Abstract: In a print server for digital high-capacity printing systems, print jobs are received, processed with predetermined application processes, and relayed to one or more printers. A method to operate the print server can include monitoring, using a collect trigger, status parameters which describe system statuses; and triggering, using trigger logic, filters to reading additional status parameters that include process statuses of application processes executed at the print server. The triggering of the filters can be based on whether the system statuses monitored with the collect trigger represent an extraordinary or abnormal operating status.

The determining section determines the content of the memo data pieces received at the same time among the memo data pieces with the identifier assigned by the identifier assigning section. The meeting minutes creating section creates meeting minutes with the memo data pieces combined in accordance with the determination results by the determining section. The output controlling section performs control operations to output the meeting minutes created by the meeting minutes creating section.

Abstract: An extension computing device connects to a multi-function printing (MFP) device to enable additional functionality and capabilities to support the MFP device. Print jobs and other tasks may be performed in the extension computing device so that the MFP device addresses more important tasks in real time. The extension computing device receives and processes a print job without the need to engage the MFP device or its engine. The print job then may be stored in the extension computing device until it is printed on demand by the MFP device. Other applications also may be located in the extension computing device. An extension engine performs tasks to determine when to process the print job in the extension computing device. The extension computing device includes a processor, a print job manager, a storage, an operating system, and input/output capabilities.

Abstract: To preserve job integrity and minimize multi-site coordination overhead such as shipping, a technique to control the amount of outsourcing activities in a distributed manufacturing environment is provided. This approach to multi-site scheduling allows outsourcing control for distributed cellular manufacturing based on scheduling constraints called outsourcing group constraints.
