Abstract: A rail-track display box includes an outer casing having a pair of elongated sliding tracks indented along two top edges of two parallel side walls of the outer casing respectively. An inner casing has a pair of guiding tracks indented on two outer surfaces of two side panels of the inner casing respectively. A cover has a pair of sliding pegs inwardly formed on two inner surfaces of two parallel side cover panels respectively and a pair of guiding pegs downwardly formed on two bottom edges of the side cover panels respectively. The cover is adapted to frontwardly slid to a display position that the sliding pegs are stopped at two front blocked ends of the sliding tracks respectively and the guiding pegs are stopped at two front stopped ends of the guiding tracks respectively, so as to open the rail-track display box for displaying the product.

Abstract: An open-ended container for holding dental instruments includes a body and a lid. The lid is configured to close the container when the lid is placed over the open end of the container. The lid is also configured for stabilizing the container in an upright position when the lid is placed over the bottom of the container. The lid is flared and generally provides greater support to the container for standing upright than does the bottom of the container. A piece of tape is used to seal and reseal the lid on the container. A foam material (e.g., open cell foam) housed within the container is used to hold dental instruments. A disinfecting solution contained within the container disinfects any dental instruments held therein.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for packaging combinations of complementary items are disclosed. A combined package according to the invention includes a first container containing a first item and a second container containing a second item that complements the first item. A packaging material at least partially surrounds both the first and second containers, thus holding the first and second containers in mutual abutment. The containers can be shaped and positioned relative to one another such that the combined package has an overall shape that is generally rectanguloidal and suitable for palletization. Apparatus and methods for manufacturing such combined packages are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and package for storing a pressurized container which is filled with a drug formulation at a predetermined pressure. The drug formulation includes a mixture of a drug and a propellant. The package which encloses the pressurized container substantially prevents ingression of water vapor and particulate matter into the package while permitting egression of the propellant which may leak from the pressurized container.

Abstract: A contact lens case containing design asymmetries sufficient to allow the ready distinction of the left and right wells by touch alone, but also containing optical asymmetries sufficient to aid in the distinction of left and right wells under poor vision conditions. Asymrnetries include large tactile asymmetries, such as curvature of the case; small tactile asymmetries, such as raised symbols; and grossly visible asymmetries, such as different well lid designs. The present invention also provides structural enhancements that improve the durability of the case and facilitate lens removal and insertion. Furthermore, the cases are manufactured in a variety of colors and designs, allowing the wearer to customize the cases in order to readily distinguish between different cases and, consequently, between different pairs of lenses.

Abstract: A quarter displaying and teaching device for displaying commemorative Unites States quarters that depict the seals of the individual states. The quarter displaying and teaching device includes a panel having a front side and a peripheral edge. A plurality of indentations extends into the front side. Each of the indentations has a circular shape and has a diameter equal to a diameter of a quarter and adapted for removable receiving one of a plurality of quarters. The quarters are frictionally held in their respective indentations. A flag indicia is positioned on the front side. The flag indicia comprises a United States flag having fifty stars thereon. Each of the stars has one of the indentations therein.

Abstract: A MD, CD and magnetic disk box structure includes a connecting plate having a first side provided with a first box, and a second side provided with a second box. The first box has a peripheral face having a determined height, and the second box has a peripheral face having a determined height, so that the fist box and the second box may be combined to form a closed state.

Abstract: A cup carrier is described which has an integrally formed body portion having a base, walls and four cup-holding openings, wherein two of the cup holding openings define a first pair and two cup holding openings define a second pair, and the first pair of cup holding openings is provided at a first level relative to the base, and the second pair of openings is provided at a second level from the base which is higher from the base than the first level. The openings in one pair of the cup holding openings can be differently sized than the cup holding openings in the other pair to accommodate different sizes of drink cups.

Abstract: An improved shuck for drying a paintbrush of the type having a back panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, a pair of side panels, and a pair of front flaps together defining a chamber having an open top, and a fastener. The improvement includes each of the back panel, the front panel, the pair of side panels, and the pair of front flaps having an air-permeable screen mesh portion for facilitating the drying of the paintbrush. The improvement further includes a top flap having a top portion selectively closing the open top of the chamber and a front portion. The improvement further includes the fastener being a snap having a male portion extending from the front portion of the top flap and a female portion extending from the front panel and selectively engaging the male portion of the snap.

Abstract: A lockable media storage box includes a base and a lid connected to the base with at least one hinge. The base and lid include elements that cooperate with a locking to allows the lid to be locked in the closed position. In one embodiment, the lock is received in the concave opening disposed at the front of the storage container. The lock may be unlocked with a special key or may be unlocked by destroying portions of the lock that are designed to be destroyed. In another embodiment of the invention, a sliding lock is carried by the container. The sliding lock may be carried inside the container or on the front wall of the container.

Abstract: A card gripper cap for a container is provided having one end releasably connectable to a container and an opposing end having a slot formed by adjacent flanges for receiving a display card. The flanges are interposed by fingers having hooks at their exposed ends for gripping or extending through the display card. The cap further has a piercer for perforating a product seal over an opening in the container and a nozzle releasably connected thereto.

Abstract: The invention concerns a CD case comprising a base (1), a lid (2) and a false bottom (3) comprising a housing (31) for the disc (5) with a broad edge (33) raised on the side of the lid articulation. A window (35) is provided in the edge (33) for an indicator (4) to be urged into the housing (31) of the disc (5) to actuate it so to indicate the presence of the disc in the box.

Abstract: A security device for preventing theft of a disk such as a CD or DVD from a storage container having a base and a hinged lid, a pedestal including a button having retainers thereon that retract when the button is depressed for releasing the disk, and a wrapper holding the container closed. The device has a cap member and rearwardly extending flange and stem members. Release of the disk from the pedestal and removal of the disk through a slit made in the wrapper is blocked by the cap member preventing depression of the button, the flange member also positively holding the disk on the pedestal when the lid is deformed against the device. Preferably the device is releasably retained in a seated condition when the lid of the container is open. Also disclosed is a method for securing a disk container.

Abstract: An receptacle and a blank for forming a receptacle carrier for packaging fragile articles includes a plurality of side wall panels hinged together to form a collapsible upright tubular structure for receiving an article and article support structure at the lower end of the tubular structure for supporting the article. The support structure has a plurality of displaceable strips secured together such that when the tubular structure is erected from a flat collapsed form, the displaceable strips are automatically displaced into the tubular structure to form the supporting structure.

Abstract: A storing and transporting system for compact discs (“CD's”) for recorded audio materials and related accessory materials such as notebooks or booklets comprising an outside case of flat, clamshell configuration defining two storage areas, and one or two box-like disc containers of similar configuration to be nested in the storage areas and each having a tray-like body for holding a stack of discs in flexible storage envelopes. Guides and partitions in the case define the two storage areas and hold the stored items snugly therein, and the containers have removable retainers for holding a selected number of disc envelopes therein. Integral recessed latches hold the covers releasably in closed positions, and the case and the container are sized to receive and hold preselected numbers of discs and booklets of related materials so as to be highly versatile in use, and are provided with convenient label areas.
