  • Patent number: 11789988
Abstract: A method is executed at a computer system to retrieve data from a database. Upon receiving a database query, a database engine of the computer system parses the query to form an operator tree including a plurality of join operators. For one of the plurality of clauses, the database engine adds to the operator tree a respective node that specifies a mark join operator, a single join operator, an inner join operator, or an outer join operator. Specifically, the database engine adds the mark join operator when the clause includes one of a predetermined set of predicate subqueries, and adds the single join operator when the clause includes a scalar subquery. The database engine performs one or more optimization passes on the operator tree to form an optimized execution plan, and executes the optimized execution plan to retrieve a result set from the database.

  • Patent number: 11734332
Abstract: A method for using distributed representations of data items within a first set of data documents clustered in a first two-dimensional metric space to generate a cluster of distributed representations in a second two-dimensional metric space includes clustering in a first two-dimensional metric space, by a reference map generator, a set of data documents, generating a semantic map. A parser generates an enumeration of data items occurring in the set of data documents. A representation generator generates a distributed representation using occurrence information about each data item. A sparsifying module receives an identification of a maximum level of sparsity and reduces a total number of set bits within the distributed representation. The reference map generator clusters, in a second two-dimensional metric space, a set of SDRs retrieved from the SDR database and selected according to a second at least one criterion, generating a second semantic map.

  • Patent number: 11727005
Abstract: A word completion system based on a partial but exact template that entails a finite number of matches. A primary component is a close ended template made up of cues representing one or more characters, constrained by the exact number of characters in the desired word. It can be edited with pinpoint accuracy to regenerate a new result set in real time to reflect the change. The exact number of characters in the template can be indicated by a discrete signal with a designated gesture or keying in a number. The system is substantially interactive without requiring command line input or a scripting language. A delimiter or a designated signal is used to select an entry from the result set to complete the target word. The proposed method is inherently deterministic and extensible to different writing systems, and adaptable and portable to a wide range of hardware platforms.

  • Patent number: 11720639
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for facilitating patient health care by providing discovery, validation, and quality assurance of nomenclatural linkages between pairs of terms or combinations of terms in databases extant on multiple different health information systems that do not share a set of unified codesets, nomenclatures, or ontologies, or that may in part rely upon unstructured free-text narrative content instead of codes or standardized tags. Embodiments discover semantic structures existing naturally in documents and records, including relationships of synonymy and polysemy between terms arising from disparate processes, and maintained by different information systems. In some embodiments, this process is facilitated by applying Latent Semantic Analysis in concert with decision-tree induction and similarity metrics.

  • Patent number: 11720567
Abstract: A computer-based real-world evidence (CRWE) solution that can handle disparities in real-world data (RWD) that might otherwise not be combinable or that might originate from disparate or heterogeneous sources. The CRWE solution is designed such that it can build up RWD data from the ground up (for example, from the atomic level) into a canonical relational database by converting or linking the raw RWD data to its canonical versions such that reliable canonical answers can be mined from large datasets and consistently provided in response to queries to the solution for an answer. The CRWE solution is designed to gather and analyze large amounts of RWD data from heterogeneous, multi-national, and unverifiable data sources, and provide canonical results that are constituently reliable and can expose, for example, clinically-significant correlations between medical products or treatments and outcomes.

  • Patent number: 11720585
Abstract: In connection with processing asynchronous streams of aircraft telemetry data, data processing logic is developed to run on multiple aircraft, even if the aircraft use different avionics equipment. An electronic data inventory system tracks data available on a set of aircraft. A set of “global” data elements applicable to aircraft in a fleet is defined and tracked in the electronic inventory system, along with the relationship to the underlying native data elements and specific aircraft. The global units are derived as appropriate, for each specific aircraft's avionics and/or sensor environment. An interface enables definition of data processing logic that is integrated with the electronic inventory system and ensures the general validity of the defined logic. The data processing logic may be deployed to one or more aircraft in a function integrated with the electronic inventory system, to ensure the validity of the data processing logic for each aircraft specified as a deployment target.
