Abstract: A system and method for selling software products over a network. The system includes a server computer with access to software products. The system is configured to allow a user to purchase a subscription for the periodic acquisition of selected software products. In one embodiment, as part of the subscription, the user pays an amount during selected billing intervals. In return, the system issues to the user a number of credits for downloading at no additional charge at least one of the software products during a credit interval, which may be equal in length to the billing interval. In one embodiment, the system debits a number of credits in response to fulfilling a user's purchase request. The system may be also configured to deduct credits that are not used within selected credit intervals.

Abstract: A mobile device such as a tablet computer accesses a server to search a product catalog. The catalog is displayed as a broad classifications of products, which when selected result in the display of sub-classifications within the classification. Levels of searching are provided to the product level, and movement within each level is possible.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter relates to a computer-implemented architecture that can provide a non-invasive comparative shopping tool, such as a browser plug-in. For example, the plug-in can determine whether a web user is currently visiting a purchase page, thus indicating that the web user is likely to be interested in purchasing items online. Upon making this determination, the plug-in can display a non-invasive listing (that can be quickly and conveniently dismissed) of comparable items at favorable prices (or with favorable features, etc.) that are available for purchase at other web sites. In addition, the plug-in can communicate with a data store, e.g., by way of the web, in order to help make various determination as well as to receive the listing of comparable items.

Abstract: A method for automating an onboarding process for a developer onto a service delivery hub operated by a network operator includes providing the developer with information relating to use of the service delivery hub, receiving data relating to the developer, approving the developer, certifying an application provided by the developer, and configuring the application for use. A method for synchronization with the service delivery hub is also provided.

Abstract: Feeds in a network-based marketplace are described. The system receives a request, over a network, from a user that is associated with feed selection information, and identifies source feeds based on the feed selection information. The source feeds respectively include a first plurality of content elements. The system generates a presentation feed by retrieving a second plurality of content elements from the source feeds. The generating is performed continuously and in real-time. The system segments the presentation feed into pages and generates interfaces that include a first interface based on the pages. The system communicates the first interface, over the network, to the user, responsive to the receiving of the request.

Abstract: An order processing system operates in conjunction with external systems to process orders received by an online shopping system. The order processing system maintains execution references that indicate that an external system is performing an action with respect to an item in an order. Each execution reference may store data defining the state of the corresponding execution. The external systems may update the stored state according to a state machine, which may be an acyclic directed graph. The order processing system also maintains an execution registry including data specifying the actions performed by external systems that may not be performed in combination. When a request is received to start an action with respect to an item in an order, the order processing system uses the execution references associated with the item and the execution registry to determine if the request may be granted.

Abstract: A system that transforms a customer order into a service order is provided. The system receives a customer order including customer order lines, where each customer order line includes a product action and a product offering that is based on a product specification. The system further defines a structured set of metadata including product specifications, customer-facing service specifications, relationships, and mappings. The system further defines a transformation sequence including customizable process logic, where the customizable process logic is structured within stages. The system further transforms the customer order lines into service order lines based on the metadata and the transformation sequence, where each service order line includes a service action and a customer-facing service based on a customer-facing service specification. The system further generates a service order including the service order lines.

Abstract: Techniques and systems provide transparency in hidden transaction details for an item. A process comprises crawling one or more electronic marketplaces to identify an item presented in an item offering, extracting offer details in the item offering, emulating an ordering process for acquiring the item to determine transaction details that are revealed after the ordering process is initiated, and presenting at least a portion of the transaction details with item and offer details. In some embodiments, the offer details include a list price for the item, and the transaction details include a true price for the item with a hidden cost included in the true price. The hidden cost may be compared to a threshold to determine if it is excessive. A seller identified with the item offering may be designated with a rating indicative of a reputation of the seller for providing excessive hidden costs with item offerings.

Abstract: Providing an online store interface that maintains continuity of a user browsing experience by layering a product view on top of referring product views or online-store pages such that a user can navigate back to the referring page without needing the previous page to reload, and re-navigate to the point the user left off. Providing the ability for an item preview to continue even when a user navigates the online store interface away from the preview page further preserves browsing continuity. The present technology also provides a mechanism for allowing users to specify favorite categories and have them listed as tabs in the user interface when the online store is browsed with an appropriate device.

Abstract: An announcement distributor distributes, or auctions an opportunity to distribute, an announcement to an announcement recipient such as a consumer, issuer, merchant, or acquirer within a payment processing system. The announcement when there has been a satisfaction of an announcement condition, such as the consumer being determined to be located within a predetermined spatial zone. The content of the announcement may, in turn, facilitate a subsequent cashless transaction for resources of merchants. Implementations describe various permutations of the content of the announcement, the announcement condition, and the announcement recipient.

Abstract: Methods and systems relating to a reseller analysis tool are described. In some embodiments, electronic commerce transaction information associated with a plurality of electronic commerce transactions occurring using an electronic commerce system is received at the electronic commerce system. A set of resale transactions from the plurality of electronic commerce transactions is identified using the electronic commerce transaction information, including identifying the set of resale transactions based on resale criteria capable of indicating a sale of an item by an entity that previously purchased the item using the electronic commerce transaction system. A set of rules associated with resale transactions is generated, including generating the set of rules based on the electronic commerce transaction information associated with the set of resale transactions. Based on the set of rules, user transaction information relevant to a transaction associated with a user is provided.

At least one embodiment of a method includes receiving an indication to send a previously created customized order to a vendor and retrieving at least one component of the customized order according to the indication. Some embodiments include determining the vendor associated with the customized order and sending the at least one component of the customized order to the vendor in a first manner, the vendor being configured to receive the customized order.

Abstract: A system is provided comprising a plurality of listings, a plurality of labels associated with at least some of the listings. Additionally, a plurality of form inputs are provided, each associated with one of the labels, wherein selection of a form input causes a transition of the associated label from a first state to a second state. The system further includes a link that is made active upon the transition, thereby associating an action with a label wherein a first description is displayed in the first state and a second description is displayed in the second state.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for capturing information associated with wireless audio sounds among a plurality of users. When a user encounters audio sound files of interest, the user can capture information regarding the audio sounds, such as title, artist, collection, genre, year, encoding rate, size, playlist, a unique identifier, or other desired information. The information can be used to seamlessly purchase the sound files from a remote digital repository.

Abstract: A system is disclosed that integrates secondary content, such as articles retrieved from a collaborative encyclopedia or other content site, into an electronic catalog system or site that hosts an interactive electronic catalog. In some embodiments, the system operates by retrieving secondary content articles from an external system or site, and by supplementing these articles with interactive display elements for accessing related catalog content and/or functions. For example, if an article mentions a particular catalog item or group of catalog items, it may be supplemented with a selectable display element for viewing catalog content associated with the referenced item or item group. The supplemented articles are made available to users via pages of the electronic catalog system or site.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for generating interactive maps for browsing items in a catalog. A first map of items that includes graphical representations of each one of a first set of items is generated. A selected item is determined according to a selection of one of the graphical representations of the first set of items. A second set of items is determined based at least in part on similarity of the second set of items to the selected item. A second map of items that includes graphical representations of each one of the second set of items is generated. The graphical representations of each one of the second set of items are arranged in the second map of items relative to the graphical representation of the selected item based at least in part on a corresponding degree of similarity of the respective item to the selected item.

Abstract: A system to provide price adjustments based on indicated product interest includes reception of an indication from a customer of interest in a first product, reception of an indication from a customer of interest in a second product, determination of a price adjustment for the second product based on the indication of interest in the first product, and transmission of the price adjustment to the customer. By virtue of the foregoing features, a retailer may be willing to provide a price adjustment for the second product which would otherwise not be provided. Moreover, such a price adjustment may incent the customer to purchase the second product in a case that the second product would not otherwise be purchased, thereby potentially increasing a total profit received by the retailer.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computerized method facilitates invoicing for transactions in a network-based transaction system. The method includes identifying a plurality of transactions to which a first entity is a party, identifying first and second transactions from the plurality of transactions that satisfy combinable criteria relating to combining transactions into a single invoice, and providing to the first entity an indication of the combinability of transactions of the first and second transactions into the single invoice. The method can also be implemented on a machine readable medium.

Abstract: An accessory-specific user experience can be invoked at a mobile host device attached to an accessory device. The mobile device can receive accessory device information from the accessory and transmit the accessory device information to an online marketplace. The mobile device can receive information indicating accessory-specific goods or services available from the online marketplace and display the received information as part of the invoked user experience. The accessory device information can comprise accessory usage categories as well as additional information about the accessory. A marketplace can select accessory-specific goods or services based on the received accessory device information based on matching between accessory attribute values associated with the goods and services and accessory attributes values contained in the received accessory device information.
