    Abstract: The present invention is a fitting system with a graphical interface with specific interface screens for specific functions. Methods and devices for fitting a visual prosthesis are described. In one of the methods, threshold levels and maximum levels for the electrodes of the prosthesis are determined and a map of brightness to electrode stimulation levels is later formed. A fitting system for a visual prosthesis is also discussed, together with a computer-operated system having a graphical user interface showing visual prosthesis diagnostic screens and visual prosthesis configuration screens.

The device is adapted to provide electrical stimulation as per stimulation protocols and to communicate wirelessly with a companion control device configured to monitor and record appetite patterns of the patient and deliver titrated therapy. The control device is also configured to monitor, record, and modify stimulation parameters of the stimulation protocols.

A memory may be configured to store a first modulation field parameter for generating the first modulation field and a second modulation field parameter set for generating the second modulation field to modulate a targeted location within the test region. The second modulation field parameter set is programmable for modulating other targeted locations. The controller may be configured to control the neuromodulation generator to use the first modulation field parameter set to deliver the first modulation field and to use the second modulation field parameter set to deliver the second modulation field.

An implant magnet fits within the magnet receptacle and has opposing end surfaces, and a center body region located between the end surfaces. The center body diameter is larger than the end diameters. The implant magnet and the magnet receptacle are configured to cooperate to permit the implant magnet to be inserted into or removed from the magnet receptacle through either of the receptacle openings.

This first communication session may occur before implantation while the implantable medical device is positioned outside of the sterile field so that using a proximity communication is easily achieved. Once the implantable medical device is passed into the sterile field for implantation, the external device may then establish a second far field communication session with the implantable medical device where the last key that was used for the first communication session is again used for the second communication session which avoids the need for another proximity communication to occur within the sterile field.

In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining, while a user is engaged in performance of a task, physiological signals from physiological sensors accessible to the user. Feature sets are identified from the physiological signals which correlate with cognitive stress experienced by the user. Using a regression model, a stress indicator metric comprising a quantitative estimate of the cognitive stress is predicted. The regression model is trained using the feature sets and independently determined quantitative estimates of cognitive stress used as a ground truth to output the value of the stress indicator metric.
