Abstract: An anaerobically curable composition having a good stability and suitable for use primarily as an adhesive, which comprises a radically polymerizable acrylate and/or methacrylate monomer, and a naphthyl azoxine. The composition is satisfactorily stable even if a large amount of an inorganic filler is used therein.
Abstract: A styrene polymer is stabilized by incorporating into said styrene polymer(A) a hindered piperidine compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms,R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, andR.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and(B) a benzotriazole compound selected from the group consisting of 2-(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazole and 2-(2-hydroxy-3-tert-butyl-5-methylphenyl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole.
Abstract: Curable flame retardant mixtures of a polyolefin (non-rubbery), a polyphenylene ether resin, an aromatic phosphate, a brominated compound or polymer, and a crosslinking agent are described. Abstract: Dibenzodioxaphosphepin and dibenzodioxaphosphocin derivatives are prepared by reacting selected 2,2'-biphenols with phosphorus trichloride in an organic solvent and then reacting the intermediate formed with a 1,4-dihydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidine. The phosphites formed are useful as stabilizers of organic polymers and lubricating oils, especially as process stabilizers for polyolefins, elastomers, polyesters and polycarbonates.
