Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that may advantageously apply machine learning to accurately manage and predict inventory variables with future uncertainty. In an aspect, the present disclosure provides a system that can receive an inventory dataset comprising a plurality of inventory variables that indicate at least historical (i) inventory levels, (ii) inventory holding costs, (iii) supplier orders, and/or (iv) lead times over time. The plurality of inventory variables can be characterized by having one or more future uncertainty levels. The system can process the inventory dataset using a trained machine learning model to generate a prediction of the plurality inventory variables. The system can provide the processed inventory dataset to an optimization algorithm. The optimization algorithm can be used to predict a target inventory level for optimizing an inventory holding cost. The optimization algorithm can comprise one or more constraint conditions.

Abstract: A receipt capture tool residing on a customer mobile device may be initiated when a customer completes an in-store or online purchase. The receipt capture tool may prompt the customer to capture an image of a receipt detailing a purchase and an item (e.g., product or service) purchased. For instance, the photo of a physical receipt may be taken by the mobile device, or an electronic receipt or email detailing the purchasing transmitted from a physical merchant or online merchant server may be stored. Receipt information may be extracted and saved with other information pertinent to the item purchased, including warranty information. If the customer needs to return or repair the item purchased at a future date, the receipt and warranty information may be subsequently accessed via their mobile device. The receipt and warranty information may also be stored in a searchable database to facilitate easy retrieval by the customer.

Abstract: A system tracks material flow during a production process. In particular, the system receives, from a materials container, a plurality of sensor readings. The materials container comprises a plurality of sensors at one or more intake locations and one or more outlet locations. The system generates an input data set and an output data set from the plurality of sensor readings. The system stores a first electronic ledger entry on an electronic ledger. The first electronic entry comprises the input data set and a time that sensor readings corresponding to the one or more intake locations were taken. The system stores a second electronic ledger entry on the electronic ledger. The second electronic entry comprises the output data set and a time that sensor readings corresponding to the one or more outlet locations were taken. The system generates display data associate with the first and second electronic ledger entries.

Abstract: A method for product compliance includes receiving, at data processing hardware, a planogram defining a representative placement of a product on a display shelf and receiving at least one image from an imaging device having a field of view arranged to capture a top surface of the display shelf. The method also includes determining whether the product is disposed on the display shelf based on the at least one image. When the product is disposed on the display shelf, the method includes determining an actual placement of the product on the display shelf and comparing the actual placement of the product to the representative placement of the product defined by the planogram. The method further includes determining a planogram compliance based on the comparison of the actual placement of the product to the representative placement of the product and communicating the planogram compliance to a network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for collecting item preferences of users at a centralized location and propagating these item preferences to users and merchants in an intelligent manner In some instances, the centralized location is a payment service that functions to both authorize payment instruments of users for costs of transactions conducted at the merchant, and collect and propagate the item preferences to the merchants and the users.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for executing high-speed transaction processing in a parallel processing environment. One embodiment is directed to a computer-implemented method for executing high-speed transaction processing in a processing cluster having a driver and a plurality of executors, each of the executors configured to process data in at least one respective partition. The driver may assign billing transaction data stored on a persistent datastore of a billing system to respective partitions of the plurality of executors for parallel processing. The driver and executors execute operations in which usage factors of the billing transactions are aggregated to generate billable charge information in a format for use by a billing system to generate billing invoices.

Abstract: A method, computing system, and computer program product are provided. Items at a source location are detected and classified, with respect to fragility and perishability, based on characteristics of the each respective item and is performed by trained machine learning models. Item boundaries are predicted based on applying respective data regarding points on a surface of the each respective item to a trained second machine learning model to predict the item boundaries. The each respective item is classified into a respective group with respect to an available volume of the cargo space based on sensor data of the cargo space, the classified fragility and perishability, the predicted item boundaries, and a third machine learning model. An arrangement of the items in the cargo space is determined based on the group classifications and a corresponding destination location associated with the each respective item and is visualized relative to the cargo space.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved packaging detection at self-checkout kiosks by identifying a given bag type for a bag selected at a self-checkout kiosk out of a plurality of bag types available from a bag dispenser associated with the self-checkout kiosk; identifying a weight range for the given bag type; in response to determining that the bag has been moved to a packing area of the self-checkout kiosk, comparing a first weight in the packing area from before the bag was moved to the packing area with a second weight in the packing area that includes the bag; and in response to a difference between the first weight and the second weight falling outside of the weight range, generating a loss prevention alert and pausing a transaction at the self-checkout kiosk.

A door is operably coupled to the cabinet and is operable between open and closed positions. A plurality of storage surfaces is positioned within the refrigerating compartment. Each storage surface is adapted to receive at least one temporarily stored item. A scanning apparatus is adapted to record data related to the storage surfaces and the at least one temporarily stored item. The scanning apparatus conducts first and second data capturing phases. The secondary data recorded during the second data capturing phase is compared against previous data recorded during the first data capturing phase to create a current inventory manifest. The current inventory manifest is compared with a set of predetermined parameters related to the at least one temporarily stored item to selectively provide an output.

The smart card may include a communication interface, a housing, a microprocessor embedded in the housing, a battery for powering the communication interface and the microprocessor, and a nano GPS chip, located within the housing and in electronic communication with the communication interface and the microprocessor. The thickness of the smart card is preferably no greater than 0.8 millimeters (“mm”) and has surface area not greater than 86 mm×54 mm. The method may include determining the location of the smart card in response to a request for a smart card transaction authorization and determining the location of a mobile device associated with a specified user of the smart card. Based on the location of the smart card and the location of the mobile device, the smart card may calculate a location delta between the smart card and the mobile device.

The controller is also configured to receive a light type selection, control the robotic device to display the particular color chip in a display window associated with a type of light source indicated by the light type selection, receive a second selection indicating whether to dispense or return the particular color chip to the color chip deck, and control the robotic device to dispense or return the particular color chip based on the second selection.

Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure facilitates continuing interaction with ongoing transactions in ERP systems. In one embodiment, a system maintains a configuration data specifying transaction types of interest, and a respective set of actions and respective set of data fields associated with each transaction type. The system then monitors transactions performed in an ERP system to identify ongoing transactions of the transaction types. Upon receiving from a user, a request for ongoing transactions of interest, the system sends for display a list of ongoing transactions, a respective set of actions, a respective set of data fields and corresponding current values associated with each ongoing transaction. Upon receiving from the user, data indicating selection of an action associated with a specific ongoing transaction of the list, the system performs the selected action for the specific ongoing transaction in the ERP system.
