Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a pixel region including a plurality of pixels, and bias wiring laid on a light incident side of pixels to supply a bias from a power supply to the pixels in the pixel region via a second side defining the pixel region. The bias wiring includes first wiring portions and second wiring portions laid around the pixels. The first wiring portions are laid in a Y direction away from the second side, and the second wiring portions are laid in an X direction orthogonal to the Y direction. The first wiring portions include a light non-transmissive member. A resistance of the first wiring portion per pixel is smaller than that of the second wiring portion per pixel. A loss of light due to the second wiring portion is smaller than that of the light incident due to the first wiring portion.

  • Patent number: 11366052
Abstract: In one aspect, the present teachings provide a system for performing cytometry that can be operated in three operational modes. In one operational mode, a fluorescence image of a sample is obtained by exciting one or more fluorophore(s) present in the sample by an excitation beam formed as a superposition of a top-hat-shaped beam with a plurality of beams that are radiofrequency shifted relative to one another. In another operational mode, a sample can be illuminated successively over a time interval by a laser beam at a plurality of excitation frequencies in a scanning fashion. In yet another operational mode, the system can be operated to illuminate a plurality of locations of a sample concurrently by a single excitation frequency, which can be generated, e.g., by shifting the central frequency of a laser beam by a radiofrequency. The detected fluorescence radiation can be used to analyze the fluorescence content of the sample, e.g., a cell/particle.

  • Patent number: 11353597
Abstract: A method for radiation dosage measurement includes: (1) exposing a plurality of single-poly floating gate sensor cells to radiation; (2) measuring threshold voltage differences between logical pairs of the exposed sensor cells using differential read operations, wherein the sensor cells of each logical pair are separated by a distance large enough that radiation impinging on one of the sensor cells does not influence the other sensor cell; (3) determining whether each logical pair of exposed sensor cells is influenced by exposure to the radiation in response to the corresponding measured threshold voltage difference; and (4) determining a dosage of the radiation in response to the number of logical pairs of the exposed sensor cells determined to be influenced by exposure to the radiation. A non-radiation influenced threshold voltage shift may be measured and used in determining whether each logical pair of exposed sensor cells is influenced by radiation exposure.
