Abstract: In an example embodiment, a service that analyzes location information of a client as the client roams. For example, whenever a trigger event occurs, such as a change in the association state, a change in Internet Protocol (IP) address, etc., a determination is made whether the event was expected. If the event was not expected, the location of where the trigger event occurred can be determined enabling a network administrator to investigate roaming problems at a particular location.
Abstract: Aspects of a system for keyboard, sound and mouse (KSM) over LAN A/V bridging and A/V bridging extensions for graphics thin client applications may include an I/O controller within an LAN subsystem, which enables generation of response data based on input signals from a keyboard device and/or mouse device that is coupled to a computing device. The generated response data may be encapsulated within an encapsulating PDU. The encapsulating PDU may comprise an Ethernet frame and/or and IP packet. The encapsulating PDU may be transmitted via a network based on a traffic class designation. The traffic class designation may enable the transmission of the generated response data via the network based on specified latency target values. A time stamp value may be generated for the encapsulating PDU. The encapsulating PDU may include at least one data type identifier, which indicates that the encapsulating PDU contains the generated response data.
Abstract: A transmission apparatus exercises insertion control for inserting a client signal and a stuff byte into a payload area in a frame into which the client signal is to be mapped, and sends the frame after the insertion control. In addition, the transmission apparatus inserts the client signal or the stuff byte in columns of the frame into the payload area except a leading column.

The second changeover device includes m first inputs, m second inputs and m outputs, with a first input and a second input having one associated changeover element by means of which an associated output can be selectively connected to the first or to the second input. The controller switches the first and second changeover devices and switching matrices.
Abstract: A receiver is enabled to perform self-configuration of the main data link to receive and display video data. A video data signal is received through a data link having multiple channels or lanes at a specific bit rate. No link configuration data normally associated with the video signal is received. It is then determined which one or more of the channels of the data link are active in transmitting the data signal. A symbol pattern in the data signal is then identified. The symbol rate of the data signal is then synchronized with the local clock frequency. The local clock frequency is set to correspond to the actual bit rate of the data signal, thereby creating a signal-based clock frequency. This local clock frequency is set using only the data signal since no link configuration data associated with the signal is received. In this manner, the receiver configures or trains the link itself using only the video data signal and therefore, the receiver may be described as self-sufficient.
Abstract: A User Equipment, UE, of a cellular communication system transmits scheduling assistance data to a base station comprising a base station scheduler which schedules uplink packet data. The scheduling assistance data relates to uplink packet data transmission from the UE. The UE comprises a channel controller which is operable to cause the scheduling assistance data to be transmitted from the UE to the base station in a first physical resource of an uplink air interface. The first physical resource is not managed by the base station based scheduler. The scheduling assistance data may specifically be transmitted in a first transport channel multiplexed with other transport channels on a physical resource. The transport channels may be individually optimized and may have different termination points and transmission reliabilities. Specifically, the transport channel supporting the scheduling assistance data signaling may have a high reliability and be terminated in the base station.

Abstract: The embodiments described herein present methods and apparatuses for on-path CAC operations in a MPLS-VPN environment. In an example embodiment, an ingress PE device receives a quality of service (QoS) resource reservation request; constructs an outgoing message that includes information allowing an egress PE device to identify the virtual private network routing and forwarding table (VRF) associated with a resource reservation resulting from the QoS resource reservation request; and transmits the outgoing message to the egress PE device, where the information allowing VRF identification is echoed back by the egress PE device and used by the ingress PE device to identify the VRF associated with the resource reservation resulting from the QoS resource reservation request. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a method for providing UE session resilience performed in a first PDN-GW that is coupled to a second PDN-GW, which are both in a PDN-GW pool. The method provides UE session resilience by allowing the first PDN-GW to provide connectivity for UE sessions previously serviced by the second PDN-GW after the second PDN-GW becomes non-operational. The first PDN-GW recognizes that the second PDN-GW failed and then activates a plurality of standby UE sessions. Each standby UE session is a backup UE session corresponding to a previously active UE session serviced on the second PDN-GW. Each standby UE session is associated with a UE device and a network resource identifier of an APN slice. The first PDN-GW transmits a message to a SGW that is servicing the UE sessions that indicates that the SGW should direct traffic previously bound for the second PDN-GW to the first PDN-GW.

Abstract: A method of distributing video program material includes encoding the program material in accordance with a first distribution constraint (CBR) to produce a first stream (A), encoding the program material in accordance with a second distribution constraint, which is more relaxed that the first distribution constraint, to produce a second stream (B), and employing the first and second streams to produce a third stream (C) representing differences between the first and second streams.
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for transmit protection in a femtocell system are provided. A multi-stage transmit protection routine prohibits radio transmissions for unregistered femtocell systems and transmissions from femtocell systems in unauthorized areas. A femtocell system may request transmission authorization from a base station manager. The base station manager may provide an authorization failure if the femtocell system is not registered or if the source address of the femtocell system is not within a predefined distance of a registered location of the femtocell system. If the femtocell is provided a transmission authorization, the femtocell system may obtain a GPS location from a user equipment and provide the GPS location to the base station manager which evaluates the location. The base station manager may provide an authorization failure if the GPS location is not within a predefined distance of the registered location of the femtocell system.
Abstract: In a mobile communication system, which has a plurality of radio network controllers and a number of radio base stations connected to each of the radio network controllers, for sending and receiving user data between a host network and mobile stations via the radio network controllers and radio base stations, a plurality of transmission paths that pass through one or more radio network controllers are set up between a base station, which sends and receives radio signals to and from a mobile station, and the host network. When data is being sent and received using one transmission path from the host network to a base station through a radio network controller, traffic conditions on this transmission path are monitored. When traffic has increased, the user data is dispersed by being passed through a plurality of transmission paths.

Abstract: Techniques for sending signaling for data transmission in a wireless communication system are described. A transmitter may process signaling for a data transmission based on a block code, a convolutional code, a transformation, etc. The signaling may comprise an identifier of an intended receiver for the data transmission and/or other information such as data rate, resource assignment, etc. The signaling for the data transmission may be mapped to a first set of tones in a time slot. Data for the data transmission may be mapped to a second set of tones in the time slot. The entire signaling may be sent on the first set of tones. Alternatively, the first set of tones may be selected from among multiple sets of tones or pseudo-randomly selected from among available tones based on a first part of the signaling. A second part of the signaling may be sent on the first set of tones.
