  • Patent number: 11389685
Abstract: An exercise machine with resistance selector system for selecting the number of bias members applying a resistance force against a movable platform. The exercise machine with resistance selector system generally includes one or more switches which are connected to the movable platform. Each of the one or more switches is adapted to engage or disengage a corresponding latch. When engaged, the latch will connect a corresponding bias member to the movable platform. When disengaged, the latch will disconnect a corresponding bias member from the movable platform. In this manner, an exerciser may easily adjust the number of bias members connected to the movable platform so as to adjust the resistance force applied against movement of the movable platform along a rail.

  • Patent number: 11369840
Abstract: A device is described that can effectively increase the range of motion of a jaw of a patient to address physiological conditions that involve restricted range of motion of the jaw of the patient. The device can be used to apply opposing forces to the maxillary and mandibular teeth, which can stretch the temporomandibular joint and mandibular muscles, which in turn can aid in opening of the jaw. Furthermore, the device includes a spring, which is configured to be stretched when the patient performs mastication motions. Such stretching of the spring dynamically applies varying amounts of force on the jaw depending on the position of the jaw during the entire range of motion of the jaw, and severity of the physiological condition such as trismus. Such dynamic force requires the jaw to perform different amounts of work at various positions, which aids in the opening of the jaw.

  • Patent number: 11298580
Abstract: A resistance harness that allows 360° of resistance around the body and in any plane of motion (sagittal, transverse, frontal, oblique). The strap design allows rings to slide from anterior to posterior or medial to lateral. The rings enable concentric, eccentric, or isometric resistance. This sliding ability allows for resistance to be constant in one direction or changeable. As the ring slides under tension, the muscular recruitment needed to resist will change as the force angle of the ring slides and changes position around the body.
