Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for facilitating stops for vehicles en route to a common destination. A request is received from a first vehicle, the request pertaining to a desire to make a particular type of stop en route to a destination. Information pertaining to the request is transmitted to one or more additional vehicles that are also en route to the destination. Feedback is obtained from the first vehicle, the second vehicle, or both, as to a desired location for the stop.

Abstract: A system for presenting content includes a display device storing a virtual client. A display host is operable to execute multiple instances of a browser each of which operates as a swappable media player that is operable to retrieve and load any of a plurality of different media players needed to play specified content. The display host is operable to perform operations including receiving from a switchboard server system a message indicating that a specified media player is to be used to play particular content using a first instance of a swappable media player, retrieving and loading the specified media player from a content provider using the first instance of the swappable media player, playing the particular content in a first session using the specified media player, and causing a presentation of the content to be mirrored onto the virtual client residing on the display device.

Abstract: Exemplary multi-screen casting systems and methods are disclosed. For example, systems and methods for casting a graphical user interface display of a mobile device to a display screen associated with a set-top-box device are disclosed. An exemplary method includes a multi-screen casting system establishing a multi-screen display relationship between a mobile device and a set-top-box device, identifying data associated with a graphical user interface display of the mobile device, and transmitting the identified data associated with the graphical user interface display of the mobile device to the set-top-box device for display by a display device associated with the set-top-box device. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses enabling an application-launching interface for multiple modes. This interface enables a user to quickly and easily select to launch applications associated with different modes. A user may avoid wading through multiple interfaces, making multiple selections, and/or a cognitive load associated with deciding on a mode with which to interact.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a display controller and a selector. The display controller displays, on a screen, at least one or more note icons corresponding to a note file including a plurality of pages. The selector selects a first note icon displayed on the screen. If a display mode of a note icon transitions from a mode capable of selecting at least one or more note icons to a mode capable of manipulating a page of a first note file corresponding to the first note icon, the display controller displays a transition image including an enlarged image of the first note icon and an enlarged image of a region other than the first note icon.

Abstract: Methods and systems for accelerated scrolling and zooming of content. A method may include receiving an indication of a scroll action. The scroll action indicates a direction to scroll and a user's intent to scroll a significant distance. The method further includes evaluating the direction and a length of the scroll action. The method still further includes providing a scroll widget, for example by an operating to an application. The widget is to be presented relative to a location of where the indication was received. The scroll widget then allows a user to jump to a top or an end of a content displayed at the location.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes an on-demand content management system detecting a user request for a content library view and displaying, in response to the request, the content library view in a graphical user interface, the content library view including a list of entries graphically representing a plurality of on-demand content instances included in a library of on-demand content, the list of entries comprising a first set of one or more entries representing one or more on-demand content instances included in the library and in a download queue and a second set of one or more entries representing one or more other on-demand content instances included in the library but not in the download queue, wherein a position of the first set of entries is prioritized over a position of the second set of entries in the list of entries. Abstract: A system and method is provided that displays cursors for street level images, where the cursor changes appearance based on the objects in the image, such as the geographic distance between the objects and the camera position and the surface of the objects. For example, the cursor may appear to lie flat against the objects in the image change size based on the distance between the camera and object's surface.

Some embodiments include receiving a reference content item, such as an image, map, or calendar, and mappings of package files to locations within the reference item for display. Such embodiments may then publish the package file. Some other embodiments include generating visual representations of package files including a reference content item and one or more content items mapped to locations within a reference content item. The display includes a name for a particular contact and a generic input area. Each of a plurality of contact records identifies a name for a contact, and each of the plurality of contact records is configured to store multiple entries that each include a value and a field type from a plurality of field types. User input of information using the generic input area is received. A field type from the plurality of field types is determined based on matching semantics of the received user input. The determining occurs without receiving user input specifically identifying the matching field type. The determined field type and the received user input is stored as an entry for the particular contact record.

One popular example of a group of media items is know as a playlist, which can pertain to a group of audio tracks. One aspect pertains to providing a persistent media device playlist at a host computer. Another aspect pertains to imposing capacity limits to a playlist, such as a media device playlist. Still another aspect pertains to a graphical user interface that enables a user to trade-off storage capacity of a media device between media asset storage and data storage. Yet still another aspect pertains to a graphical user interface that assists a user with selecting media items to fill a group of media items.
