Abstract: A shelving structure is made up of angular corner posts having prongs on which U-shaped struts are hung to tie the posts together, the slits in the struts receiving depending flanges of the shelves so that the are supported and serve to strengthen the struts. The corner posts may be replaced by special posts so that separate module units may be united. Related prongs are provided to yield horizontal or slanting shelves.

Abstract: A modular shelving system assembly is constructed from a combination of tubular frame elements of a rectangular shape provided with a series of spaced aligned openings in opposed inner faces of both of the long side rails and the inner and outer faces of both of the short side rails are provided with a plurality of spaced aligned openings. The two side faces of at least one of the long side rails include aligned openings laterally spaced similarly to the openings in the short side rails. A plurality of identical frame elements may be connected to one another by means of appropriate fasteners fitted in related aligned openings with a short side rail connected to another short side rail to form a vertical column of frame elements. The opposite short side rails of additional similar frame elements are connected to adjacent long side rails of similarly constructed vertical columns to provide horizontal brace members and provide an integrated shelving unit.

Abstract: A sun shade for use on lounge chairs comprises an elongated strip of flexible plastic having a pair of brackets adjustably pivotably affixed to ends of the sheet, each of the brackets being adjustably positionable along a respective side portion of a conventional lounge chair.

Abstract: A seat anchor is provided including an elbow bolt connecting the horizontal portion of a seat support to a vehicle portion thereof attached to the under surface of the seat. This anchor secures the frame of the seat to the bracket, encircling a portion of the frame. The elbow bolt holds the seat from movement relative to the frame.

Abstract: Laminated cushion formed of a plurality of alternating, relatively rigid and relatively soft layers of resilient foam has a higher compression rate in the direction of an axis parallel to the planes of the layers than in the transverse direction. Thus, when the cushion is positioned with the planes of the layers arranged vertically, the cushion is usable as an armrest. When it is positioned with the planes of the layers arranged horizontally, it is usable as a pillow. In a modification, the cushion can be added to the side of a conventional armrest on an aircraft passenger seat to increase the width thereof while being easily compressed sideways to accommodate larger framed passengers.

Abstract: A table having a sliding table top supported on a base for edgewise adjustment of the top relative to the base, and means for releasably locking the top in fixed position relative to the base. The table is designed for use in combination with a bench seat or the like to provide a dining facility, such as a breakfast nook, wherein the table top may be moved away from the seat for convenience of access to and egress from the seat and toward the seat to a comfortable dining position.

Abstract: The invention provides a table comprising a first and a second set of legs and a table top; the table top being optionally supportable by either the first or the second set of legs and wherein the table top is pivotally attached to the second set of legs whereby, when supported by the second set of legs, the table top may be pivotable from a generally horizontal position to a generally vertical position.It is preferred that the first set of legs is so mounted to the table top to demountably project therefrom. In one instance of this, the legs of the first set of legs are made detachable from the table top such as by being mounted to the table top by male and female threaded members. In another instance of this the legs of the first set of legs are pivotally attached to the table top and are movable from an erect position to a stowed position beneath the table top.

Abstract: A self-erecting step stool comprising a top, pivoted leg structures at the ends of the top, a pivoted leg holding strut between the legs and having positive engagement therewith when the legs are extended; a strengthening rib secured or integral to the top at the underside thereof, said pivoted strut being pivoted in journals which are secured to said strengthening rib whereby sidewise thrust on the leg structures at the ends of the step stool is transferred through the pivoted strut to the strengthening rib and thence to the top.

Abstract: This invention relates to supports for cameras and the like on tripods. Such supports normally provide for tilting and panning of the camera. The invention is concerned with the smooth operation of the support bearings and includes means for maintaining between two relatively rotating surfaces a thin film of a suitable liquid and means for adjusting the thickness of the liquid film between the rotating surfaces.

Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a collapsible painter's canvas frame holder rack having upper and lower sheets of plastic having slots arranged in a prescribed pattern therein for detachably mating male keys of upright support strips having each along one dimension of its thickness an elongated shape corresponding to elongated shape of the slot, and the keys being on the upper and lower ends of the strips for insertion when the strips are upright to support the upper sheet above the lower strip, with one strip at each end of the sheets positioned transversely to other support strips such that the entire structure is secure against accidental shifting, the remaining strips being positioned to define frame insertion spaces between the strips in directions substantially parallel with widths of the strips.

Abstract: A foldable sample display table having a square top and two substantially flat, similar, upright crossed frame sections whereon the top is placed. The top is removable and the frame sections are pivoted about the upright central axis of the frame table where they cross each other at right angles. For storage or shipment, these sections are folded against each other to a flat structure. Each frame section is formed of rods in an opposing, symmetrical arrangement as opposing wing portions below the table top, a common neck portion below the wings and opposing pedestal below the neck portions. Each rod includes a top portion of the wing which fits into a groove at the underside of the table top and these top portions of the rods hold the table top in place. Each wing includes a vertical arm depending from the underside of the table top near the edge to carry an array of display samples, such as rug samples, mounted on the arms as by hooks.

Abstract: A load carrying pallet is provided for use in transporting cargo in aircraft, trucks or railroad carriages, such pallet having an all round extending upstanding rim thus creating a shallow depression on one face of the pallet, this depression accommodating a number of folding seats which are hingedly attached to the pallet in such a way that they can easily be folded to be fully accommodated within the depression, the rear side of the seat and/or other members being flush with the upper edge of the rim surrounding the pallet.

Abstract: A table assembly having a top portion and a base portion which are secured together by supplying the base portion with a circular ring and the top portion with a plurality of clips supported on the bottom surface of the top portion by cross braces. The clips align with the circular ring of the base portion by sliding the top portion therealong whereby one of the clips is situated in the interior of the circular ring and the other clips are situated exteriorly of the circular ring. The clips are then secured to the bottom surface of the circular ring as by screws.

Abstract: A top or guard for an infant's dressing table or dresserette is provided which is so designed and constructed as to reduce or minimize the possibility of the infant rolling or falling off the table. The top is of such construction that it can be shortened to conform in dimensions or area with the table or dresserette when the latter is folded or closed. It comprises sections, one of which is pivotally movable in relation to the other whereby the movable section may be folded to a position in superimposed and enclosing relation to the other. A feature comprises the securement of the movable section to the other section, in hinged relationship, without the provision of hinges which are permanently secured to the sections. Another feature is the provision of means on one of the sections for causing the other section to be moved into coplanar relationship with the other, when the sections are in open position.

Abstract: An easily assembled and disassembled, aquarium stand wherein a pair of longitudinally spaced, generally vertical, springable end frame members have upper portions removably supporting an upper aquarium supporting frame and lower portions supporting a lower frame. Braces, which are fixed to the upper frame section, engage and hold the end frame members in sprung positions of assembly with the upper and lower frames.

Abstract: A cushion includes a squab which is formed from first and second cooperating body parts mated together by a peripheral rim and recess respectively formed in the body parts. A cavity is formed internally of the body parts and a frame member is disposed therein. A channel is also formed within the peripheral rim of the first body part and a resilient wire is disposed therein for holding therein the periphery of a cover of the second part whereby the two parts are held together.

Abstract: A barber and beauty salon chair which is of the usual appearance with a hydraulic or other lift to regulate the height of the patron, but which is self cleaning, as it contains a vacuum suction pump in the base with suction pipes opening onto the floor for suctioning in hair cuttings, and other debris. There is a switch on the chair for turning the suction pump on when the patron is finished, and this causes all the hair cuttings and the like to be suctioned off the floor and into a receptacle inside the base to be emptied out later.

Abstract: A removable stacking frame assembly particularly suited for association with a plastic merchandise pallet. The stacking frame includes a plurality of upwardly extending legs each having foot members adapted to be detachably secured to a pallet. In addition, there is provided an upper frame member associated with the legs serving as a stacking frame wherein merchandise on the pallet is protected from damage and which may also serve to support another pallet mounted thereon.
