  • Patent number: 8560136
Abstract: A system stabilizing device disposed in a micro grid incorporates a self-supporting control unit (200). The self-supporting control unit (200) allows a dq transforming unit (201) to determine an effective system voltage Vsd and an ineffective system voltage Vsq from a system voltage Vs. A fluctuation detecting unit (202) has differential characteristics and first-order lag characteristics, and determines the fluctuation component of the effective system voltage Vsd. This fluctuation component is multiplied by a gain in a proportional computing unit (203) to determine an ineffective current command Irefq. A fluctuation detecting unit (204) does not have differential characteristics, but has first-order lag characteristics, and determines the fluctuation component of the ineffective system voltage Vsq. This fluctuation component is multiplied by a gain in a proportional computing unit (205) to determine an effective current command Irefd.

  • Patent number: 8543234
Abstract: A method and interactive computer system for dental implant treatment planning, surgical guide design and manufacturing. In the heart of the method is a fully associative workflow integrating image processing, treatment planning, surgical kit configuration and surgical guide CAD/CAM in one single computer system. In this workflow, any changes of image processing parameters and implant information in the earlier stage are automatically propagated to the downstream. This characteristic is referred as associativity. The software aspect of the system is built upon this concept and its corresponding data model. This invention also includes an image processing and geometric modeling approach that is characterized as design for manufacturability and applicability. The integration of treatment planning and surgical guide CAD is further on integrated with manufacturing equipment to constitute a complete CAD/CAM solution, which is also fully associative.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a conveyor, a programmable motion device, and a controller. The conveyor preferably includes actuatable rollers, and the programmable motion device is preferably a robotic arm. The controller operates the conveyor, a stopping rail, and a positioning rail to move and position a box in a cutting position relative to the robotic arm. The controller determines three dimension of the box and translates a programmed cut pattern to those determined dimensions. Based on the determined dimensions, the controller then operates the robotic arm to perform the programmed cut pattern in the box with the cutting element. The cutting element preferably has square blade so that each of the four blades can be used to cut a side of the box without having to rotate the cutting element during operation.
