  • Patent number: 6618931
Abstract: There are provided a fixed-scroll moveable device which is capable of moving a fixed-scroll of a scroll compressor in the directions of an X axis and a Y axis, and an orbiting-scroll revolution compensation device which is capable of revolving an orbiting-scroll in a &thgr; direction by way of a main frame. An optimum angle of the fixed-scroll relative to the orbiting-scroll and an optimum wrap clearance are determined at the same time while orbitally moving the orbiting-scroll. Thereby, alignment of a scroll compression section is performed in a short time with a high precision including positioning of a rotating direction of the fixed-scroll relative to the orbiting-scroll.

  • Patent number: 6615487
Abstract: A base material of a peripheral wall and a vane rotor is formed by extrusion molding an aluminum alloy and cutting an extrusion molded article to the desired length. Further, the extrusion molded article can be molded with high accuracy by extracting the aluminum alloy after extrusion. Preferably, 6000 system of Al—Mg—Si is used as an aluminum alloy. The cutting process and polishing process are applied to the roughly molded base material to form the peripheral wall and the vane rotor. By varying the length to be cut, the volume of each retard hydraulic chamber and each advance hydraulic chamber are adjusted. When the volume of the hydraulic chambers are adjusted, the torque for relatively rotating and driving the vane rotor with respect to the housing member can be changed even pressure of working oil is the same.

  • Patent number: 6615488
Abstract: An improved method for producing a basic B tube configuration for a folded heat exchanger tube (26). A braze clad metal strip (10) having inner (1) and outer (0) surfaces and a opposed edges (12) is progressively formed over and in by a series of progressive roller stations (14A, 16A-14J, 16J) until the lower edges (12) on a pair of central abutting flanges 18 centrally engage the strip inner surface (1). Between two of the roller stations (G and H), a powered dispense valve (20) with nozzle (22) continuously dispenses a bead (24) of material containing flux or, alternatively, flux and braze material. Bead (24), rather than being a thin stripe, is a thick semi cylindrical shape, with substantial viscosity. As the flanges (18) move into abutment and the downstream roller stations, the flange edges (12) are forced down into the bead (24), some of which is pumped up between the outer surfaces (0) of the abutted flanges (18), yielding a good, solid braze joint between the two.

  • Patent number: 6594896
Abstract: Residual stress generated in strip metal W is removed by annealing the strip metal W which has gone through a pressing process, and a compressing process is implemented thereafter whereby, as portions hardened due to work-hardening (in particular, folded portions 121) can be softened, the strip metal W which has gone through the pressing process can be easily compressed so that the radius of curvature of the folded portions 121 is reduced to a predetermined dimension, thereby making it possible to improve the dimensional accuracy of the finished fin 120 even if the fin 120 is made of a metal having a relatively high hardness (stainless steel).

  • Patent number: 6595907
Abstract: A heat roller for a fixing device included in an image forming apparatus has an insulation layer and a conductive layer sequentially formed on the inner periphery thereof. To form each of the insulation layer and conductive layer, a spray gun is inserted into the heat roller. Subsequently, paint, which is a liquid for forming the insulation layer or the conductive layer, is fed under pressure to the spray gun. The paint is radially jetted via the holes of the spray gun and evenly deposits on the inner surface of the heat roller. In this condition, the spray gun is moved in a preselected direction in order to coat the entire inner periphery of the heat roller. After the insulation layer has been formed and then sintered, the conductive layer is formed on the insulation layer and then sintered. The two layers can be formed in a short period of time and provides the heat roller with high quality at low cost. A method of producing the heat roller is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6588104
Abstract: During the assembly of a steam generator, the boiler columns are assembled, and, in parallel, headers and other wall boxes are assembled on booms of the boiler columns, so that when the boiler columns are completed, the headers and wall boxes are also finally assembled. Next, the peripheral roof section is assembled onto the boiler columns, and the vertical steam generator-containing walls are suspended from the peripheral roof section. Parallel to this, the inner roof section is constructed and the convection heating surfaces are successively mounted to the inner roof section and lifted upward from the base. The assembled inner roof section and convection heating surfaces are then lifted to the height of the peripheral roof section, and the two parts of the roof are connected. Finally, the furnace walls having a vertical or inclined tube arrangement, including the furnace hopper, are assembled.
