Abstract: A user interface is analyzed to identify a problem element in the user interface. A problem in the user interface is related to an initial value of an attribute of the problem element. A changed value of the attribute of the problem element is computed. A determination is made that the changed value satisfies a compliance rule applicable to the user interface. A first record and a second record are selected from a historical data. The first record includes a first value of a metric usable with the user interface, and the second record includes a second value of the metric. A difference between the second value and the first value is associated with the changed value as an expected change in the metric due to the changed value. The changed value and the expected change in the metric are presented as a remedy for the problem.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining whether to present one or more data feeds on a communication device. One system includes an electronic computing device including a network interface configured to receive one or more data feeds from one or more network-connectable devices. The data feeds are associated with an incident. The electronic computing device further includes an electronic processor configured to determine an incident type of the incident, and determine a quantity of data feeds associated with the incident. The electronic processor is further configured to determine whether to present the data feeds on a communication device based on the incident type and the quantity of data feeds. The data feeds are presented via an output device of the communication device in response to the electronic processor determining that the data feeds are to be presented on the communication device.

Abstract: A secure remote actuation system is described herein that operates based on voice commands provided by a user and/or owner of the system. The system may include: a remote input receptor having a user interface for receiving one or more user inputs from a user, the user interface having a voice input processor, and the user inputs including vocalization; and a cloud-based network storing one or acceptable inputs and including a network device for obtaining said one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor. The network device may obtain said one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface. The cloud-based network may compare said one or more user inputs to said one or more acceptable inputs. The voice input processor may include a microphone, a speaker, or both, and may perform various types of voice recognition.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for transforming instructions for collaborative updates are described herein. A group of instructions for an update of an element depicted in a client device version of a user interface are generated. The group of instructions is executed and the group or a subset of instructions are transmitted to a server. The server accepts or rejects the instructions. The server may execute the instructions to update a server version of the element. The server sends accepted instructions to the other or all client devices.

Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments provide systems and methods for efficiently recalling data on a single device and for efficiently transitioning data between devices. Users may use graphical user interfaces on one or more client devices to manage “buckets” of data. These data collections may be stored locally on the client devices and on a server storage system. In some embodiments, the system may synchronize bucket collections between client devices. Bucket data may also be cached locally on the client device to facilitate ready user access and efficient workflow. Various embodiments may be used, for example, in collaborative work environments to readily store and exchange data assets between team members.

Abstract: System, method, and computer program product embodiments describe back navigation features of a page. In an embodiment, a display device displays the page in a first layout, selected from a set of layouts associated with the page, for displaying a first content. The display device navigates from the first layout to one or more subsequent layouts, each subsequent layout selected from the set of layouts. The subsequent layouts include a second layout that concurrently displays the first content and a second related content in separate panels of the second layout. The display device stores a navigation sequence from the first layout through each of the subsequent layouts. Responsive to receiving a command to return to the first layout, the display device selects the first layout, from the stored navigation sequence, to navigate from the second layout to the first layout. Then, the page is rendered using the selected first layout.

Abstract: A method for controlling display of graphical information in a display window is presented. A scroll region, i.e. a scroll bar, is provided with a “memory” that indicates to the user where to return after scrolling away from a current position within, e.g., a large document. This is advantageous in that it relieves the user from having to be very attentive to the scrolling content of the window, which means that the scrolling can be performed more quickly when compared to prior art solutions.

Abstract: Switching real-time data stream connections between network nodes sharing a virtual area is described. In one aspect, the switching involves storing a virtual area specification. The virtual area specification includes a description of one or more switching rules each defining a respective connection between sources of a respective real-time data stream type and sinks of the real-time data stream type in terms of positions in the virtual area. Real-time data stream connections are established between network nodes associated with respective objects each of which is associated with at least one of a source and a sink of one or more of the real-time data stream types. The real-time data stream connections are established based on the one or more switching rules, the respective sources and sinks associated with the objects, and respective positions of the objects in the virtual area.

Abstract: An input support tool is displayed on a display screen. The input support tool includes a diagram, and a handle corresponding to at least a part of the diagram, and enables manipulation of the at least a part of the diagram. Each of the handles are arranged at a position separated from the respective at least a part of the diagram. A touch screen panel detects user operation of each handle, and reflects the operation in a movement of each part of the diagram.
