Abstract: The present disclosure provides a security verification method and a relevant device, to increase the difficulty of cracking. The method includes: receiving, from a verification requester, a request for pulling a sliding verification code; acquiring the sliding verification code which includes a slider and a second endpoint image obtained by performing filter processing on a first endpoint image; and returning the sliding verification code to the verification requester. The first endpoint image and the slider are generated from the same original image, and the slider and the second endpoint image are returned to the verification requester finally. The second endpoint image is obtained by performing image processing on the first endpoint image, and after the image processing, in an area outside the slider placement area, pixel values of pixels in the second endpoint image are different from pixel values of corresponding pixels in the original image.

Abstract: A device displays a first selectable user interface (UI) element associated with a first touch activation region. The device detects a change of movement of the display. In response to the change of movement, the device adjusts the first touch activation region to encompass a new area. The new area is at least partially different from the first touch activation region prior to the change of movement and is based on the change of the movement. After detecting the change of movement, the device detects a touch input. In accordance with a determination that the touch input is detected within the adjusted first touch activation region, the device performs a user interface operation associated with the first selectable UI element. In accordance with a determination that the touch input is detected outside the adjusted first touch activation region, the device forgoes performance of the user interface operation.

Abstract: Electrostatic friction textures on a touchscreen panel are used to create the sensation of block icons in a contextual menu adapted to an automotive environment. In particular, a center stack touchscreen friction display in a passenger vehicle provides one set of touch controls and HMI data to the driver while simultaneously providing either the same control options and HMI or a completely different set of information and menu structure to the passenger in invisible texture form. The invisible texture is in the form of block icons, and coincidence between a finger of a passenger and a block icon results in an audio announcement of the block icon to guide a visually impaired passenger through the contextual menu.

Abstract: A configurable user interface architecture to be used in high integrity safety critical avionic systems and is adaptable to multiple cockpit displays has a protocol-agnostic layer that handles entry and display update behaviors, and a protocol-specific layer that connects the entry and display behaviors to protocol-specific input/output messages using configuration tables. The configuration tables are built using a specially designed configuration tool and the configuration table built by the tool can be embedded in the target user interface software or loaded externally into a pre-compiled application.

Abstract: Techniques and systems are described for automatic content-aware collages. Collage templates are generated based on generated set of initial points. Salient regions are determined within digital images, and the salient regions are matched with cells of a collage template. Chrominance of digital images may be mediated to provide a cohesive color scheme among the digital images, and geometric parameters of digital images may be generated to optimize visible salient regions within cells of the template. A collage is generated incorporating the digital images in corresponding cells of the template.

Abstract: A system configured to generate and/or modify three-dimensional scenes comprising animated character(s) based on individual asynchronous motion capture recordings. The system may comprise sensor(s), display(s), and/or processor(s). The system may receive selection of a first character to virtually embody within the virtual space, receive a first request to capture the motion and/or the sound for the first character, and/or record first motion capture information characterizing the motion and/or the sound made by the first user as the first user virtually embodies the first character. The system may receive selection of a second character to virtually embody, receive a second request to capture the motion and/or the sound for the second character, and/or record second motion capture information. The system may generate a compiled virtual reality scene wherein the first character and the second character appear animated within the compiled virtual reality scene contemporaneously.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods for providing an upgrade option for accessing an account on a service. In some embodiments, the method is performed at a computer system that is in communication with a display generation component and one or more input devices, and includes displaying a user interface that includes information associated with a service provided by a first entity, receiving a first user input, and in response to receiving the first user input, displaying a first selectable user interface object corresponding to an upgrade option. Enabling the upgrade option causes login requests corresponding to requests to log in to the service using an access account to be authenticated by a second entity different from the first entity.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for generating and managing an online tool GUI with tiles. An embodiment operates by causing the online tool GUI to be displayed responsive to a request to access the online tool GUI from a user. The online tool GUI includes: a first main tile including a use-case for a first online tool; a first use-case navigation button configured to generate, when selected, a request for the first main tile to be displayed within the online tool GUI; and a second use-case navigation button configured to generate, when selected, a request for a second main tile to be displayed within the online tool GUI. In response to a selection of the second use-case navigation button, the online tool GUI replaces the first main tile with the second main tile including a use-case for a second online tool.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for using a volumetric CAPTCHA display to verify that a human is present at a computer. Responsive to a request for a computer resource, a volumetric CAPTCHA is displayed in a user interface at the computer. The volumetric CAPTCHA has a first three dimensional (3D) feature and a second 3D feature. The user is prompted to answer a question about the first 3D feature of the volumetric CAPTCHA display. The received user response to the question is evaluated for correctness in describing the first 3D feature of the volumetric CAPTCHA. In response to the received user response being correct, the user is allowed access to the computer resource. The first 3D feature and the second 3D feature have a relationship with each other in the volumetric CAPTCHA.

Abstract: Techniques for determining one or more hydrocarbon sweet spots include generating a three-dimensional (3D) simulation model of a hydrocarbon reservoir in a subterranean formation; executing a gas winnowing process to the 3D simulation model; applying one or more geomechanical restraints to the 3D simulation model; activating one or more energy simulation parameters with the 3D simulation model; applying a total dynamic productivity index (TDPI) process to the 3D simulation model to generate at least one 3D index that includes one or more hydrocarbon sweet spots; and generating a graphical representation of the generated 3D index for presentation on a graphical user interface (GUI) to a user.

The communication can cause a content presentation system coupled to the server system to control presentation of the referenced piece of content utilizing the particular media playing application.

Abstract: A system for remotely presenting and controlling various types of content includes a computing device that receives a unique identifier of a content presentation system. The computing device generates a set of messages that include a first command in a first format, a reference to a piece of content associated with a particular media playing application, an identifier of the particular media playing application, and the unique identifier. The set of messages is communicated to a server system, which sends the content presentation a second command in a second format. The communication causes the content presentation system to utilize the second command and the particular media playing application to control the referenced piece of content.
