Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for displaying additional or targeted content to a user are disclosed. An image or data capture device associated with a display device may capture an image of a space associated with the user or capture data related to what is being viewed by the viewer's eyes. Objects in the captured image or objects being viewed may be recognized, including any identifiable image, item, detail, or article and the like. A recognized object may then be compared to a target list to determine a match. If matched, and if there is additional content associated with the target object, the additional content may be presented to the user.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including obtaining media content and an identification of a plurality of points of interest in the media content, receiving a request from a user to view the media content, obtaining information about the user, identifying one or more highlight points based on the information about the user, presenting the media content to the user, and monitoring the user's consumption of the content, determining a field of view of the highlight point, and presenting a guide indicator in the field of view of the user to provide information about the highlight point. Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for the detection of a mobile device to identify user preferences. An embodiment operates by detecting that a mobile device is within a vicinity of a computing device. A user ID that corresponds to the mobile device is identified. The user ID is provided to an application over a network, wherein the application identifies one or more preferences associated with the user ID. The one or more identified preferences are received from the application. The computing device is configured based on the one or more identified preferences associated with on the user ID, responsive to the detection.

Abstract: Methods, devices, systems and computer program products facilitate accessing metadata associated with a primary audio visual content. Upon reception of a primary content, one or more watermark messages are extracted from the primary content obtain a server code and an interval code. A query to a metadata server is initiated based on the information obtained from the extracted watermark messages. In response to the query, service recovery information is received that includes information identifying one or more timed events, where each timed event identifies an operation to be performed at a corresponding instance in time as the primary content is being presented by the receiver device. One or more operations identified the timed events are initiated at the corresponding instance(s) in time.

Abstract: A method includes accessing, at a first client device associated with a first user account on a media hosting service, a content item provided by the media hosting service. The method further includes receiving an input of a first user associated with the first user account to modify metadata of the content item. A modification of the metadata comprises at least one of an obscuration, removal, or replacement of the metadata. The method also includes obtaining an identifier of the content item. The identifier of the content item indicates the modification of the metadata of the content item. The method furthermore includes sending, to a second client device associated with a second user account on the media hosting service, the identifier of the content item to cause the content item to be presented on the second client device with the modified metadata.

Abstract: A media presentation and distribution system includes a verification server that handles dynamic verification of playback of media assets on a client device. The client device receives an asset stream of media assets that comprises one or more tags embedded in the media assets. The client device detects an asset identifier associated with each of the media assets during playback of each media asset on the client device, based on identification of a tag of the one or more tags. The verification server verifies the playback of the media assets on the client device based on received support information from the client device. The playback of the media assets are verified to satisfy defined asset delivery criteria and to identify and debug a deviation or one or more errors with the playback of the media assets.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for minimizing delay time for controlling media content capture during live video broadcast production. The system includes a video production receiver that receives media content streams from one or more cameras that includes live media content captured by the cameras and encoded in a first encoding format. Moreover, a multi-view interface displays the media content and a video production controller generates control instructions based on inputs to the interface to change operation of the cameras capturing the respective media content. A camera controller is included that transmits the generated control instructions to the cameras to change the operation for capturing the respective media content. An example apparatus includes memory including first instructions that, when executed, cause at least one processor to access media to be provided to a client device, embed advertisement markers and metadata generated in association with the media into a media file, and provide second instructions and the media file to the client device. The second instructions cause the client device to update a multi-file counter with an offset based on a duration of the first media segment, detect that a second media segment is a segment of the multi-segment media based on the media file, add a determined playback time to the multi-file counter to determine a corresponding playback time of the multi-segment media, and attempt to lookup a metadata tag and corresponding playback positions based on the playback time of the multi-segment media.
