Abstract: A method for producing a medical device, and a medical device are provided, and the production method includes a step of heating a device together with a solution containing a polymer having the following repeating unit (A) and the following repeating unit (B), or a step of bringing a device into contact with a heated product of a solution containing a polymer having the following repeating unit (A) and the following repeating unit (B): (A) a hydrophilic repeating unit; and (B) a repeating unit having a polyoxyalkylene group in a side chain, the terminal of the side chain being composed of an alkyl group having 5 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkanoyl group having 5 to 30 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.

Abstract: A dry lubricant composition in powder form is provided based on a mixture of alkali metal salts of fatty acids and fatty acid glycerides which is useful in the production of aluminium cans in a deep drawing process, wherein the formed aluminium cans are immediately further processed to yield thin inorganic and/or organic protective coatings. Methods of reducing lubricant oxidation and/or corrosion in an internal combustion engine with a lubricating composition comprising a thiol-carboxylic adduct that is the reaction product of a thiol and carboxylic acid and/or a carboxylic acid derivative. The use of a comprising a thiol-carboxylic adduct that is the reaction product of a thiol and carboxylic acid and/or a carboxylic acid derivative to reduce lubricant oxidation and/or corrosion in an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: The present teachings generally provide curable polysiloxane compositions including a base resin including a surface active polymer. Articles of manufacture including the curable polysiloxane compositions and slippery coatings and materials also are provided. The compositions may be used to provide slippery, lubricious, or repellent materials and coatings and may provide anti-fouling function. The compositions can provide anti-fouling or foul-release function on open surfaces, internal surfaces, membranes; to provide pinning free or low contact angle hysteresis surfaces; to provide homogeneous interface to suppress nucleation; to provide a barrier layer such as anti-corrosion; to provide anti-stain, anti-smudge, anti-fingerprint, anti-soil function.

Abstract: A grease composition includes base oil, a thickener, and an inorganic additive. The base oil is a poly-?-olefin having a base oil kinematic viscosity of 15 to 50 mm2/s at 40° C. The thickener is a diurea expressed by Structural Formula (1). The content of the thickener is 10 to 22 mass % with respect to the total amount of the base oil and the thickener. The inorganic additive is a mixture containing sepiolite and bentonite, and is organically modified. The content of the inorganic additive is 2 to 20 mass % with respect to the total amount of the base oil and the thickener.

Abstract: The present invention relates to industrial gear lubricating compositions that include a specific class of substituted triazoles, where the substituted triazole includes at least one hydrocarbyl group linked to one of the nitrogen atoms in the triazole ring. Abstract: Disclosed are compositions including up to 20 wt % of a paraffin inhibiting polymer and one or more non-polymeric glycol ether compounds, wherein the compositions are stable and flow at a temperature between about 0° C. and ?40° C., in many cases between about ?20° C. and ?40° C. The glycol ether compounds are non-polymeric, are liquids at 20° C. (1 atm) and have boiling points over 100° C., in many cases over 200° C. The compositions are useful paraffin inhibitor concentrates for use in the petroleum industry wherein the concentrates are stable, pumpable, and pourable at temperatures as low as ?40° C. and as high as 60° C.
