Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for configuring and implementing a loan repayment based on transactions output from a merchant POS terminal. In one example, the method may include receiving point-of-sale (POS) transactions from a merchant POS terminal, receiving, via an application programming interface (API), a request to allocate a portion of the POS transactions from the merchant POS terminal to a lender payment account, depositing the POS transactions received from the merchant POS terminal into a merchant payment account during a settlement process, and automatically triggering a payment transaction that pushes the portion of the POS transactions from the merchant payment account to the lender payment account.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for scanning a shopping space. The system pace comprises a locomotion system of a motorized unit, a camera system, and a central computer system. The central computer system is configured to receive motorized unit location information from the locomotion system, the motorized unit location information comprises a plurality of sets of coordinates each associated with a timestamp, receive item identifier instances from the camera system, wherein each item identifier instance is associated with a timestamp, and determine a location for each item identifier instance based on the timestamps associated of the item identifier instances and the timestamps associated with the plurality of sets of coordinates of the motorized unit location information.

Abstract: A cover for an electronic payment terminal having at least one zone to be back-lit. The cover includes at least one part having at least one lower layer and one upper layer assembled during the manufacture of the cover, the lower layer being opaque or semi-opaque and having at least one aperture facing the at least one zone to be back-lit when the cover is mounted on the electronic payment terminal. The upper layer is translucent and covers the at least one aperture in the lower layer.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a machine learning algorithm is used to train a machine-learned model to create a three-dimensional representation of products, with each product mapped into a coordinate in the three-dimensional space. The model selects the coordinates based on the similarity of the product to other products. Coordinates that are closer geometrically in the three-dimensional space represent products that are similar to each other, whereas as the coordinates get further and further away, this implies that the products are less and less similar. This machine-learned model then not only allows for quick analysis of multiple products, as similarity between products or groups of products can be performed using geometric calculations (e.g., cosine distance), but also can then be tied into a three-dimensional representation that can be displayed either on a two-dimensional display or displayed on a three-dimensional display.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for enhancing a merchant product webpage by providing additional content associated with a product being displayed on the merchant product webpage. A product catalog stores product records corresponding to data associated with different products. As a webpage is accessed by a user device, data is extracted from the merchant product webpage. The extracted data is used to identify one or more product records in the product catalog that are potential matches to the webpage. When multiple product records are identified, a remote server is used to access and interact with the webpage separate from the user device. Additional data is extracted from the webpage based on interactions by the remote server with the webpage. The additional data is used to determine a single product record for the webpage. The webpage is modified based on the single product record.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating a media asset for presentation during a consumption session associated with a user profile, and while generating for presentation the media asset, generating for presentation an option to enable a social network profile, associated with a social network and associated with the user profile, to interact with a social network profile of a performer included in a cast of the media asset. In response to receiving selection of the option, an image of a frame of a current scene of the media asset may be extracted, and input associated with the image of the frame may be received. A request to post a message on the social network may be transmitted, toe enable a plurality of devices to access the message via the social network, and the message may comprise the extracted image of the frame and the received input.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices disclosed herein can collect digital witness statements (e.g., on a witness's own mobile device), detect when witnesses are accessing electronic resources during preparation of those digital witness statements, elicit input from witnesses to identify the electronic resources accessed, and detect portions of the digital witness statements that may have been influenced by data procured from those electronic resources. Furthermore, the systems, methods, and devices disclosed herein can generate an indication of consistency between content found in the electronic resources and content found in the digital witness statements so that a degree to which the electronic resources influenced the witness statements can be inferred.

Abstract: A server and the like that can provide an opportunity for a user to confirm purchase of a reserved product, which sends a first message including an object for canceling reservation of a reserved product to a user via a message service, enabled to discriminate whether a message has been read, when the product arrives, cancels the reservation when the object is operated in a predetermined time after the first message is marked as read, determines whether the product is in stock when the object remains unoperated for the predetermined time after the first message is marked as read, finalizes purchase of the product when it is determined that the product is in stock, and sends a second message notifying that the product has been sold out to the user when it is determined that the product is out of stock.

Abstract: Authentication systems and methods using orientation sensor-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives an authorization request from a web server or an electronic terminal. The server then transmits an instruction to the orientation sensor to determine whether the payment card has an orientation that is consistent with a predetermined orientation. When the payment card has an orientation consistent with the predetermined orientation, the server executes a first authentication protocol. However, if the payment card has an orientation that is not consistent with the predetermined orientation, the server executes a second authentication protocol that is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

Abstract: A system and method for computable contracts that includes a contract management system accessible by involved parties, managing a formation stage of a contract document by obtaining object components, assembling a contract object graph from the object components, and committing the contract object graph to post formation execution; and in an execution environment during a post-formation stage, executing the contract object graph where instances of execution include receiving a contract state update, and appending at least one update object component to the contract object graph in accordance with the contract state update. Variations of the system and method may apply peer-to-peer negotiation and execution, use a cryptographic directed acyclic contract object graph, and/or interface with distributed ledgers.

The rate notification unit notifies the device of an exchange rate. The payment controller pays the amount to the device in a currency of a second country. The device includes a display controller and a sales notification unit. The display controller displays on a terminal of a user an amount of payment for purchase of an article in a currency of a first country. The sales notification unit reports to the server the sales information in the currency of the first country. Upon receipt of an image that contains an article, the display controller calculates the amount of payment for purchase of the article in the currency of the first country, and displays the calculated amount of payment on the image.

Abstract: The technology disclosed herein enables configuration and sharing of a coverage map which displays asset data. In various implementations, an asset owner provides access to select portions of asset data, such as vehicle performance data, to an end-user. The asset owner configures a coverage map to display the selected data according to the type of asset data to be displayed, the scope of the data to be displayed, and other map attributes. Once configured, a URL is generated which the fleet operator provides to the end-user.

Abstract: Method and systems for product inventory are described. In one embodiment, an inventory surface unit retains a plurality of products in an unordered state. An inventory identification unit acquires information for an orientation, and location of the plurality of products on the inventory surface unit. The inventory identification unit is disposed above the inventory surface unit. An inventory pick unit is adapted to pick a product among the plurality of products from the inventory surface unit based on the orientation and location acquired by the inventory identification unit. The inventory pick unit is disposed proximal the inventory surface unit, and the inventory pick unit is communicatively connected to the inventory identification unit. Abstract: Methods of detecting scan avoidance events during decode sessions are disclosed herein. An example method includes during a timeout period at one or more processors of the symbology scanner, identifying and decoding a transaction affecting indicia on an object in one or more images to obtain a transaction affecting payload; during the timeout period at the one or more processors, identifying one or more visual features in the one or more images; and in response to identifying a non-transaction affecting indicia associated with the one or more visual features, and failing to identify or decode the transaction affecting indicia, determining a potential scan avoidance attempt and generating a scan avoidance alarm signal.

Abstract: A camera acquires an image of an item involved in an interaction, such as the item being picked or placed on a shelf by a user. The item depicted in the image is identified via item recognition using a customized neural network that uses previously trained subnetworks for a set of candidate items. The candidate items are determined based on items near a user location, items associated with a user cart, items in a shopping list or wish list associated with the user, or items otherwise associated with the user. Each previously trained subnetwork for a candidate item includes one or more reference images and corresponding reference feature data. The customized neural network uses a matching and inference network to test the image against the candidate items and provide comparison data indicative of a similarity between the item depicted in the image and one of the candidate items.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for applying machine learning techniques to dynamically identify potentially anomalous activity of entities. In some implementations, peer group data is obtained. The peer group data indicates multiple entities classified as belonging to a particular peer group, and a set of attributes associated with the multiple entities. Transaction data for the multiple entities is obtained from one or more data sources. One or more transaction models are selected. The transaction models that are each trained to apply a particular set of evidence factors corresponding to the set of attributes associated with the multiple entities, and identify transaction patterns representing potentially anomalous activity. The transaction data is processed using the one or more transaction models to identify potentially anomalous activity within the transaction data for the multiple entities. A prioritization indicator is computed for each entity included in the multiple entities.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating printed tags for use in connection with a heated food item placed into a hot holding unit. System components may include a user interface, a printer, and a controller. The controller is programmed to instruct the user interface to display a prompt for an operator to input information identifying one or more characteristics of a food item positioned within or to be placed into a hot holding unit. The controller receives the information from the user interface and instructs the printer to generate a tag identifying the food item and the time at which the food item is to be removed from the hot holding unit and discarded. The tag may include a display area to display the printed information and a support area with a slit that allows the tag to be supported by a rack of the hot holding unit.
