  • Patent number: 9426286
Abstract: A user of a user terminal (10), is a first party (FP) associated with a communication handling device (14). The user terminal receives a selection of a second party (SP) the first party desires to contact, investigates if an association exists between a first access number of the communication handling device and the second party, and if so selects the first access number and attempts to set up a call from the user terminal to the communication handling device (14), then disrupts the call and receives a return call from the communication handling device. The communication handling device receives the attempt, determines if it comprises a calling party identifier, and if so disables the call, locates the second party using the first access number and calling party identifier, sets up the return call to the user terminal, sets up a call to the second party terminal (15) and interconnects these.

  • Patent number: 9420474
Abstract: A method includes communicating data to a plurality of user equipment (UE) in a cell using a plurality of beamforms. Each of the plurality of beamforms has a main lobe and side lobes, where the main lobe is directed toward a corresponding UE of the plurality of UE. For each beamform of the plurality of beamforms, a position of the beamform is determined. Furthermore, it is determined that one or more small cells of the plurality of small cells are available to serve the corresponding UE based on determining that the one or more small cells are positioned within the main lobe of the beamform using the determined position of the beamform and one or more positions of the one or more small cells. Based on the one or more small cells being determined as available to serve the corresponding UE, beamforming is disabled to the corresponding UE from the cell, thereby preventing the side lobes of the beamform from interfering with other radio communications in the cell.

  • Patent number: 9402171
Abstract: A wireless communication device can provide an indication that its registration in a circuit-switched domain of a network is intended only for a short message service that is included in or accompanies a registration request, such as a combined registration for both the CS domain and a packet-switched (PS) domain. The device can also change a conventional order of its domain registrations, e.g., by performing a PS-domain registration before a CS-domain registration, when it will send SMS messages over the PS domain. The device can indicate its intention to use or support for SMS over the PS domain and/or be informed about network support for SMS over the PS domain before the UE attempts a network registration.

  • Patent number: 9369934
Abstract: A method in a network node for handling a cache session between the network node and a user equipment during a handover of the user equipment from a source cell of a first RAT to a target cell of a second RAT being different from the first RAT is provided. The user equipment and the network node are comprised in a wireless communications system. The network node receives (704) an identifier. The identifier identifies a cache session in the network node. The cache session is associated with a play-out for a media stream to the user equipment via a source base station serving the user equipment in the source cell. The network node identifies (705) the cache session as pertaining to the user equipment subject to said handover, by means of the received identifier. The network node then continues (708) the identified cache session via a target base station serving the target cell, when the handover of the user equipment from the source cell to the target cell has been performed.
