responsive to detection of the object present exterior of the vehicle, the control controls the video display device to episodically and automatically display video images of the object that are derived from image data captured by the camera.

Abstract: A method for configuring an automated dialog system uses traces of interactions via a graphical user interface (GUI) for an application. Each trace includes interactions in the context of a plurality of presentations of the GUI. Elements of one or more presentations of the GUI are identified, and templates are associated with portions of the trace. Each template has one or more defined inputs and a defined output. For each template of the plurality of templates, the portions of the traces are processed to automatically configure the template by specifying a procedure for providing values of inputs to the template via the GUI and obtaining a value of an output. The automated dialog system is configured with the configured templates, thereby avoiding manual configuration of the dialog system.

Abstract: A method for viewing a message is provided. The method includes the following. A first touch operation performed on an icon of a message application of the user terminal is detected. At least one touch parameter of the first touch operation is obtained, where the at least one touch parameter includes a first touch pressure value and a first touch duration. Whether the first touch pressure value exceeds a first preset threshold is determined, and whether the first touch duration exceeds a preset duration is determined. At least one message previewing window is output and at least one first target message is displayed in the at least one message previewing window based on a determination that the first touch pressure value exceeds the first preset threshold and the first touch duration exceeds the preset duration. Abstract: A method of displaying a plurality of pages on a screen of a terminal is provided. The method includes detecting a user's gesture that requests movement of the plurality of pages, identifying a movement mode relating to the movement of the plurality of pages, and moving and displaying a first page displayed on the screen and a second page connected to the first page displayed on the screen according to the identified movement mode, wherein the movement mode is one of a discrete mode and a continuous mode.
