Abstract: A misregistration correcting apparatus form an edge list showing information of edges of one scan line from stored drawing objects, updates the formed edge list, and converts the formed edge list into a bit map of one scan line. The updating comprises a first edge list updating that updates the formed edge list on the basis of setting information of a trapping based on characteristics of a printing apparatus and an edge list of a one-line preceding line of the one scan line, and a second edge list updating that updates the edge list on the basis of the trapping setting information and a span showing an outline of the drawing object on the edge list.

Abstract: Upon startup of an OS, the present invention obtains an entry of a StatusMonitor key from all printer driver setting information subscribed in a registry by means of a subscriber (S0), and if a value thereof is 1, obtains an entry of a key including “Notification”. If a value of an array element 0 indicates activation of notification, the present invention obtains a character string of an array element 1 as an event type, and makes a Subscribe request to an image forming apparatus (S3). The present invention stores a subscription ID being returned, and makes an Unsubscribe request to the image forming apparatus for all subscription IDs thus stored, upon shut-down of the OS.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided with a book data acquisition unit which acquires a book data item including a plurality of image data items related to covers and individual pages of a book, a length acquisition unit which acquires a longitudinal length and a lateral length of the book based on lengths of two sides of the plurality of image data items included in the book data item, and an image data determination unit which compares the longitudinal and lateral lengths of the book to the lengths of the two sides of each of the image data items to determine the image data item determined to include neither one page nor two facing pages as the image data item including a spine image.

Abstract: Visual information is used to alter or set an operating parameter of an audio signal processor, other than a beamformer. A digital camera captures visual information about a scene that includes a human speaker and/or a listener. The visual information is analyzed to ascertain information about acoustics of a room. A distance between the speaker and a microphone may be estimated, and this distance estimate may be used to adjust an overall gain of the system. Distances among, and locations of, the speaker, the listener, the microphone, a loudspeaker and/or a sound-reflecting surface may be estimated. These estimates may be used to estimate reverberations within the room and adjust aggressiveness of an anti-reverberation filter, based on an estimated ratio of direct to indirect (reverberated) sound energy expected to reach the microphone.

Abstract: Synchronizing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) operation includes receiving operation information of the GUI operation performed on a first machine. The operation information includes object information and action information. The object information is in a first language and indicates a GUI object to which the GUI operation is directed. The action information indicates an action performed by the GUI operation on the GUI object. The object information in the first language is converted to object information in a second language. A GUI object in a GUI displayed on a second machine is identified according to the object information in the second language. The action indicated by the action information is performed on the identified GUI object.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program for performing voice commands on a mobile device and presenting the results on an interactive timeline is disclosed. A user may utter a voice command into the microphone of their mobile device while an application is running. The voice command is processed to derive the intention of the user, specifically by determining the domain, at least one task and at least one parameter for the task from the voice command. A services component performs the task identified and presents the results on the mobile device screen. In various embodiments, the results are presented on a timeline and may be grouped together by domains and sorted by the time that the results were obtained. A search history view may also be viewed that includes search results sorted chronologically each of which is represented graphically by an icon that represents the category of each search.

Abstract: Provided herein is a sentence hiding and displaying system comprising: an image creating interface receiving an input of information on an original image, a plurality of sentences corresponding to the original image, and a language that needs to be hidden; an image creator configured to determine a sentence that needs to be hidden based on the plurality of sentences and the language that needs to be hidden, and to create on the original image an image where the sentence that needs to be hidden is hidden; a sentence display interface configured to receive an input of information on a language selected by a user; and a sentence extractor and displayer configured to parse a sentence expressed in the selected language of among sentences that need to be hidden based on the hidden image and the selected language, and to display the sentence expressed in the selected language.
