  • Patent number: 8168895
Abstract: Provided is a multilayer printed wiring board in which multiple via holes that connect a first power supply wiring with a second power supply wiring are aligned in a line in parallel to a direction along which current flows. In order to prevent current from being concentrated on the via hole connected to a farthest end of the power supply wiring among the via holes, a narrow portion between the via hole and the via hole is narrowed to increase a resistance. A narrow portion that is narrowed is disposed similarly at a farthest end of the power supply wiring of the second conductor layer.

  • Patent number: 8139367
Abstract: Disclosed is a torsion spring mechanism that supports and guides a flexible printed circuit for use in an electronic device with a sliding motion. The spring mechanism includes a first segment and a second segment that are joined by a torsion spring. The torsion spring has a predetermined spring constant and is capable of exerting a force. When the force of the torsion spring is unreleased the sliding housing is closed and when the force of the torsion spring is released the sliding housing is opened. An electrically conducting flexible printed circuit is at least partially supported by both the first and second segments while freely traversing the torsion spring length with an unsupported portion enough to provide adequate movement of the flexible printed circuit about the torsion spring length. In this way, a spring compartment within the device being approximately 5 millimeters in depth may support and protect the unidirectional torsion spring mechanism and flexible printed circuit.

  • Patent number: 8077473
Abstract: A lever assembly for use with electronic modules has a handle lever with a self-sprung cantilevered handle section. The cantilevered handle section can be flexed with respect to the non-cantilevered portion of the handle lever during module insertion to automatically engage a catch that prevents the handle lever from inadvertently or accidentally being released and unseating the module. Once the flexing force is removed, compression of the handle section remains at the catch, such that the handle section continues to apply leverage force in the closure direction to hold the module securely in place.
