Abstract: Disclosed herein a system, a method and a device for selecting between a primary link and a secondary link for AR/VR applications. A console can provide a VR/AR session to a user through a head wearable display. The console can determine that a first measurement of a primary link between the console and a head wearable display is less than a first threshold. The first measurement can include a quality metric of the primary link. The console can activate a secondary link between the console and the head wearable display. The console can determine whether a second measurement of the primary link between the console and the head wearable display is less than a second threshold. The console can transition when the second measurement is less than the second threshold, traffic on the primary link to the activated secondary link.

  • Patent number: 11432171
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems, methods and computer implemented instructions for resuming virtual computing sessions. A first device detects a disconnection via a primary communication channel from a server hosting a virtual computing session. The first device identifies a second device paired with the first client device. The first device transmits a request to enable a hotspot function of the second client device. The first device receives an indication that the hotspot function of the second client device is enabled. The first device resumes, in communication with the second device, access to the virtual computing session hosted by the server via a secondary communication channel through the hotspot function of the second device.

  • Patent number: 11431621
Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the separation of functions associated with a User Plane Function (“UPF”) in a wireless network (e.g., a Fifth Generation (“5G”) network), such that routing devices associated with the wireless network may perform functionality that would otherwise be performed by virtualized hosts or other configurable resources. For example, routing components which form a backhaul or other portion of the network may process traffic according to a suitable set of policies (e.g., Quality of Service (“QoS”) policies, content filtering policies, queueing policies, and/or other policies) instead of transmitting such traffic to a UPF associated with the network core for processing.

  • Patent number: 11399322
Abstract: Methods, User Equipment, UE, (120) and source network node (111) for resuming a Radio Resource Control, RRC, connection to a target cell in a wireless communications network (100). The UE generates a security token using a set of input parameters, and sends a resuming request with the security token to a target network node (112) serving the target cell. When receiving the resuming request, the source network node generates a security token using a set of input parameters in the same manner as the UE. If the received security token is successfully verified when compared with the generated security token, the source network node provides to the target network node a UE context of the UE, to enable the target network node to resume the RRC connection.

  • Patent number: 11356990
Abstract: The present invention provides a resource allocation method and device. The method includes: sending, by a base station, a resource allocation parameter to a terminal, where the resource allocation parameter includes a starting narrowband index and a resource position, where the starting narrowband index is used for indicating a narrowband resource and/or a wideband resource for the terminal to establish a physical shared channel. The embodiments of the present invention solve the problem in existing art that resource allocation for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)/physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) only considers a bandwidth limitation of a 1.4 MHz narrowband so that a user equipment (UE) cannot support machine type communications (MTC) applications with a higher data rate, achieving an effect of being capable of supporting MTC traffic with a higher data rate.
