Abstract: The present invention extends to a band having ribbing on both ends. The exterior surface of the band can include high quality printed content. The ribbing allows the band to be easily shortened equally at both ends so that the printed content can remain centered on the band after shortening. The band can be used as a wristband, belt, collar, or any other type of band to be worn on the human or pet body.

Abstract: An article having a surface bearing patterned indicia having micro-structures. A surface is provided with contrasting micro-structured features that form perceptible indicia or pattern having a recognizable pattern in reference to a background surface. The background surface is a micro-structured surface, on which perceptible indicia having the recognizable pattern of micro-structures are formed. The pattern of micro-structured features includes raised and/or recessed structures with respect to the substrate surface. The micro-structured surface includes irregular prisms forming structural features or topography within a plane of longitudinal rows of regular prisms. The indicia in reference to the background plane are perceivable, without requiring contrasting colors between the indicia and the background.

Abstract: Provided are a device and method for rapidly and efficiently labeling wires or cables to be installed in machinery, vehicles, computers, buildings, or other structures, whether the wires are new installations or are replacing presently existing wires. In particular, the invention is a multi-sectioned wire-label which adheres to a wire and is self-protective, thus reducing the likelihood of damage to the label during the wire-installation process. The invention also describes multiple storage forms for pluralities of the wire-label, and a method for use of the wire-label itself.

Abstract: A collectibles display case includes a durable frame, a front window, a rear window, and a placeholder. The front window includes a picture-frame type transparent front securely attachable to a front inside location of the frame. The back window includes a transparent back window similar to and removably located opposite the front window. The placeholder includes a corresponding pair of flat, durable frame-shaped mats with exterior perimeters of the same shape as the frame. The pair of mats each has a central rectangular opening. The placeholder is securely and removably mounted within a middle portion of the frame between the windows. The rectangular openings allow a packaged collectible having a thickness, such as a blister packed item to be “sandwiched” between the frame components and viewable housed between the windows.

Abstract: A display device including a stand adapted to display a screen. The stand includes a holding member with a first side adapted to support against an underlying supportive surface. The display device also includes a cassette including a bobbin enclosed in a cavity in the cassette, wherein the screen can be wound onto and withdrawn from the bobbin. The cassette is being adapted to be inserted into and removed from the holding member via an aperture in the first side. The holding member also includes at least one fastener adapted to fasten the cassette in the holding member when inserted into the holding member.

Abstract: A swatch and sign holder includes a base, a sign and a cover. The base includes a front face having a front surface, a back surface and at least one through slot extending from the front surface to the back surface. The sign includes a front surface, a back surface, at least one through slot extending from the front surface to the back surface and indicia printed on the front surface of the sign. The back surface of the sign engages into contact with the front surface of the front face. The cover secures the sign to the front face of the base. Each through slot of the front face and each through slot of the sign align with each other to receive a fabric swatch.

Abstract: An identification plate designed to be bonded to the wall of an object requiring protection, such as a computer, providing identification and/or recovery information for the said object if it is lost or stolen, comprises first information about the object which is located on a first plate and second information about the object which is located on a second plate, and is characterized in that the second plate is located in a window provided within the first plate, and that the level of protection for the second information is greater than that for the first information.

Abstract: A labeling band assembly comprising a web of a tag material and an elastic film, where the web of the tag material has a central portion coated with a release agent disposed between a pair of lateral edge portions that are free of the release agent. The elastic film has a first portion at least partially disposed over the release agent and second portions bonded to the lateral edge portions to define connection zones. The labeling band assembly also comprises perforations extending along the web to define a plurality of labeling bands.

Abstract: A series of self-standing and portable advertising displays include a hollow base with access to its interior that may be filled out with a solid or liquid material in order to add weight to the displays. By a combination of common elements as lateral supports, connecting unit, lower and upper corners units, advertising support frame and hollow base advertising displays having tower shaped structures of different polygonal sides are easily assembled. The obtained display uses tongue and grooves as well as key-hole mechanisms to fastening and secured different components of the structure.

Abstract: A fluid vortex display device includes a cylindrical vessel sealed at an upper end. A first fluid inlet is coupled to the cylindrical vessel adjacent a lower end of the vessel and directed at a substantial angle to an outer circumference of the cylindrical vessel. A discharge outlet of a pump is coupled to the fluid inlet. A closure is coupled to the lower end of the vessel. The closure includes a fluid outlet that is substantially spaced apart from a central longitudinal axis of the vessel. The closure may project into the cylindrical vessel to create an annular space adjacent the fluid inlet. The fluid outlet may be in the upper surface of the closure, which may not be perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the vessel. A support stand may support the vessel such that it is not perpendicular to a level foundation surface.

Abstract: Disclosed is a displayed device having a top and bottom elongate rail and a display module for displaying alpha numeric information to passengers on a mass transit vehicle. The display modules may be mounted along a top and bottom edge directly to the top and bottom elongate rails. End caps are mounted to the ends of the elongate rail forming a structurally sound frame about the display module.

Abstract: A foldable display device includes a first display panel which displays a portion of an image; a second display panel which displays a second portion different from the first portion of the image; a first protecting window on the first display panel; a second protecting window on the second display panel; and a flexible material layer between the first and second protecting windows. Side surfaces of the first and second protecting windows which contact the flexible material layer, respectively, are inclined with respect to a surface of each of the first and second protecting windows.

Abstract: An environmentally friendly single sheet calendar is provided, which includes a single sheet of printed material having first and second opposed edges and first and second opposed faces. A non-metallic, biodegradable binder is disposed along the first edge, with the binder including a rigid bar and a securing element for coupling the rigid bar to the first face of the single sheet. The securing element may, for example, include a layer of adhesive for adhesively coupling the rigid bar to the first face. The adhesive may, for example, be heat activatable.

Abstract: A wristband assembly comprising a wristband strap, a permanent adhesive supported by a first portion of the strap and adapted to secure the strap into a loop, and a temporary adhesive supported by a second portion of the strap. The wristband assembly can further include a liner positioned over the permanent adhesive, and preferably also over the temporary adhesive. The wristband assembly can also include a perforation between the second portion of the strap and the first portion of the strap to facilitate removal of the second portion. In this way, the second portion can act as a redeemable tag. After the tag has been removed and redeemed, the promoter can stick the tag to a tally sheet to organize the tags into groups of a defined number. The tally sheets can then be counted to determine the number of redeemed tags, without the need to count each tag.

Abstract: A multipurpose sign base suitable for supporting temporary signs includes an upstanding mast supportable atop a support surface by a substantially horizontally extending, elongate, support member rigidly connected to a lower region of the mast, and by a plurality of elongate leg members of adjustable length each having an upper portion movably connected to a central region of the mast, and each having a lower portion movably connected to a different foot adapted to engage a different area of the support surface at locations arrayed about the mast. An upper region of the mast is connectable to a sign to support and display the sign. The legs and feet have retracted positions near the mast. A rearwardly extending formation of the horizontal support member can be coupled to a vehicle hitch so the sign base also can be supported on a vehicle for transport while displaying a sign.

The second band element body is greater in length than the first band element body and includes a hole for receiving the first band element body. The band includes a coupling mechanism that detachably connects an outer sidewall of the first band element body to the inner sidewall of the second band element body, e.g., to allow the two band elements to be selectively disconnected and reassembled without tools. The coupling mechanism includes a first coupling component extending along the outer sidewall of the first band element and a second coupling element extending along the inner sidewall of the second band element such that the two band elements are connected along the periphery of the hole.

Abstract: A label with a raised structural feature is for an injection device and includes a flexible support layer which, on one face, is provided at least partially with one or more of the raised structural element. The raised structural element is designed in such a way that, when the label is applied to a container of the injection device, the raised structural element is directed away from the container, and the raised structural element is able to establish a form-fit connection with another structural element, for example another structural element of the injection device. The label is formed by a method including steps of providing the flexible support layer and applying at least one raised structural element onto the flexible support layer.

Abstract: A sign for the displaying of a number of characters in either a first orientation or at least one additional orientation. The sign includes a frame and a series of characters, including at least one variable position character, mounted to the frame. The variable position character is movable relative to the frame such that it may be read in different positions, to display a message when the variable position character is either in a first orientation or a second orientation. The variable position character may be interconnected with the frame via a pivoting mechanism for adjusting the orientation of the variable position character. The pivoting mechanism may include a latching mechanism that secures the variable position character in a selected orientation. The characters may each include a source of illumination, such as LEDs, that are interconnected with a power supply for selectively illuminating the LEDs.

Abstract: An adjustable sign frame and a method of using the same are provided. The adjustable sign frame has a main support rod and an adjustable hanging bar. During use, the main support rod and hanging bar are substantially parallel with respect to one another. Further, the main support rod and hanging bar are substantially identical in length. A plurality of wires may be used to hang the main support rod to the ceiling. A plurality of support clamps attached to the main support rod may temporarily hold the hanging bar which may have a retail sign attached thereto. Pegs on the hanging bar may allow a user to adjust the overall location of the retail sign hanging from the main support rod with respect to the ceiling.

Abstract: A self-expanding display unit (1) comprising at least one display sheet (3, 5) of a substantially rigid and foldable material having a display face (7,9), a biasing means for bending the display face of the display sheet into a substantially convex shape, and bracing means (2) acting against the biasing means to limit the amount by which the display sheet (3, 5) bends. The display sheet comprises a plurality of panels, delimited from adjacent panels by crease lines. The bracing means (2) comprises a single, substantially rigid and foldable bracing sheet (2) having a plurality of bracing panels (50), each of which is delimited from an adjacent bracing panel by a fold line (52). The fold lines (52) and the crease lines are coincident with each other. Such a device is stable in operation and is efficient to use and manufacture.
