  • Patent number: 11227480
Abstract: An object owner determining unit generates object owner information by determining an owner of an identified object identified by an object identification unit, out of the occupants identified by an occupant identification unit, using occupant identification information and object identification information. When getting out of an occupant is detected by the occupant identification unit, an object misplacement determining unit determines whether or not an object owned by the occupant who gets out is misplaced in the vehicle using the object owner information about the occupant who gets out. When the object misplacement determining unit determines that an object owned by the occupant who gets out is misplaced in the vehicle, the warning unit provides a warning.

  • Patent number: 11219713
Abstract: A delivery safety ensuring method for a wearable delivery system, comprising two major steps to double-ensure that an instruction sent from a smart device trying to control the wearable delivery device reflects the true intention of the user. The first step is to restrict a delivery amount instructed by smart device within a pre-determined range using an alternative physical key, and the second step is to require authentication using an independent authentication tool through proximity communication. Both steps of the safety ensuring method require no open network access, solving the problem of the smart device being vulnerable to program failure and external viruses so as to enhance delivery safety, especially against malicious external attacks from open network. A wearable delivery system using this method is further provided.

  • Patent number: 11204331
Abstract: In one embodiment, an optical state monitor includes an a light source detection layer for detecting electromagnetic radiation from an associated good. The optical state monitor uses a processor to evaluate the detected radiation, and make a comparison to a pre-defined optical state profile for the good. By making this comparison, the optical state detector is able to determine a quality for the good. In a particular construction, the optical state detector has an integral light source, and the light detection layer is printed as a thin film device. In this way, a stand-alone self-contained sensor is constructed for determining the good's current quality.

  • Patent number: 11183301
Abstract: A mathematical model of type 1 diabetes (T1D) patient decision-making can be used to simulate, in silico, realistic glucose/insulin dynamics, for several days, in a variety of subjects who take therapeutic actions (e.g. insulin dosing) driven by either self-monitoring blood glucose (SMBG) or continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). The decision-making (DM) model can simulate real-life situations and everyday patient behaviors, Accurate submodels of SMBG and CGM measurement errors are incorporated in the comprehensive DM model. The DM model accounts for common errors the patients are used to doing in their diabetes management, such as miscalculations of meal carbohydrate content, early/delayed insulin administrations and missed insulin boluses. The DM model can be used to assess in silico if/when CGM can safely substitute SMBG in T1D management, to develop and test guidelines for CGM driven insulin dosing, to optimize and individualize off-line insulin therapies and to develop and test decision support systems.

  • Patent number: 11176800
Abstract: A power supply device is such that when an output voltage is abnormal, a system manager or the like can easily acquire information effective in identifying a cause of the abnormality. The power supply device includes a first light emitting element installed to be visually recognizable from an exterior, and a light emitting element control unit that drives the first light emitting element. When an output voltage is abnormal, the light emitting element control unit causes the first light emitting element to flash, thereby convert at least one of specific power supply operation information used for inferring a cause of the output voltage being abnormal and cause information inferred based on the specific power supply operation information into an optical digital signal formatted for serial communication, and causes the optical digital signal to be output from the first light emitting element.
