Abstract: An apparatus and method of providing a user with a web-browser supplement is disclosed. One method includes providing access to a focal group, wherein the focal group includes at least one member having at least one association with the user. Access is provided to information associated with the at least one member having relevance to the focal group. Web browsing by the user is supplemented by the information of the members of the focal group.

Abstract: A vehicle keypad device is provided that includes a touchscreen having an array of proximity sensors located on an exterior of a vehicle, a keypad display displaying virtual input button icons proximate the proximity sensors, and a controller determining a location of a user input from the proximity sensors, determining an offset of the input from one of the virtual input icons and adjusting a sensor area of the proximity sensors for the icon based on the offset.

Abstract: Systems and processes that incorporate teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, identifying an action initiated by equipment of a first user of a number of users, during a presentation of a media program, and generating, responsive to the identifying of the action, an overlay comprising a symbol indicative of the action and situated in relation to the presentation of the media program. The overlay is presented, together with the media program, at a display of a second user of the plurality of users, wherein the symbol is selectable by the equipment of the second user. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A process for traversing or manipulating data of a data display is provided. A gesture identifier may be received indicating a display control gesture was received by a sensor. The gesture identifier may be associated with a change in one or more dimensions of the data display. Configuration data for the gesture identifier may be accessed to determine an action, and one or more parameters associated with the gesture identifier, for execution. The action may determine one or more options for traversing or manipulating the data visualization or displayed data set. The associated action may be executed using the one or more parameters. Executing the action may include generating an updated set of dimensions based at least in part on the one or more parameters, retrieving a set of database data defined by the updated dimensions, and generating a display of the retrieved set of database data.

Abstract: To provide context-specific interpretation of a user interaction with a user interface of a computer application, a processor may detect a user interaction with a user interface (UI). The processor may analyze the user interaction to determine a plurality of action details. The processor may generate a user context based on the plurality of action details and additional context information. The processor may select at least one operation relevant to the user interaction and context. The processor may cause the computer application to perform the operation.

Abstract: A device search apparatus includes: a communication device which wirelessly communicates with a device; an input device to which information is inputted; a display device which displays information; and a processing device which, if input information including a predetermined keyword is received via the input device, searches for a device, using the communication device, extracts a device associated with a device name included in the input information from among the devices detected by the search, and displays a device indication representing each of the extracted devices on the display device.

Abstract: A first autocomplete option may be determined with respect to a data-field. At least one character of the first autocomplete option may be selectable by a user action in a graphical user interface (GUI). The method may additionally include providing the first autocomplete option via the GUI. A second autocomplete option may be determined based on and in response to selection of the first autocomplete option and based on and in response to selection of the at least one character of the first autocomplete option by the user action.

Abstract: A processor may receive a data submission made through the UI. The data submission may lack data in at least one blank field provided in the UI for entering information in which no information has been entered. The processor may classify the data submission as having at least one data submission type using at least one machine learning (ML) process. The processor may determine at least one required field for the at least one data submission type. The at least one required field may require information to be entered therein. The processor may determine that the at least one blank field is also the at least one required field. Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for generating electronic menu (eMenu) graphical user interface layouts for use in connection with electronic devices (e.g., tablets, phablets, smart phones, etc.). A virtual grid-based layout including rows and columns that together constitute regularly sized and shaped grid cells is defined. Input identifying items to be included in the eMenu is received. Each item has associated length and width dimensions corresponding to a number of grid cells. At least some of the items are flagged for inclusion in the eMenu. Those items marked for inclusion are automatically and programmatically arranged in the eMenu in the grid cells of the grid-based layout in a manner that minimizes the number of unused grid cells. A tag-based representation of the layout corresponding to the formatted eMenu is stored. The file is made available to the electronic device in enabling the formatted eMenu to be displayed thereon.

Abstract: A method for organizing an application workflow for users that may transmit, to a user device, a first content for a first field of multiple fields. The method may receive, in response to transmitting the first content and from the user device, user data for the first field. The method may obtain a dynamic set of fields selected from the fields, where a portion of the fields are excluded from the dynamic set of fields based on the user data. The method may select, according to a priority of the fields, a second field from the dynamic set of fields. The method may transmit, to the user device, a second content for the second field.

The system is further configured to segment the static UI image into one or more UI image segments, wherein each UI image segment is associated with a UI image component of the one or more UI image components, and construct an operational user interface by embedding the constructed first UI component object into the operational user interface.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for determining and displaying automatically binned information via a graphical user interface. A graphical user interface (GUI) may include a first graphical element representing a first metric value for a first time window and a second graphical element representing a second metric value for a second time window. An indication of a selection of the first time window may be received via the GUI. An updated GUI comprising a third graphical element representing a third metric value for the third time window and a fourth graphical element representing the fourth metric value for the fourth time window may be displayed, wherein the third time window and the fourth time window may be sub-ranges of the first time window.

Abstract: Various embodiments describe audio signal processing. In an example, a computer system generates metrics, such as RMS levels, for audio slices from a foreground audio signal. A summed-area table is generated from the metrics. An observation window is used to determine whether to add a key frame or not. The observation window includes a set of audio slices. A total metrics, such as an average RMS level, is computed for the audio slices in the observation window. Based on the total metric, the computer system adds a key frame. The key frame references audio ducking parameters applicable to a background audio signal.

Abstract: Provided is a mobile device including a first body portion containing operational components of the mobile device, a second body portion coupled to the first body portion on a rear surface, containing auxiliary operational components of the mobile device, and a coupling hinge coupling the first body portion to the second body portion and for providing movement of the second body portion from a first position to a second position. The first body portion has a display surface and the rear surface opposite the display surface. The rear surface has a cavity. In the first position, the second body portion is recessed within the cavity of the first body portion. In the second position, the second body portion is positioned on the rear surface of the first body portion and the cavity is at least partially open to form a grip area.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to the display of operating status information in a remote desktop session. In example embodiments, a client transmits operating status information to a server via a remote desktop session established with the server. In response, the client may receive graphics information including displayed status information inserted by the server based on the operating status information. Finally, the client may output the graphics information on an available display. Other embodiments relate to a corresponding server and processing performed in the server.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display screen provides drawing directions to guide a user to create artwork on a physical medium. The electronic device displays a first drawing direction for drawing a portion of a subject on a physical medium, and prompts a user for a user input indicating completion of the first drawing direction by the user. Upon receiving the prompted user input, the electronic device displays a second drawing direction for drawing another portion of the subject on the physical medium. The subject may be based on a computer-animated movie title. The first drawing direction may include a representation of a virtual host, which is also based on a computer-animated character from a computer-animated movie title.
