Abstract: Combined packages including a plurality of complementary containers are disclosed. A first such container is a first generally rectanguloidal container that contains a first item and a second such container is a second generally rectanguloidal container that contains a second item that is different from and complementary to the first item. A packaging material at least partially surrounds each of the containers, thus holding the container in mutual abutment. A combined package can also include an adhesive between the containers that holds a face of the first container and a face of the second container in mutual abutment. To facilitate palletizing the combined packages, the overall shape of the combined package can be generally rectanguloidal. The first container can have a plurality of faces, each of which is generally coplanar with a respective face of the second container. Apparatus and methods for manufacturing such combined packages are also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a rotary container with separable nail files, which comprises an upper plate, a lower plate, a file plate rotatably interposed between the upper plate and the lower plate, and a rotary hub inserted through the upper plate, the file plate, and the lower plate. The upper plate has a separation opening extending radially outward from a center of the upper plate. The file plate includes a plurality of file pieces partitioned by a plurality of cutting lines, and each of the cutting lines extends radially outward from a center of the file plate. Each of the file pieces has such a dimension as to be completely exposed through the separation opening, so that each of the file pieces can be pulled up and separated from the file plate through the separation opening. The file plate comprises a base sheet, a cushion sheet attached to one surface of the base sheet, and a file sheet attached to the cushion sheet, the file sheet practically functioning as a nail file.

Abstract: A multi-layered child resistant blister package having blister packaging that retains an article. A single blank sheet has first and second opposing side edges and first, second, and third score lines that are parallel to the first and second opposing side edges. The opposing side edges and score lines delimit a back panel, first and second intermediate panels, and a top panel having at least one blister receiving pocket. The first intermediate panel is folded onto the back panel about the first score line. The second intermediate panel is folded onto the first intermediate panel about the second score line. The top panel is folded onto the second intermediate panel about the third score line. A cavity through which the article passes is defined at least by the first and second intermediate panels. The back panel includes a tear away panel positioned remote from an outer periphery of the package.

Abstract: An elongated packaging device is provided for packaging at least one disc-shaped media such as a CD-ROM or DVD, together with a cup-type beverage container of the kind typically having a cover with a central straw opening. The packaging device includes a cylindrical lid adapted to receive and retain a disc-shaped media, which cylindrical lid is then engaged to the beverage container. The lid includes a cylindrical support structure disposed on the upper surface thereof defining central support for the disc media by means of the annular opening at the center of the disc, such that the disc media is allowed to rotate, while limiting the linear movement of the disc media. The cylindrical support structure includes an opening so as to allow the passage therethrough of a straw. The lid also includes an annular shelf around the perimeter thereof, the inside diameter of which is larger than the outside diameter of the disc media, and the peak of which is coplanar with the peak of the inner structure.

Abstract: A portable storage assembly includes a central support structure and a container assembly comprising a storage container and a cover member. The container assembly is movable between access and storage positions with respect to the central support structure. When the container assembly is in its access position, the storage container is in its access position and the cover member is movable into its open position and when the cover member is in its closed position, the container assembly can be moved into its storage position in which the storage container is in its storage position with respect to the central support structure. The central support structure holds the cover member closed when the container assembly is in its storage position. A locking assembly releasably locks the container assembly in its storage position. A handle is connected to the central support structure for carrying assembly.

Abstract: A packaging device is provided for packaging at least one disc-shaped item such as, for example, a recording media disc such as a CD, a CD-ROM or a DVD. The packaging device includes a first member which is attached to a storage device used for the storage of materials other than the disc-shaped media. The chamber includes means for maintaining the disc media in a stable state within the chamber, including a structure defining support for the disc media such that the disc media is allowed to rotate, while limiting the linear movement of the disc media both perpendicular to and parallel to the plane of the media. Said structure may include at least one projection thereon, said projection being adapted to retain the disc-shaped media on the structure. An optional shoulder element may also be provided, said shoulder element extending from the inner surface of the first member and being adapted to separate the disc-shaped media from the inner surface.

Abstract: A cigarette package with incorporated matches including a container dimensioned for containing a quantity of cigarettes therein. The container has an open upper end, a closed lower end, a front wall, a rear wall, and opposed side walls. The front wall has a lower front foldable cover with a flap. The rear wall has a cover member foldably secured thereto for selectively covering the open upper end. One of the opposed side walls has a match striking surface disposed thereon upwardly of the closed lower end. A match protector is layered between the front inside wall of the container and the matches providing space for the lightable match tips and for container rear wall cover member to uniformly close upon. An upper set of matches are removably coupled with the front wall of the protective insert downwardly of the open upper end. Each of the upper set of matches has a lightable tip. A lower set of matches are removably coupled with the front wall of the container downwardly of the upper set of matches.

Abstract: A kit for holding and displaying coins and paper money. Each sheet for holding coins has two overlying clear vinyl sheets and a third backing sheet. The front sheet has a slit used to insert or remove a coin and is formed in the cover sheet to retain a coin. Behind the clear cover sheet is a display page sheet with indicia thereon that when properly aligned with the cover sheet displays information relating to the coins. The display page for paper money has sheets for holding the paper money and flaps with snap fit seals to protect the paper money.

Abstract: A welding electrode wire coil and a method of making the same comprises embedding the inner end of the electrode wire between adhesively bonded convolutions of a wound core made of paper to secure the wire end thereto. The coil is completed by winding the wire about the core and then lacing a cord about the core and the coiled wire thereon in a diamond stitch lacing pattern to retain the coiled wire on the core prior to use. The lacing is provided with a slip knot to facilitate its release relative to the coiled wire and core.

Abstract: A screwdriver holder includes a base plate and a bracket detachably mounted on the base plate. The base plate includes a hole defined in an upper portion of the base plate for hanging the screwdriver holder on a suitable place and an connecting portion formed near a bottom of the base plate. The connecting portion is adapted to partially receive the annular lip of the handle of the screwdriver. The bracket is detachably mounted on the connecting portion and adapted to partially receive the annular lip of the screwdriver to hold the screwdriver in place on the screwdriver holder.

Abstract: The invention relates to tubular packaging, especially for dry food stuff, which contains the product in a plastic tube that is closed by welding, whereby the packaging comprises a tearing aid which is located in the area of a weld seam. The packaging is also provided with a label whose side facing the weld seam is configured as a curved tearing edge which is suited for intercepting a tear, said tear starting from the tearing aid, and for guiding the same to the edge of the packaging.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for enhancing the mixing of foam precursors in foam-in-bag precursor systems, to thereby enhance the quality of the resulting foam. The apparatus comprises a heated chamber for storing bags containing the precursors in separate compartments, an opening for dispensing the heated bags, and mechanical agitators for externally agitating the bag containing the separated foam-forming precursors to mix the precursors and form foam. Also, a foam cushion packaging precursor is disclosed and comprises such a heated bag.

The packaging device comprises a first member having a center column for its upper portion and a means for receiving and retaining the other materials as its lower portion, which first member is slidably inserted through the opening of and into the chamber of an elongated second member. A cover is provided to close the opening of the second member, thereby sealing the contents of both members. A central support structure for the disc media acts in combination with the annular opening at the center of the disc media so as to allow the disc media to rotate, while limiting the linear movement of the disc media. The absorbent part of the neurosurgical sponge is often referred to as a cottonoid by those skilled in the art. The aforementioned grooves or channels keep the strings tangle-free and the cottonoids immediately accessible. The cottonoids rest within the trough. Immediately preceding or during neurosurgery, the trough can be filled with a wetting solution, usually saline.
