  • Patent number: 4591543
Abstract: A method of purging an excess of a liquid developer in an electrophotographic apparatus including the steps of pressing an electrophotosensitive film formed with an electrostatic latent image against an opening of a developing chamber to close the opening, supplying the liquid developer into the developing chamber to toner-develop the electrostatic latent image, discharging the liquid developer, and supplying gas under pressure into the developing chamber to purge the liquid developer remaining in the developing chamber as well as excess of the liquid developer attaching to the electrophotosensitive film. In the method, the flow rate of the gas at the surface of the electrophotosensitive film may be changed according to a predetermined time chart so that the excess of the liquid developer remaining after the process of development can be quickly purged without degrading the picture quality.

  • Patent number: 4583489
Abstract: A xerographic system which makes two, or more, copies for each exposure by developing the image twice. This can be done by either providing two developing, drying and transfer stations within the system, or by reversing the direction of the exposed plate so that it is processed twice by these stations. This technique is possible because a large part of the image remains on the plate after the first development cycle.

  • Patent number: 4581098
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of forming a trench pattern in a ceramic green sheet for subsequently filling with a conductive paste resulting in a fully inlaid conductor pattern therefrom. Starting with a green sheet, a high contrast ink drawing of the desired conductor pattern is formed thereon. The drawing may be formed by direct printing on the green sheet or by first printing it on a flexible substrate such as paper and then transferring by xerography to the green sheet. Next, the green sheet is illuminated with an intense noncoherent light source to cause a high degree of absorption of the light energy by the inked areas and volatilization of the green sheet binder material thereunder, thereby forming a trench pattern conforming to the drawn pattern.

  • Patent number: RE32033
Abstract: In an electronic component manufacturing system, slices are transported in serial fashion between a plurality of work stations. As the slices move through the system, each work station performs a separate manufacturing operation on each slice. The manufacturing operations are performed in immediate succession and within the same time interval so that the slices are processed rapidly and so that slices do not accumulate between the work stations. The slices are maintained in sequence through the system so that the operation of the system is more easily controlled.
