  • Patent number: 4800791
Abstract: A first belt conveyor carries a cable in the direction of the cable axis. A second belt conveyor receives cable coming form the first belt conveyor. The direction of transportation of the second belt conveyor is at a substantial angle relative to the transportation direction of the first belt conveyor. A guide channel, which extends from a delivery side of the first belt conveyor to an input side of the second belt conveyor, is provided for the cable. A slider is disposed opposite to the second belt conveyor relative to the guide channel for engaging a wire disposed in the guide channel. A slot is disposed between guide channel and second belt conveyor. The slot opens for a cable section pushed by the slider from the guide channel into the direction of the second belt conveyor for placing the cable between belts of the second belt conveyor system.

  • Patent number: 4801063
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting sticks into ice cream bodies contains a magazine 2, from where the sticks 1 are discharged to a carrier 4, which is provided with pockets 6 for receiving the sticks 1. The sticks 1 are fed from the pockets 6 to mold cavities filled with ice cream, by clamping devices 8 mounted in a pick-up assembly 7, which can be moved between a position in which the sticks 1 are lifted out of the pockets 6 to a position above mold cavities containing ice cream. A piston 3 is placed in the magazine 2. The piston is designed to squeeze the sticks 1 in the magazine against the carrier with an abutment force substantially greater than the weight of the sticks stacked in the magazine.

  • Patent number: 4799556
Abstract: A drilling boom has an articulated arm 12 which carries a drill feed beam 28 on its outer end. Apart from the articulation 36, 38 provided by the joint at the outer end of the arm, the feed beam can rotate about two mutually perpendicular axes at the end of the arm. One of these axes is defined by the so-called rollover unit 44 and the other axis 92 is at right angles to the length of a drill rod on the feed beam and allows at least 180 degrees of rotation so that parallel holes can be drilled in all parts of the roof, floor and side walls of a heading.

  • Patent number: 4799412
Abstract: Method for severing the ends of tubing by feeding the end of a tube through a die such that its end to be sheared extends beyond the die while presenting a shear blade with a pointed end in the interior of the tube end. After the shear blade is inserted into the tube, relative vertical movement between the shear blade and the tube is effected to cause the pointed end to initially puncture the tube wall adjacent the die. The shearing blade is thereafter shifted laterally and vertically to shear remaining portions of the tube wall.

  • Patent number: 4798114
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting meat blocks which includes a main blade to cut slices from a meat block and transverse blades to divide the slice into strips. The blades are mounted on a cutting unit which may be driven to reciprocate relative to a stationary meat block support. The latter includes a slice support structure that extends outwardly beneath the cutting unit in a comb-like configuration. The cutting unit carries a horizontally adjustable stop assembly having stop elements which fit and reciprocate within the gaps formed in the slice support. This configuration permits the smooth and stepless adjustment of the slice thickness without the necessity of disassembling any parts.

  • Patent number: 4798115
Abstract: A pneumatic drive for punching, cutting and stamping devices, which have two tool parts which can be moved toward one another, and of which preferably one, at least in the operating position, is fixedly connected to the machine frame, is constructed such that an opening gap, which is as large as possible, is created. Furthermore, when the tool parts are moved together, the pneumatic drive is operated at a low pressure, so that additional safety devices are not needed. A pneumatic cylinder is secured on the movable tool part for this purpose, the piston rod of the pneumatic cylinder being constructed lockably in at least one end position. The piston rod of a pressure clamping element is secured on the piston rod exiting from the pneumatic cylinder. The cylinder of the pressure clamping element is arranged or fixably stationarily and consists of at least two piston cylinder units with one common piston rod, which piston cylinder units are connected one behind the other.

  • Patent number: 4794692
Abstract: A multipurpose miniature hand tool includes two casings defining an outer housing. A roll of measuring tape, two scissor blades, and an elongated snap-off blade are extendably and retractably mounted within the outer housing. Each of the scissor blades are restricted to be movable only along one of the casings. A cap bolt extends through a lengthwise extending slide slot of each of the casings and through a pivot hole of each of the scissor blades and engages threadably with a nut for fastening tightly the casings and the scissor blades thereon. When the nut is somewhat loosed from the bolt, the nut and the bolt can slide along the slide slots of the casings together with the scissor blades, thereby permitting the scissor blades to extend partially out of the outer housing. At that time, the casings from the movable handles of a pair of scissors.
