  • Patent number: 11529172
Abstract: A fertility kit for performing self-insemination, comprising a package with three sets of sterilized disposable syringes and collection jars. Each fertility syringe comprises: an outer rigid tubular barrel and an inner plunger. The barrel comprises a curved distal end with a small circular distal opening, and a sealed proximal end, and an inner hollow tube housing the plunger. The barrel's proximal end also comprises two opposing circular members to fit a user's fingers; and a plunger flat end fitting in-between. The plunger distal end has a has a funnel-like shape that fits into the barrel curved end to push all the semen out while preventing a backflow. The collection jar comprises a sealable lid, and an inner surface comprising smooth seamless edges. Fresh or frozen, unwashed semen is deposited into the jar, pulled into the syringe, and administered cervically during a user's maximum monthly level of luteinizing hormone.

  • Patent number: 11478608
Abstract: A rigidizing device includes an elongate flexible tube, a braid layer positioned over the elongate flexible tube, an outer layer over the flexible tube and the braid layer, and an inlet between the elongate flexible tube and the outer layer and configured to attach to a source of vacuum or pressure. The braid layer has a plurality of strands braided together at a braid angle of 5-40 degrees relative to a longitudinal axis of the elongate flexible tube when the elongate flexible tube is straight. The rigidizing device is configured to have a rigid configuration when vacuum or pressure is applied through the inlet and a flexible configuration when vacuum or pressure is not applied through the inlet. The braid angle is configured to change as the rigidizing device bends when the rigidizing device is in the flexible configuration.

  • Patent number: 11357540
Abstract: A port fixation device is disclosed and includes a body portion and a plug. The body portion includes a circular portion, a first tab, and a second tab. The circular portion defines an aperture which is configured to allow a surgical access port to extend therethrough. The first tab and the second tab are disposed in mechanical cooperation with the circular portion. Movement of the first tab with respect to the second tab from a first position to a second position causes a diameter of the aperture to change from a first size to a second size. The first size is smaller than the second size, and the first position of the first tab is its rest position. The plug is disposed in mechanical engagement with the body portion, and has sufficient elasticity to remain engaged with the body portion when the first tab is in the first position and in the second position.

  • Patent number: 11351344
Abstract: A rigid hollow tubular adapter releasably attached at a longitudinal nozzle end to a flexible tube during equine nasogastric intubation comprising an annular sleeve having a stationary tubular member and a slidable tubular member. The slidable tubular member is delimited at its ends by the stationary tubular member and a detent member disposed between an equine reflux drainage hole and a longitudinal mouthpiece end. Operator's puffs of airflow through a mouthpiece urges the slidable member to slide toward the detent member closing the equine drainage hole to enable passage of medication into the equine stomach. Equine reflux urges the slidable tubular member to slide toward the stationary tubular member opening the reflux drainage hole to divert equine backflow downwardly through the equine backflow drainage hole preventing passage of equine reflux into the operator's mouth.

Abstract: An injection device comprising a housing (12) and a dose selector (16) to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device. A spring (20) coupled to the dose selector stores energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. A ratchet (25) arrangement is provided to rotationally couple a ratchet component and an internal surface of the housing in a coupled state and to allow relative rotation between the ratchet component and the internal surface of the housing in an uncoupled state. An over-torque feature (27) located between the dose selector and the spring is actuatable, when the rotation of the dose selector causes the charging force to exceed a defined limit, to reduce the charging force transferred from the dose selector to the spring. Both the ratchet component and the over-torque feature are provided on a single component (28).
