Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for a transaction system supporting universal ticket solutions for transportation. A fund managing device determines whether a first fund of an account of a user has sufficient credit to satisfy a transportation fee imposed by a first city. The account of the user includes separate funds for different cities, where the funds include credit in different national currencies. An account managing device determines whether other funds of the account of the user have additional credit to satisfy the transportation fee imposed by the first city when the first fund of the account of the user does not have sufficient funds to satisfy the transportation fee imposed by the first city. A financial managing device determines costs for transferring credit to the first fund from the other funds of the account of the user.

The mobile wireless device monitors its location and sends location and vehicle related information to the central system. The central system compares data from the third party provider and the mobile wireless device. The mobile wireless device or the central system take an action based on the comparison, such as toll payment or vehicle inspection site operations.

Abstract: An interactive rapid response Internet accessed air travel management system. The system includes a web-based planning and reservation interface system and an interactive access device. The system responds to details of a member's desired travel, to thereafter act in real time to contact the domains of associated travel service providers to arrange for every aspect of the member's trip, from airline and hotel reservations, ticket issuance, and ground transportation, to restaurant and theater reservations, and any other travel related needs of the member. The system stores identification information to verify access device possession to prohibit unauthorized use of the system and to provide security pre-clearance to system members.

Abstract: A mainframe computing system includes a central processor complex, a plurality of billing entities, each billing entity having a respective capacity limit, and a workload manager that schedules work requested by the plurality of billing entities on the central processor complex and tracks, by billing entity, a rolling average of millions of service units. The mainframe also includes a dynamic capping policy that identifies a maximum MSU limit, a maximum cost limit, a subset of the plurality of billing entities, and, for each billing entity in the subset, information from which to determine a MSU entitlement value and cost entitlement value. The mainframe also includes a dynamic capping master that adjusts the respective capacity limits of the subset of the plurality of billing entities at scheduled intervals based on the dynamic capping policy to favor billing entities having high-importance workload within the maximum MSU limit and maximum cost limit.

The system notifies a recipient of the package delivery through a device of the recipient, and in response to receiving one or more responses to the notification, causes the UAV to allow access to the package being delivered.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a delivery of an item being shipped are described using a wireless node network having at least an ID node related to the item being shipped, a mobile user access device operative to function as a master node, and a server. The mobile user access device adapted to function as a master node in the network receives shipping information from the server. The shipping information is related to the item being shipped and an identification of the ID node. The mobile user access device then detects a signal broadcast from the ID node as the ID node comes within a communication range of the device. The ID node and mobile user access device are then associated to acknowledge the delivery of the item. Thereafter, the mobile user access device operating as the master node notifies the server about the acknowledged delivery.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, non-transient media, and methods are described that use a removable scanning sensor node for managing a load operation related to a container. For example, the method has the scanning sensor node identifying an item to be shipped within the container and mapping the space within the container after the item has been placed within the container using the node as temporarily disposed within the container and oriented to map the container's space from above the space. The method then has the scanning sensor node determining an occupied capacity within the container based upon mapping data associated with the mapped space and transmitting a notification to a managing node in communication with the removable scanning sensor node. The transmitted notification relates to the occupied capacity within the container as determined by the scanning sensor node.

The method includes identifying one or more vehicle identification parameters of the vehicle associated with the detected parking violation. The method includes determining a penalty for the vehicle with the identified one or more vehicle identification parameters. The method includes transmitting the determined penalty to a user-computing device of a user associated with the vehicle with the identified one or more vehicle identification parameters, wherein the user is imposed with the penalty.

Abstract: A method and apparatus provides a customs review system for building a customs approval database and system suitable for reviewing and verifying values and/or commodities of product parcels passing through customs. The customs review system can receive and store a stock keeping unit (SKU) for a product parcel in the customs approval database. The customs review system can also receive a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) related to the SKU and automatically associate the SKU with the URL in the customs approval database. In response to associating the SKU and the URL, the customs review system can make the product parcel as pre-approved or rejected for shipment to customs. The customs review system can search the customs approval database for the SKU of the product parcel and validate or invalid the product parcel being submitted for shipment and importation based on the search.
