  • Patent number: 11183018
Abstract: An electronic gaming machine includes a display device, a memory device, and a processor. The processor displays a matrix of symbol positions formed by a plurality of reels. The processor also displays a bingo card. The processor determines an outcome that includes a first plurality of symbols to display in the matrix of symbol positions and evaluates the outcome to determine a win amount. The processor populates the matrix of bingo positions with the first prize symbol to a bingo position of the matrix of bingo positions corresponding to a position of the prize symbol in the matrix of symbol positions. The processor evaluates the matrix of bingo positions to determine whether a predefined winning pattern is formed and, in response, determines an award value based at least in part on numerical values of prize symbols forming the predefined winning pattern in the matrix of bingo positions.

Abstract: A system and method for concurrently wagering on multiple past events such as sports events that may include retrieving data about multiple events that occurred in the past that included multiple participants. The data may include information about the participants as well as pre-event rankings, and final or post-event rankings ordering the results with respect to other participants in the same event. A user may adjust the pre-event rankings or accept them as-is. The user's rankings for the participants of the events may be submitted, and a prize calculated based on the difference between the predicted rankings submitted by the user, and the final rankings of the participants based on actual past events. Various terminals, terminal configurations, and user interface aspects are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11120666
Abstract: In response to receiving a wager, a plurality of game elements are displayed as part of the wagering game. The plurality of game elements includes a play area, an enemy element that travels along an enemy path from an enemy entry location toward an enemy goal location, and a defense element that attacks the enemy element when the enemy element is within a defense attack range of the defense element. An enemy health value of the enemy element is reduced based on the defense element attacking the enemy element when the enemy element is within the defense attack range of the defense element. Reducing the enemy health value of the enemy element to zero destroys the enemy element. In response to the enemy element being destroyed, a second monetary amount is credited to the first credit account.

  • Patent number: 11120665
Abstract: A ticket checker is provided for activating a player's previously purchased ticket that is preprinted with game content and which is associated with a deal of tickets that includes at least some winning tickets. A previously purchased winning ticket cannot be redeemed until it is activated. Machine readable indicia is scanned on the previously purchased ticket at a ticket checker that is in communication with a ticket results database. A ticket activation database electronically records that the winning ticket was scanned at the ticket checker, thereby activating the winning ticket. Redemption of the winning ticket includes electronically verifying in the ticket activation database that the winning ticket was scanned at the ticket checker.

  • Patent number: 11120667
Abstract: According to some implementations, when a triggering symbol lands in a defined area of a slot game display during an instance of a base game, there is a chance that the triggering symbol may change to a new symbol. If so, the new symbol may be held in the defined area and may persist during one or more additional purchased base game instances. The new symbol may persist if at least one additional triggering symbol lands in the defined area in subsequent bought games. Each additional triggering symbol may automatically change to a new symbol as the additional triggering symbol lands in the defined area of the slot game display. Whether the triggering symbol will change to a new symbol may involve a random component. In some examples, the greater the number of triggering symbols, the greater the probability the triggering symbol will change to the new symbol.

  • Patent number: 11100754
Abstract: An electronic gaming machine includes a memory device, and a processor configured to execute instructions stored in the memory device. When executed, the instructions cause the processor to at least present a wagering game, and determine a game state of the wagering game, where the game state is one of a plurality of possible game states of the wagering game. The instructions also cause the processor to determine a game state identifier associated with the game state and register the game state identifier with a player account of a player of the wagering game to enable restoration of the wagering game to the game state using the player account.

  • Patent number: 11090562
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating virtual resources in a three-dimensional game scene is provided. A space of the game scene is divided into multiple cuboid meshes, and newly-created resources are virtual resources rendered according to a construction instruction of a player. The method includes that: in response to the construction instruction, a current location and orientation of the virtual character are acquired, where the construction instruction includes space type information of the newly-created resources; at least one target mesh surface is determined in the plurality of cuboid meshes as a construction location of the newly-created resources according to the space type information and the current location and orientation of the virtual character and the newly-created resources are rendered on the at least one target mesh surface. The present disclosure solves the technical, problem of low generation efficiency of virtual resources in 3D games.

  • Patent number: 11071909
Abstract: A system and method optimizes game quality by matching players for an online game to one of several virtual games. This matching process may involve filtering the players who wish to play according to various constraint minimizing criteria, packing the players into one or more virtual games to optimize game quality factors of the virtual games, and then instantiating the virtual games to actual online games played by the players. The game packing process may be iterative and may involve adding a new player into a virtual game. Game quality factor (GQF) values prior to and after the placement of the new player in the virtual game may be compared. The comparison of the GQF values may be used, at least in part to determine whether the new player is to remain in the virtual game. Various criteria may be considered in instantiating a virtual game.

  • Patent number: 11058954
Abstract: One aspect of the disclosure relates to implementing a secondary game within an online game. In the secondary game, a player may be provided with more than one turn, and/or to win more than one prize. The secondary game may commence with a finite set of potential awards or prizes. At individual turns, individual ones of the set of potential awards may be provided to the player. The player may have the opportunity to take turns in the secondary game until all of the potential awards have been “won.” Costs of the individual turns may be determined based on the value of the potential awards in the set of potential awards that have not yet been won.

  • Patent number: 11033813
Abstract: The present concepts relate to erasing the delay effects caused by latency. A server may model an environment. The server may transmit a series of state information relating to the state of the environment to a client. The client may receive an input provided by a user. In response, the client may transmit the input along with the state information to the server, where the state information corresponds to the state of the environment from the user's perspective at the time the user provided the input. The server may process the input according to the state information received with the input rather than the state of the environment being modeled by the server at the time the input is received by the server. Accordingly, the user may experience that the server is responsive to her inputs as though there were no latency.

  • Patent number: 11017626
Abstract: Embodiments of the present concept provide means to control the payback percentage of games being played on gaming devices. In one example, a gaming device includes a processor configured to initiate a payback-controlling event and determine a game outcome to display on the game display in response to a gaming event being initiated. Here, the determined game outcome is a payback-controlling outcome when the payback-controlling event satisfies the payback-controlling criterion, and the determined game outcome is a game outcome determined from the base-game paytable when the payback-controlling event does not satisfy the payback-controlling criterion.

  • Patent number: 11007443
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for performing a game by using an activity count. The method includes receiving a specific internet identifier that is input by a user, from a client (S100), acquiring an activity count of contents corresponding to the internet identifier (S200), converting the activity count to a game point in a specific game (S300), and allocating a specific game point to an account of the user according to an allocation weight condition in unit of a specific time (S400). Accordingly, because the monetary value of the activity count in the reality may be applied to the game point of the online game, a realistic game may be realized as the reality may be linked to the game.
