  • Patent number: 9923959
Abstract: An edge server node comprises an edge server, a DNS, and a load controller. The DNS is assigned to a layer of edge server nodes where each layer of edge server nodes has a DNS anycast IP address for the DNSs of that layer and a FQDN for that layer. The DNS either handles or offloads requests to resolve the FQDN for the assigned layer to balance the load on the edge server. A request is offloaded by returning the FQDN for another layer. The load controller monitors the load on the edge server and directs the DNS to offload requests to reduce the load on the edge server.

  • Patent number: 9917767
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, computer storage device, and storage area network for maintaining a communication path from a host to a storage subsystem in a network. A storage subsystem controls data transfer and access to a storage devices in a network, wherein the storage subsystem is coupled to a switch and the switch is coupled to a host in the network. A topological storage is coupled to the host, the switch and the storage subsystem, for storing a topological coupling relationship between the host and the switch and a topological coupling relationship between the switch and the storage subsystem. • Patent number: 9912629
Abstract: A network node enables a wireless device to communicate with a local service device, such as a printer or a projector, of a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The network node is connected both to a communication network and to the LAN or WLAN. The method includes identifying a multicast Domain Name System (mDNS) request, where the mDNS request is received from the wireless device, and assigning a LinkLocal (LL)-address for the wireless device. The method retrieves a local IP-address of an Authentication and Authorization Service (AA-S) having authorization information regarding a local service device, and authenticates, with the AA-S which type of services, that the wireless device is authorized to use. A local IP-address of the local service device is retrieved, and service data is conveyed between the wireless device and the local service device, by applying the LL-address of the local service device.

  • Patent number: 9900240
Abstract: A node apparatus calculates the arrival rate in a link, discretizes the calculated arrival rate according to thresholds that are set so that the intervals between thresholds in the range in which a large number of the arrival rates in the links with a high frequency of usage exist become narrower, and calculates the link cost according to the value after the discretization. The node apparatus then obtains, from adjacent node apparatuses, the route cost for each route to each final destination that may be reached, and integrates the obtained route cost by the calculated link cost to calculate the route cost to each final destination that can be reached from the local node apparatus via the adjacent node apparatus. The node apparatus then selects the adjacent node apparatus to be the transmission destination according to the route cost of the route to the final destination of a data frame.

  • Patent number: 9894682
Abstract: A radio communication base station device can efficiently obtain a multiuser diversity gain from frequency scheduling while reducing the amount of a reference signal occupying an uplink. In the device, a grouping section divides a plurality of RBs (Resource Blocks) into a plurality of RB groups. An RB group control unit performs a control to change the correspondence relationship between the RBs and the RB groups with time. When the grouping section divides the RBs into the RB groups, the RB control unit performs a control to change a combination of the RBs included in each of the RB groups with time. A scheduling section performs a scheduling of allocating each of a plurality of mobile stations to each of the RBs in each of the RB groups according to the reception quality of the reference signal.

  • Patent number: 9893849
Abstract: In a base station, a control unit and a data size regulation unit control the data size of downstream assignment control data and upstream assignment control data in the PDCCH signal based on the communication format used between the base station and a terminal, the number of base station antennas (M) (nonnegative number), the number of terminal antennas (N) (nonnegative number), the bandwidth of the downstream band, and the bandwidth of the upstream band. Specifically, the control unit determines it is unnecessary to adjust the aforementioned data size when the selected communication format is first established between multiple antennas and when where there are multiple for one of M and N and only one for the other. The quality of downstream assignment control data is prevented from degrading, while preventing the number of blind determinations from increasing on the receiving side of the downstream control channel signal.
