Abstract: A method for management of financial transactions associated with a funding agreement may include: receiving, at the award information management system and from an awarding organization, details for a funding award comprising an identification of an award recipient, an award amount, and a condition on the use of the award; notifying an award drawdown management system of the award details; identifying a plurality of participating financial institutions to the award recipient; receiving a registration of an account at one of the financial institutions for receiving drawdown funds; communicating an amount of the payment to the fund reporting and analysis system; receiving transaction details from the financial institution having the award recipient's registered account; and providing reports of all transactions in the registered account and any and all optional card accounts with detailed analysis of part transaction, current balances and predictions of future drawdown requests.

Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure facilitates continuing interaction with ongoing transactions in ERP systems. In one embodiment, a system maintains a configuration data specifying transaction types of interest, and a respective set of actions and respective set of data fields associated with each transaction type. The system then monitors transactions performed in an ERP system to identify ongoing transactions of the transaction types. Upon receiving from a user, a request for ongoing transactions of interest, the system sends for display a list of ongoing transactions, a respective set of actions, a respective set of data fields and corresponding current values associated with each ongoing transaction. Upon receiving from the user, data indicating selection of an action associated with a specific ongoing transaction of the list, the system performs the selected action for the specific ongoing transaction in the ERP system.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a code reader includes an interface, a scanner, and a processor. The interface transmits and receives data to and from an external device. The scanner reads a code from an item. The processor extracts a portion of code information obtained from the code read by the scanner and transmits the portion of the code information to the external device through the interface.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is described for performing transaction tracing. The method may include mapping one or more funds flow transactions into each account to one or more funds flow transactions out of said each account based on a first-in-first-out ordering. The method may also include generating an initial graph from the mappings of the transactions for each said account. Furthermore, the method may include transforming the initial graph to a function graph, wherein the functional graph is a directed pseudoforest where each node has an out degree of at most one. Then, the method may include for a node in the functional graph, performing a trace of the transaction generating a set of transactions that contributed to the transaction.

Abstract: A system and method for applications of computer vision in linking users with virtual data that can include detecting digital interaction state of a plurality of subjects in an environment using at least one sensor-based monitoring system; detecting a contextual organization of subjects relative to an operator station; at the operator station, augmenting the user interface based on the contextual organization of subjects which comprises of at least: presenting a set of subject indicators in the user interface with the subject indicators arranged in response to contextual organization, and in response to received user interaction with at least one selected subject indicator, accessing the digital interaction state of the subject associated the at least one subject indicator.

Abstract: Using contactless cards to pay for offline transactions. An application executing on a mobile device may receive, via a communications interface of a contactless card, an account identifier of the contactless card, and transaction data received by the contactless card from a POS device via the communications interface, the transaction data comprising at least an identifier of a merchant account, a timestamp, and an amount of the transaction, a network connection between the POS device and a payment server not available. The application may transmit the account identifier and the transaction data to the payment server via a cellular network connection of the mobile device. The mobile device may receive, from the payment server via the cellular network connection, authorization of a payment for the transaction. The application may generate a graphical indication of the authorization of the payment for the transaction and output the graphical indication of the authorization.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, software, and data structures for product identifier not-on-file imaging system and processing. Some such embodiments include solutions that automate capturing and communicating images of imaged items for which an item identifier (e.g., UPC, DIGIMARC) cannot be located to facilitate correction and updating of product lookup databases to remove inefficiencies and sub-optimal experiences and realization at checkout. One such embodiment in the form of a method includes delivering, to a product pricing update location, an image of an item presented to a product scanner for scanning upon an occurrence of an item-not-on-file event indicating an unsuccessful price lookup database query performed with regard to an item identifier read by the product scanner from the presented item.

Abstract: A method of authentication of a user is provided. The method comprises capturing a brain activity signal from a user; comparing the brain activity signal with reference data; and determining, based at least in part on the comparison, whether the identity of the user can be confirmed. Also provided is a computing device comprising at least one processor and at least one memory. The computing device is adapted to: communicate with a brain activity sensing system to capture a brain activity signal from the user; provide the captured brain activity signal to an authentication service computing system; and authenticate the user based at least in part on the result of a comparison with reference data received from the authentication service computing system. A system comprising the computing device and a brain activity sensing system, and am authentication service computing device are also provided.

Abstract: A method for sharing consumer data with a merchant includes: storing, in an account database at least one account profile, wherein each account profile includes data related to a transaction account including at least an account identifier and a plurality of sharing data values; receiving, from a point of sale device, an authorization request for a payment transaction, wherein the authorization request includes at least a specific account identifier and a sharing request; identifying, in the account database, a specific account profile where the included account identifier corresponds to the specific account identifier; identifying, in the specific account profile, one or more sharing data values of the plurality of sharing data values for sharing to the point of sale device; and transmitting, by a transmitting device, the identified one or more sharing data values to the point of sale device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and methods for making and using an image capturing apparatus for a user to rapidly take and catalogue inventory and equipment. The system is useful for tracking the shelf-life and value of the inventory and equipment. The system allows for the proper setup and function of certain types of the inventory and equipment, and for the recordation and storage of the inventory/equipment information in a computer database.

Abstract: A social network for merchants is described. A payment processing service can receive first merchant information associated with characteristic(s) of a first merchant and second merchant information associated with characteristic(s) of a second merchant. The payment processing service can determine a similarity between the first merchant and the second merchant based on analyzing the first merchant information and the second merchant information with a data model. Based at least in part on the similarity, the payment processing service can associate the first merchant and the second merchant with a merchant group and enable the first merchant and the second merchant to access a service associated with a merchant social network based at least in part on the association with the merchant group.

Abstract: In some examples, a system and method for pairing a payment object reader with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal is described herein. The payment object reader includes one or more light indicators configured to display information in an optical pattern of one or more colors, brightness, lightness, and intensities, wherein the light indicators display a first optical pattern representative of an operational status of the payment object reader in a first mode, and a second optical pattern representative of a pairing code in a second mode. A display control component, executed by a processor, is configured to control the light indicators in accordance with the pairing code to generate the second optical pattern, the second optical pattern when shared with the POS terminal enables pairing between the payment object reader and the POS terminal. When paired, the payment object reader allows the POS terminal to accept payments from a customer.

Abstract: Embodiments for determining a traded item's value are described herein. An embodiment includes identifying conditions for use in computing a value of the tradable object. The embodiment further includes determining whether a condition is satisfied based on market data, for example, and if the condition is satisfied, then determining the value of the item based on a rule associated with the condition; and if the condition is not satisfied, then determining whether a subsequent condition is satisfied. If a subsequent condition is satisfied, then determining the value of the tradable object based on a rule associated with the subsequent condition. An embodiment further includes computing an open profit and loss value based on the item's value. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

Abstract: A central server receives API calls requesting services. The central server identifies whether the API calls are associated with a merchant. A distribution is constructed based on the API calls. The central server further executes a pre-defined rule to identify a set of the API calls belonging to a maximum percentile in the distribution and a set of the API calls belonging to a minimum percentile in the distribution before estimating a set of the anomalous data points with one or more goodness of fit functions against the maximum percentile and the minimum percentile.
