Abstract: A method of managing a media file storage relocation and/or editing process that comprises receiving location data indicative a user geographical location of users during a monitored period and a capturing/uploading geographical location and time of each media file, using the file capturing/uploading geographical location and time to identify a spatiotemporal proximity of a group from the users to respective the media file capturing/uploading geographical location of one or more of the media files during a respective the media file capturing/uploading time, detecting member(s) of the group which is imaged in the one or more media files using a recognition function, such as a face and/or voice recognition functions and in response to the detecting, initiating a media file storage relocation process and/or an editing process.

Abstract: Adding electronic content by a user within the prior art requires the user formats every item or uses a template that predetermines the position and type of content added. However, it would be beneficial to provide users with templates which provide rules which are applied to the content as it is added based upon aspects of the template and/or data associated with the content. It would be beneficial if such templates automatically associated format elements, icons, other display elements, sourced additional content etc. based upon aspects such as the region of the template the content is added or data associated with the content being added. Further, where rendering is based upon data associated with the content if the user modifies the rendered content then these changes should be beneficially reflected in the data associated with the content such that a subsequent rendering reflects the user adjustments, etc.

Abstract: A system for controlling playback of various types of content includes a first computing device that provides a unique identifier to a second computing device to establish an association there between. By virtue of the established association, the second computing device can send one or more messages to the first computing device, the one or more messages referencing a piece of content associated with a first media playing element of a plurality of media playing elements, and one or more commands corresponding to the first media playing element. The first computing device can select the first media playing element based on the received one or more messages, and control how the first media playing element plays the referenced piece of content utilizing the one or more commands.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a map application with novel map exploration tools. In some embodiments, the map application executes on a mobile device (e.g., a handheld smartphone, a tablet, etc.) with a touch sensitive screen. The map application of some embodiments has a first display area to display a map of a region, and second and third display areas to display information about items displayed on the map in the first display area. In some embodiments, the second display area slides over the first display area to overlap at least a portion of the first display area. After the second display area slides over the first display area, the third display area in some embodiments slides over the first display area to overlap at least a portion of the first display area. In some embodiments, the second and third display areas slide over the first display area from one side of the first display area. This side is the bottom of the first display area in some embodiments.

Abstract: The method of providing audiovisual content to a client device configured to be coupled to a display. The method detects a selection of a graphical element corresponding to a video content item. In response to detecting the selection of the graphical element, a transmission mode is determined. The transmission mode is a function of: (i) one or more decoding capabilities of the client device; (ii) a video encoding format of the video content item; (ii) whether the video content item should be displayed in a full screen or a partial screen format; and (iv) whether the client device is capable of overlaying image data into a video stream. Next, audiovisual data that includes the video content item is prepared for transmission according to the determined transmission mode. Finally, the prepared audiovisual data is transmitted from the server toward the client device, according to the determined transmission mode, for display on the display.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, device and system for amending a heartbeat type. The method includes: displaying an interface for presenting heartbeat waveforms; based on a user interface provided on the interface for presenting the heartbeat waveforms, detecting a currently triggered heartbeat type; and when detecting that at least one electrocardiogram waveform on the interface for presenting the heartbeat waveforms is selected, amending a heartbeat type of the selected at least one electrocardiogram waveform as the currently triggered heartbeat type. The technical solutions provided by the present disclosure can simplify operations for amending heartbeat types and thereby improve working efficiency.

Abstract: In one aspect, a device includes a processor, first and second video displays accessible to the processor, and storage accessible to the processor and including instructions executable by the processor to present on a task bar of at least one of the video displays at least a first selector selectable to cause a first application to be presented on the first video display and a second application to be presented on the second video display, and to present on the task bar at least a second selector selectable to cause a third application to be presented on the first video display and a fourth application to be presented on the second video display.

Abstract: A system for presenting and controlling content on a display device includes a network, a server system coupled to the network and comprising one or more servers, a display device coupled to the network and having a display, and a personal computing device operable to transmit a first message according to a specified format over the network to the server system. The server system stores an association between the personal computing device and the display device. The first message identifies user-selected content and a media player to play the content. The server system is operable, in response to receiving the first message from the personal computing device, to provide to the display device a second message identifying the user-selected content and the media player to play the content. In response to receiving the second message, the display device is operable to obtain a first media player needed to play the content, to load the media player and to present the content on the display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing identification tests. In some embodiments, a system and a method are provided for generating and serving to a user an animated challenge graphic comprising a challenge character set whose appearance may change over time. In some embodiments, marketing content may be incorporated into a challenge message for use in an identification test. The marketing content may be accompanied by randomly selected content to increase a level of security of the identification test. In some embodiments, a challenge message for use in an identification test may be provided based on information regarding a transaction for which the identification test is administered. For example, the transaction information may include a user identifier such as an IP address. In some embodiments, identification test results may be tracked and analyzed to identify a pattern of behavior associated with a user identifier. A score indicative of a level of trustworthiness may be computed for the user identifier.

Abstract: A system for displaying published electronic documents includes an electronic periodical database that stores electronic files representing a plurality of electronic documents and a plurality of corresponding published issues to each of the plurality of electronic documents, an electronic periodical display controller that displays a graphic substrate upon which the plurality of electronic documents and the plurality of corresponding published issues retrieved from the electronic periodical database are arranged, and a user input controller that receives user input to manipulate the graphic substrate to control a zooming function and a panning function that displays the plurality of electronic documents and published issues within the graphic substrate, and associates input user information with a specific one of the plurality of electronic published issues of the plurality of electronic documents.

Abstract: A device for augmented reality model alignment is disclosed. The device may receive user input that identifies a machine, identify an augmented reality model associated with the machine, and display a representation of the machine with multiple icons that indicate multiple positions for a target marker. The device may detect a user selection of an icon of the multiple icons and may determine, based on the selected icon, an orientation for superimposition of the augmented reality model. The device may detect the target marker in an image captured by an image capture component of the device and may superimpose the augmented reality model on the image using the orientation.

Abstract: A system may receive application data in a client-incompatible format and convert at least a portion of the application data into an alternate client-compatible format. In one example, the incompatible format may comprise Enhanced Binary Interchange Format (EBIF) while a client-compatible format may include a web format such as JavaScript, XML or HTML. Interactions (e.g., commands and user input) associated with the application may be received and converted. The interactions may then be processed using the application.

Abstract: A document image is obtained and fine-grain item-specific information within the document image is encrypted with varying levels of encryption, each encryption level associated is with a specific security access role. When the document image is presented to an end-user, the end-user's security access role determines which portions of the fine-grain item-specific information is decrypted and which portions remain encrypted, such that some portions of the document image are obfuscated from the end-user based on the end-user's security access role.

Abstract: A system configured to generate and/or modify three-dimensional scenes comprising animated character(s) based on individual asynchronous motion capture recordings. The system may comprise sensor(s), display(s), and/or processor(s). The system may receive selection of a first character to virtually embody within the virtual space, receive a first request to capture the motion and/or the sound for the first character, and/or record first motion capture information characterizing the motion and/or the sound made by the first user as the first user virtually embodies the first character. The system may receive selection of a second character to virtually embody, receive a second request to capture the motion and/or the sound for the second character, and/or record second motion capture information. The system may generate a compiled virtual reality scene wherein the first character and the second character appear animated within the compiled virtual reality scene contemporaneously.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and terminal for operating through a touch screen. The method includes: after a transparent virtual keyboard is displayed, receiving a first operation for a display area of the transparent virtual keyboard through a touch screen; determining, according to the first operation, that a target object of the first operation is a page content in the display area of the transparent virtual keyboard; and performing the first operation for the page content in the display area of the transparent virtual keyboard. Therefore, the operation may be directly performed for the determined target object. Therefore, no additional operation is required to perform switching between the transparent virtual keyboard and the page, thereby reducing user operations and improving the user experience.

Abstract: The present application provides internet browsing especially a three dimensional webpage browsing methods and systems by using the movement of a computing device with a display. By moving the computing device, a user changes the location and the orientation of the computing device, and thus interacts with at least one information item in a first web page. The computing device measures the location difference and the orientation difference between the computing device and the information item, and determines whether each of the location difference and the orientation difference is within a threshold, respectively. If both the location and orientation differences are within the threshold for a predetermined time, the user is directed to a second web page.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods relating to persistent network resource and virtual area associations for realtime collaboration include managing and displaying an object associated with a virtual area that supports establishment of respective presences of communicants operating respective client network nodes. Examples of the object include an object that has one or more user-modifiable property fields and an object that is associated with screen sharing functionality of the client network node.

Abstract: A method comprising: accessing a record of past emails or IM messages between a first user and other users; receiving a search query from the first user; from amongst a set of entities, identifying a subset as preferred entities of the first user; causing a graphical user interface to selectively display a list of the preferred entities; in response to the receipt of the received search query, automatically causing the graphical user interface to display, simultaneously in association with each respective one of the preferred entities in the list, a separate respective numerical count of search results found for the respective entity based on the received search query; and based on the first user selecting one of the entities from the list, causing the graphical user interface to display to the first user a filtered-down list formed from some or all of the search results for the selected entity.
