Abstract: When a legitimate recipient of a package or tenant loses a card issued to him or her for unlocking a particular locker of a locker cabinet, there is a problem that he or she cannot unlock the locker to open the same and pick up a package of merchandise deposited in the locker. An unlock system of a particular locker wherein a person who desires to unlock a particular locker makes contact with a control center to that effect through a communication line such that the control center authenticates personal identification of the person by calling said person at home, and the control center accesses a memory of the locker through the communication line to confirm that said locker is deposited with a package of merchandise therein and then, the control center unlocks the locker through the communication line.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a main body having an upper surface, and a display part which opens and closes with respect to the main body. The display part in a closed state is stacked on the upper surface of the main body and forms a generally flat parallelepiped shape together with the main body. The parallelepiped shape has a top surface, a bottom surface, and side surfaces forming an outer periphery of the parallelepiped shape. The main body has a first sloping surface joining the bottom surface and at least one of the side surfaces.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling access to a plurality of drawers, in one embodiment being tool dispensing apparatus (10) comprising a housing (12), a plurality of drawers (26) within the housing (12), each drawer for storing one or more tools, and a control system (14-22, 34-50) for controlling access to the drawers (26). Preferably, the apparatus (10) comprises a plurality of drawer trays (28) located in the housing (12) and on each of which one or more drawers (26) is located. The drawers are preferably divided into compartments and a control mechanism for providing access to appropriate compartments is disclosed in detail.

Abstract: A display unit is provided which is configured to be installed in a front surface of a door of a refrigerator such that its installation angle can be adjusted. That is, an installing structure is provided for a display unit of a refrigerator for tiltably installing the display unit in the front surface of a door of the refrigerator. The installation structure includes an accommodating portion recessed into the front surface of the door for receiving the display unit, a supporting device for supporting both sides of the display unit so that a vertical tilt of the display unit can be adjusted within the accommodating portion, and a fixing device for securing and supporting the display unit, which has pivoted on the supporting device, at a predetermined tilted position. One advantage is that an installation angle can be adjusted so that a user can view clearest scenes on the display unit at the installation angle.

Abstract: A penetration resistant window includes a penetration resistant layer sandwiched between exterior and interior transparent sheets. The perimeter of the penetration resistant layer extends from the perimeters of the exterior and interior transparent sheets in a direction plane parallel with the planes of the transparent sheets. This extension allows the laminated window sheets to be mounted in a window frame such that the perimeter of the penetration resistant layer is secured within a channel in the frame, preferably by an adhesive such as silicone glue. The penetration resistant window is useful in architectural, residential and institutional applications for resisting debris penetration during hurricanes.

Abstract: A modular furniture system has a number of variously configured work surfaces, a number of variously configured support members, variously configured hutch units, and a number of couplers. At least two support members and a work surface are arranged and coupled together to construct a work station. The work surfaces have at least three sides with at least two of the sides being adapted to releasably couple with one of the support members. The support members may include leg supports and storage cabinet supports, each of which are adapted to couple with and support a work surface above a floor. The hutches are adapted to removably rest upon a work surface or a storage cabinet support member. Further, the hutches, the work surfaces, and the support members may be provided with cable passages to facilitate use of electronic equipment at a work station.

Abstract: A raised floor system which includes a plurality of upright support columns, a plurality of floor panels, and a cable tray support assembly. The cable tray support assembly includes a plurality of support pedestals and a platform section. Each support pedestal has an elongated stringer member, a first upright sleeve member, and a second upright sleeve member. Each first and second sleeve member defines a bore extending from a top end through a bottom end. The stringer member is attached to the sleeve members proximate the respective top ends of the first and second sleeve members so that the elongated stringer member is supported above the respective bottom ends of the first and second sleeve members. At least one of the first and second sleeve members of each first support pedestal is removably connected, in overlying registration, to the body portion of one support column of a pair of support columns. One platform section is suspended from the stringer members of a pair of opposing first support pedestals.

Abstract: A support structure for supporting a concrete placing boom above a work site. The support structure includes a support mast having a generally smooth outer surface. The support mast receives an adapter that can be removed from one support mast and attached to another. The adapter includes a mast receiving portion having a pressure coupling for holding the adapter in contact with the outer surface of the mast. The adapter further includes a boom attachment portion that allows the pedestal of the concrete placing boom to be securely attached to the adapter. The adapter includes a central guide pin that is received within a guide opening formed in a top plate of the support mast. The interaction between the guide pin and the central opening on the mast aids in guiding the adapter onto the mast.

Abstract: A beach umbrella with lamps is provided with receiving trenches lengthwise on each of the ribs thereof, and the ribs each has several spaced through holes communicating with the trench. Several of the lamps are each connected to one of branches of a conductive wire. The wires are placed along the ribs, and the branches are each passed through one of the through holes with the wires and the lamps being arranged on two opposing sides of the ribs; when the trenches are formed on bottom of ribs, the lamps can be closely received in the trenches with most of the weight being supported by the wires held on the ribs, therefore the same can't possibly fall off even when the umbrella is being stretched or folded.

A handle is formed as part of one of the links to assist with the over-center movement. The base is adapted to nest against similar bases for compact storage, and includes two feet with low-height flat ends that lie close to a floor surface so that they do not objectionably interfere with mating furniture nor with a person's feet when using the table.

Abstract: A housing for devices to be disposed along trunking, projecting from a wall includes a frame which is attached to the wall to form the housing for the device, an opening along one side which adjoins the trunking and a canopy which extends from the frame in corresponding relationship with the opening to cover the trunking locally and transversely. The canopy has a mobile part provided with two parallel arms which are slidably mounted inside the frame so that the mobile part of the canopy can be located relative to the frame telescopically in a series of predefined stable positions corresponding to different widths of trunking.

Abstract: A transportable medical cart includes a frame assembly and a plurality of panels removably mounted on the frame assembly including a horizontal top panel, a pair of side panels and a pair of extension panels. The side panels are movable from a retracted position wherein the side panels are disposed in parallel planes perpendicular to the top panel to a non-retracted position wherein the side panels are disposed at an angle to the planes. The extension panels are movable from a non-extended position wherein the extension panels overlap the side panels in the retracted position to an extended position wherein the extension panels are horizontally aligned with the top panel. The side panels in the non-retracted position support the extension panels in the extended position. A plurality of drawer assemblies are removably mounted to the frame assembly, each including a slide rail and a drawer supported on the slide rail.

Abstract: A floor standing lectern includes a single, unitary, continuous shell formed of a plastic material and having an integral and continuous exterior wall comprised of top, front, side, rear and bottom walls which collectively enclose a hollow interior cavity. The top wall has a support surface to support a lecturer's notes, and a perimeter which substantially comprises a rounded edge joining the top wall to the side, front and rear walls. The front wall faces an audience, and has a height sized to extend substantially from the floor to at least the top wall. The front wall has a perimeter which substantially comprises a rounded edge joining the front wall to the opposite side walls.

Abstract: A foldable table has a plastics table plate, a hoop-shaped frame, four corner seats disposed on four corners of the hoop-shaped frame, and four leg tubes. Each leg tube is disposed on the corresponding corner seat. A center panel is disposed on the plastics table plate. The plastics table plate has a periphery flange and a periphery channel. Four square blocks are disposed on four corners of the plastics table plate. Each corner seat has a groove and an elastic blocking angle bar. At least a connection bar is connected to the corresponding corner seat and the corresponding leg tube. At least a connection plate is connected to the corresponding elastic blocking angle bar and the corresponding leg tube. The hoop-shaped frame is inserted in the plastics table plate. Each square block is inserted in the corresponding groove of the corner seat.
