Abstract: Disclosed is an ophthalmic lens storage container comprising: a container body including a lens storage portion having a cavity for storing a lens and a preserving solution, and a flange surrounding the cavity; and a cover sheet stripably sealed to the flange in a sealing zone that extends around the cavity to thereby fluid-tightly seal the lens storage portion. The flange of said container body includes an insulating portion located radially outward of an open-end peripheral portion of the cavity, extending circumferentially and includes a shoulder surface that extends in a first direction opposite to a second direction along which the cavity is exposed, and the sealing zone is located radially outward of the insulating portion of the flange.

Abstract: A temporary packaging method and a resultant package are provided for comprising temporarily bonding containers on a flat base member to stabilize the containers for further packaging, the method comprising the steps of providing a base member, providing containers, temporarily bonding the containers to the base member with a hot melt adhesive, advancing the base member with containers through the packaging or handling system so that further processing of the containers may optionally be effected, encapsulating the base member and bonded containers with a plastic shrink film to complete the package, followed by release of the containers from the bond to base member within minutes after shrink wrapping, with the adhesive remaining bonded to the base member.

Abstract: The tray comprises five independent parts which with the suitable construction and attachment to each other define the base (1), side walls (2) and end pieces (3), with the part corresponding to the latter provided with extreme extensions provided in each case with the folding line which gives rise to sectors (8), (9), (10), (11) and (12) which fold so that they superimpose on each other in an enveloping manner, forming triangular-prism shaped reinforcements at the corners, which reinforcements are provided, on either side of the corner and in correspondence with the upper edge of the corners, with ridges (15) complementary of slits (5) of the bottom of the tray, in order to stack the trays on each other. The syringe is filled with a selected gas and sealed inside a container made from a high gas barrier material. The container is also filled with the selected gas. The container material is selected to have a gas transmission rate sufficient to prevent the selected gas from diffusing out of the container into the atmosphere. The volume of gas in the container is greater that atmospheric pressure to prevent atmospheric contaminants from entering the container and syringe.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pallet container with a thin-walled inner receptacle preferably made from thermoplastic material for the storage and transport of liquid or free-flowing goods, wherein the plastic container is closely surrounded by an outer cage jacket of crossed hollow bars which are configured with dimples by means of which bending points in the cage jacket are established so that when the pallet container is subjected to drops from certain heights, the cage jacket incurs a plastic deformation, thereby preventing fracturing or tearing of the hollow bars from the cage jacket.

The rotating seat is provided with a series of retaining slots and insertion slots in communication with the retaining slots. The insertion slots are corresponding in location to the urging blocks. The retaining slots are used for keeping the turning parts of the hand tool. The turning parts are caused to move upward along the inclined faces of the urging blocks so as to jut out of the retaining slots at the time when the rotating seat is turned in relation to the base.

Abstract: An interlockable film frame carrier has central and peripheral portions for securely storing a film frame, the film frame supporting a film, a semiconductor wafer disposed on the film. The central portion has structure for supporting the semiconductor wafer and for allowing access to a lower surface of the stored film frame. The peripheral portion of the film frame carrier includes structure for supporting a peripheral portion of the film frame and matable stacking members. When the film frame is stored, two film frame carriers are interlocked by mating the stacking members. A permeable cover is sealed to the flange of the inner container covering the inner container cavity; and an outer cover is sealed to the flange of the outer container covering outer container cavity to form a double sterile implant container assembly.
