Abstract: Methods and apparatus for balancing resource utilization as described herein enable the use of distributed allocation architectures with minimal coordination signaling. Among the multiple advantages gained are reduced overhead signaling, greater implementation flexibility, and improved adaptability to changes in the system state. Here, “system state” refers to the subset (16) of servers (12) that are currently available among a set (14) of servers (12) targeted for use in load balancing. Of course, the contemplated methods and apparatus do not foreclose centralization of at least some of the load-balancing operations and associated data management.

Abstract: A cloud based network includes a plurality of nodes, each of which include at least one containerized microservice that enables intent-driven operation of the cloud based network. One or more resource controllers, each designated to manage a custom resource, communicate with a master controller of the node to manage operational and configuration states of the node and any microservices containerized within the node. The master enables a user to monitor and automate the management of microservices and the cloud based network as a whole. The containerized microservice architecture allows user customizable rendering of microservices, reconciliation of old and new versions of microservices, and facilitated management of a plurality of nodes.

Abstract: A method relates to providing arbitrary and custom application traffic generation on network devices. The method includes identifying, via a network controller, an application associated with a network to yield an identified application, spinning up, by the network controller, a traffic generator in a container on a network device, wherein the traffic generator is configured to emulate traffic associated with the network device and the identified application and monitoring performance of at least one of the identified application in the network and the traffic generator on the network device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for measurement of trustworthiness of network devices prior to their configuration and deployment in a network. In one aspect of the present disclosure, a method for pre-configuration of network devices includes receiving, at a dynamic host configuration server, a first request from a network device for configuration data, the configuration data including at least an IP address; sending, by the dynamic host configuration server, a second request to the network device for attestation information; verifying, by the dynamic host configuration server, the network device based on the attestation information; and assigning, by the dynamic host configuration server, the configuration data to the network device upon verifying the network device.

Abstract: A method for reproducing ultra-short media content includes receiving, by a first computing device of a user, media content items associated with the same event or object. Each of the media content items includes self-contained media fragments. The received media content items are generated by two or more different computing devices. The first computing device sorts the self-contained media fragments based on camera angles of the different computing devices generating corresponding self-contained media fragments with respect to the event or object. The first computing device combines self-contained media fragments into a new media content item based on user-specified criteria to generate a multiple-angle recording of the event or object. Each of the self-contained media fragments is received one by one at the first computing device and displayed as the uninterrupted media stream while subsequent self-contained media fragments are being received from the different computing devices.

Abstract: Metadata indicating that a virtual traffic hub enabling connectivity between a plurality of isolated networks has been established is stored. A determination is made that a first entry of a first isolated network attached to the hub is to be represented in a second routing table of a second isolated network attached to the hub, e.g., to enable network packets originating at resources of the second isolated network to be transmitted via the hub to the first isolated network. A new entry corresponding to the first entry is included in the second routing table.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for a single broadband portal where all content may be delivered to users of varied electronic devices. An example embodiment (i) provides a user interface for enabling user selection of media contents per varied electronic devices, each varied electronic device having a respective platform, the user interface indicating one or more different possible media contents; (ii) accepts from a user requests for distribution service to any of the varied electronic devices of the user, the requests specifying a user desired media content; (ii) locates the user desired media content from a plurality of storage modules; (iv) transmits the user desired media content to at least one of the varied electronic devices of the user; and (v) tracks the transmission of the user desired media content for billing purposes.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to dynamically discover and host services in fog servers are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a service manager to determine that a received service request from an Internet of things (IoT) device is not able to be performed locally at a first fog server; a first interface to transmit the service request to a fog resource manager; and a second interface to transmit instructions to the IoT device to transmit the service request to a second fog server, a response from the fog resource manager including service data related to the second fog server.

Abstract: A system for simulating network configurations includes data processing hardware and memory hardware in communication with the data processing hardware. The memory hardware stores instructions that when executed on the data processing hardware cause the data processing hardware to perform operations. The operations includes receiving one or more parameter changes for a production network model of a network. The operations also include generating a simulation network model including the one or more parameter changes. Another operation includes analyzing the simulated network flow within the simulation network model. The operations also include generating a report including an impact of the parameter changes on the network. The operations may also include receiving a production network log including a recorded workflow for the production network model and simulating the production workflow of the production network log within the simulation network model to generate a simulated network log.

Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a system for predicting low-frequency sensor signal predictions using a hierarchical prediction model. The method includes receiving a historical dataset of high-frequency sensor signal data and low-frequency sensor signal data. The method also includes generating a Gaussian process regression model using the historical dataset and sensor parameters and outputting high-frequency sensor signal predictions. The method also includes generating a hierarchical Gaussian process model using the historical dataset and the high-frequency sensor signal predictions and predicting low-frequency sensor signal predictions.

Abstract: A content joint editing method according to an embodiment of the inventive concept may preserve the real-time property of update of edits as much as possible even if the number of editors increases when multiple editors simultaneously edit content. A content editing method can share and edit various contents without calling a separate external application in an online collaboration service. A content sharing method can manage each user's access rights to a content in individual content units in collaboration service that displays a plurality of contents at the same time in the collaboration space for sharing contents among multiple users.

Abstract: A compliance management system generates an enterprise data schema based on a compliance regulation. The system monitors interactions over a network with resources subject to the compliance regulation to generate interaction data sets. The system processes the interaction data sets against the enterprise data schema to categorize at least some of the interactions to trigger events associated with the categories, generate corresponding to the events, and track a compliance metric for each of the tasks generated. The system updates the enterprise data schema based on the compliance metric and the interaction data sets.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method with associated feature capabilities for analyzing and resolving tickets raised in an IT environment. The system monitors health of multiple assets included in the environment and in case an alert is triggered, the system further analyses the alert and provides a recommendation on conversion of the alert to an incident ticket. The incident ticket can also be reported manually by human. Such tickets are then categorized based on certain influencing factors. To this end, a best possible resolution for each incident ticket is then recommended. Subsequently, automatic resolution scripts are identified intelligently and automatically to resolve the problem.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein described are directed to methods, apparatuses and computer program products configured for managing software product feature and version releases in complex and distributed network systems. Various embodiments are directed to systems and network frameworks that are configured to provide controlled release of software features/changes through admin user notification and control interfaces. In some embodiments, a sandbox system environment may be provided to admin users to test and configure upcoming software features/changes. Additional example embodiments provide a release track system that specifies and manages feature release schedules in a complex and multitenant cloud network environment.

The social networking system receives a request to create a collection of one or more content posts of the multiple content posts, where the request includes a descriptor associated with the collection. The social networking system generates the collection of the one or more content posts including the descriptor, and provides the collection to a second group of user accounts.

Abstract: The present technology addresses a need in the art for a closed-loop automation system of a managed network that detects and fixes an issue in the managed network with minimal to no human intervention. The closed-loop automation system employs a domain-independent semantic machine reasoning engine as an underlying engine. After detecting the issue in the managed network, the system searches through a knowledge base to find a match for the detected issue. The knowledge base includes previously collected knowledge from subject matter experts and maintenance teams. The system then proposes a remedial action to a user of the managed network for approval. After approval by the user, the system implements the remedial action.
